TS ePASS: The scholarships in Telangana state are intended for learners who are a member of the education system. TS ePASS Pre-Matric Scholarships For SC/ST/BC/Disabled Welfare

  • Scholars studying in class 9 and 10 are eligible to apply.

TS ePASS Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) for SC/ST/BC/Disabled Welfare

  • The scholarship is available for learners who have qualified class 10 with a minimum of 75% attendance at the end of per quarter.
  • All must be persevering studies at post-matriculation level i.e. class 11th to postgraduation.

TS ePASS Mahatma Jyothiba Phule BC/EBC Overseas Vidya Nidhi, Telangana

  • Bachelor students ready to pursue postgraduate studies from a university abroad can apply.
  • Maximum age limit is 30 years as on 1st July of the year of application.
  • Annual family income should be Less than INR 1.5 Lakh (for rural areas) and less than INR 2 Lakh (for urban areas)
  • Only applicable to the single child of the family.
  • Minimum percentage of marks needed in the institution degree should be 60% in branches like management, engineering, humanities, social sciences, pure sciences, medicine, nursing, and agriculture science.

TS ePASS Chief Minister’s Overseas Scholarship Scheme for Minorities

  • The scholarship is available for graduate or postgraduate scholars in branches like management, engineering, social sciences, pure sciences, medicine, nursing, agriculture sciences, and humanities.
  • The minimum percentage of scores in the qualifying exam must be 60%.
  • The students must be willing to seek a postgraduate or doctoral degree abroad in the USA, UK, Australia, Singapore, and Canada.
  • Maximum age limit is 30 years as on 1 July of the year of application.
  • Annual family income should be Less than INR 2 Lakh.

TS ePASS Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi for SC/ST Students

  • The scholarship is available for graduate or postgraduate scholars in branches like management, engineering, social sciences, pure sciences, medicine, nursing, agriculture sciences, and humanities.
  • The minimum percentage of scores in the qualifying exam must be 60%.
  • The students must be willing to seek a postgraduate or doctoral degree abroad in the USA, UK, Australia, Singapore, and Canada.
    Maximum age limit is 35 years as on 1 July of the year of advertisement.
  • Annual family income should be Less than INR 2 Lakh (for SC students) and less than INR 2.50 Lakh (for ST students).

  • Visit the official website https://telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in/
  • Click on the particular scholarship, which you are applying for.
  • Click on the “Registration” option to start the new application.
  • Fill in the necessary details like student particulars, school/college, bank account details, permanent address, annual income certificate, caste certificate, etc.
  • After then, upload scanned copy of photo, signature and all supporting documents.

  • Not a bonafide student.
  • Incorrect caste or Income information.

TS ePASS – Important Instructions

  • TS ePASS is fairly available for all the candidates belonging to any of the categories such as General, OBC, SC, ST.
  • It is necessary for students to attach a hardcopy of the photocopy of the bank passbook with the application form.
  • Registrants must submit the application form in the department concerned, in person and must receive the receipt.
  • Candidates must provide their own effective email ID and mobile phone number.
  • All the details and documents produced by the candidate must be authentic and real. If the given information is obtained wrong, then the application and data collected will be rejected.
  • Suspect applications will not be sent for scholarship and will be discarded at the same time.
  • Failed students are not eligible and should not apply for the scholarship.
  • Candidates who have applied for the scholarship or willing to apply are suggested to not share their individual details, bank account number, IFSC code, class 10th/12th roll number, password, and other delicate information to anyone.
  • Candidates can review their application status from time to time on the official website.

  • Candidates, those who are already enrolled with portal have to renew the account by adding the updates. No new registration is required.

Can a student register after the last date of application?

Answer:
No, students have to register themselves within the given time limit, unless the date is extended by the concerned authority.

Is bank account details necessary?

Answer:
Yes, it is necessary, to receive the scholarship amount. Students should have an account in any of the nationalized scheduled banks.

Question 3.
How can a student change their bank details, if he/she has already given details while registration on epass website?

Answer:
Any student who wish to change their bank account details in the epass portal has to submit the original bank documents to concerned welfare officer who further submits a change request to the PMU.

Question 4.
What is the meaning of verification in the scholarship process?

Answer:
The method of verification is actually meant to check whether the details given in the scholarship form are accurate as per the documents included.  The verification is made in two steps particularly college verification and Independent verification.

  • College Verification:  Here, the college principal has been asked to verify the documents provided by each student with the details in the application form.  Once the verification is finished and all details are found correct, he/she would certainly sign the same and send it to the department for confirmation by the verification officer appointed by the District Collector
  • Verification by the Verification Officer:  the verification officer appointed by the District Collector will conduct physical and documentary verification and submit his report either accepting or rejecting the scholarship application.
  • Scrutiny by the Welfare Officer: before each and every application is taken up for permission it is the responsibility of the welfare officer to satisfy himself of the verification by the college principal and the verification officer and finally sanction the scholarship.

What is a post-matric Scholarship (PMS)?

Answer:
A post matric scholarship is granted to students by the welfare departments of the Govt. for allowing eligible students who have passed Class 10th (SSC examination or equivalent to seek post-matric studies such as intermediate, ITI, polytechnic, professional courses, graduate and postgraduate courses, Ph.D. etc.

  • Click on the “Student” section and choose “New Registration”.

  • Take the print out of registration slip for later reference.

AP ePASS Timeline

It is necessary to submit the application form online within one month from the date of admission. The principal of the Colleges or schools should issue the bonafide certificate on the same day of submission of the application form (hard copy) in the college.

Field Officer/ASWO

  • Verification would be done physically twice in a year.
  • Within one month of re-opening of college.
  • Within one month from the last date of closing of Admissions.

An officer from any of the Government Department verifies the Certificates and confirms their candidature in the Starting day of AP Epass.

If any candidate missed the process will have to face many problems. Hence, the Government has introduced the Biometric Process of Verification. The school or college can conduct this at any time. The overall process should be completed within one month of submission of application.

Important Instructions for AP ePASS

  • AP Epass is fairly open for all the candidates belonging to any of the categories such as General, OBC, SC, ST.
  • It is important for students to attach a hardcopy of the photocopy of the SBI bank passbook with the application form.

How much reimbursement, a student can get?

Answer:
The reimbursement off tuition will be dependent on the course you pursue.  While most of the courses are eligible for 100% of the tuition fee as fixed by the government. Self-financed courses are eligible only for a maximum of Rs. 20,000 or the actual fee charged by the college, whichever is less.

Question 2.
Can I obtain a scholarship for the previous year?

Answer:
No, the scholarship can be claimed only for the current year. Scholarships for the previous year can not be claimed under any circumstance.

Question 3.
How do I know my verification officer?

Answer:
The District Collector appoints verification officers for one or more colleges depending on the number of students in the college. The verification process is a two-step verification process:

  • Verification by the College Principle: All applications to be verified individually by the college and signed by the principal of the college.
  • Verification by the verification officer: The verification officer will have to verify all the student in the college an appointed date and time.

Question 4.
What is the meaning of verification in the scholarship process?

Answer:
The process of verification is essentially meant to check whether the particulars given in the scholarship form are correct as per the documents enclosed.  The verification is done in two steps namely college verification and Independent verification.

  • College Verification:  In this verification, the college has been mandated to verify the documents furnished by each student with the entry made in the application form.  Once the verification is completed and all entries are found correct, he would finally sign the same and send it to the department for verification by the verification officer appointed by the District Collector
  • Verification by the Verification Officer:  the verification officer appointed by the District Collector will conduct physical and documentary verification and submit his report either accepting or rejecting the scholarship application.
  • Scrutiny by the Welfare Officer: before each and every application is taken up for sanction it is the responsibility of the welfare officer to satisfy himself of the verification by the college principal and the verification officer and finally sanction the scholarship.

  3. Students must be studying in class 11th or 12th.
  4. Students should secure 75% and above in class 10th.
  5. The student should be a domicile of Maharashtra.

Rajarshri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship – Benefits

  • Under this scheme, the SC students who secured 75% in the SSC examination and takes admission in Class XI will get scholarship Rs.300 per month for 10 months for two years.
  • This Scholarship will be given in addition to the Government of India (GOI) scholarship and freeship

Post-Matric Scholarship for Persons with Disability – Eligibility

  1. The students who are disabled are eligible to apply. (40% or above)
  2. The students should be a domicile of Maharashtra.
  3. The students should be studying in recognized university or institute.
  4. The scholarship will not be applicable if the candidate fails or quits the same course.

Vocational Education Fee for Reimbursement

  1. The student’s annual family income should not exceed Rs.2.5 Lakh.
  2. The students should belong to ST category only.
  3. The students who are enrolled for vocational education courses like, Engineering, Pharmacy, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, Vaastu Shastra, MBA, and MCA will be eligible.
  4. Tuition fees and exam fees as per approved college fee structure will be waived under this scheme.

Vocational Education Maintenance Allowance

  1. The student’s annual family income should not exceed Rs.2.5 Lakh.
  2. The students should belong to ST category only.

  • The family annual income should not exceed Rs.8 lakh.
  • The candidates belonging to general category and have taken admission are eligible to apply.
  •  The Candidate should not avail any other scholarship or stipend.
  •  The courses which students have enrolled in should be approved by the government or AICTE.
  • The students should not have had 2-year of the gap during their course.
  • The students must have given all semester examinations.
  • 100% tuition fee waived for Government & Non-government aided courses for students up to Rs.2.5 Lakh family annual income.
  • For students with family annual income up to 8 Lakh will receive 50% Government and Non-government aided tuition fees.
  • 50% and 100% of the examination fee will be paid for professional and non-professional courses.

Assistance to Meritorious Students Scholarship Junior Level

  • The students from class 11th & 12th class are eligible to apply.
  • The students should have a DHE sanctioned letter.
  • The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra can apply for this scheme.
  • The AMS junior-level scholarship amount is up to Rs.3000.
  • The AMS senior-level scholarship amount is up to Rs.7000.

Education Concession to the Children of Ex-Servicemen

  • The Candidate’s son/daughter/wife/widow of ex-servicemen are eligible.
  • The students should be enrolled in government-aided colleges only.
  • The Maharashtrian Students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.
  • The college dress allowance and books allowance is paid up to Rs.445.

Eklavya Scholarship

  • Arts with at least 60% marks in Science with at least 70% marks.
  • The annual income of the Candidate’s parents should not exceed Rs.75000.
  • The Candidate must be a resident of Maharashtra state.
  • The beneficiary should not do a part-time or full-time job.
  • The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.
  • The students must have graduated in degree courses in Law, Commerce.
  • The scholarship worth Rs.5000 is for all the sanctioned students.

  • The students family annual income should not exceed Rs.8 lakh.
  • 30% scholarship is reserved for female candidates and 70% for the male Candidates.
  • The Candidate should be a domicile of Maharashtra.
  • A total annual course fee of Rs.25,000 is waived off for the student.

MahaDBT Application Procedure

The candidates can apply for Maharashtra DTE scholarship via Aaple Sarkar DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) portal. This platform is uniquely run by the Government of Maharashtra for the students to help them get the benefits of various schemes available. Also, students should make a note that the Aadhaar number is necessary from the academic session 2018-19 to apply for any scholarship via the portal. The candidates are suggested to go through the instructions carefully and get the awareness of all the requirements before filling up the scholarship form. Follow the steps below to apply for the scholarships:

  1. Visit the MahaDBT website owned by Aaple Sarkar DBT Portal.
  2. Click on “New Applicant Registration” for a new application.
  3. Provide an Aadhaar number and other necessary details.
  4. Choose one of the options, to verify the Aadhaar number, such as OTP or the Biometric.
  5. Once the authentication is done, the applicant details will be automatically fetched from UIDAI, filling the personal details, address details, bank details, etc.
  6. After logging in, the dashboard with a list of the scholarship will appear on the screen.

DCE Scholarship: DCE scholarship which is also known as Kerala scholarship is being run by the Kerala government and it’s various departments. Maulana Azad Scholarship 2019: Maulana Azad Education Foundation offers ‘Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship’ to the meritorious girl students who belong to one of the six communities (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsis, and Jains). Last to submit the online form is September 30, 2019. There are no fees charged for online application.

University Grant Commission (UGC) offers Maulana Azad National Fellowship (MANF) to the students of six minority communities. The last date to submit online application is December of every year. Candidates can apply online through the official portal of UGC.

Maulana Azad Scholarship 2019-20

Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship is offered by Maulana Azad Education Foundation, Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India. Girl students from class 9th to 12th are eligible to apply for this scholarship. The annual family income of the student must not be more than INR 2 lakhs. Candidate must have passed the qualifying examination minimum 50% marks from a recognized institute. Girl students studying in class 9th and 10th will get INR 5000 each per year and studying in class 11th and 12th will get INR 6000 each per year.

Maulana Azad National Fellowship (MANF) is offered by the University Grant Commission (UGC) for six minority communities (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsis, and Jains). Candidates are provided five-year fellowships in the form of financial assistance who are studying M.Phil and Ph.D. programs in India. The annual family income must not exceed INR 2.5 lakhs. Fellowship of INR 25000 per month is provided for two-years (JRF) and INR 28000 per month (SRF).

The maximum duration of M.Phil is two-years and for M.Phil+Ph.D., the duration is five-years.

Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship’s amount is divided into two parts: one for class 9th and 10th and another for class 11th and 12th. Class 9th and 10th class students are provided the amount of INR 5000 per year and students of class 11th and 12th are provided a scholarship of INR 6000 per year.

Fellowship of INR 25000 per month is provided to JRF students for two-year and INR 28000 to SRF students for remaining tenure. UGC has fixed different scholarship amounts for Humanities, Social Science and Commerce, Science and Escorts/Reader Assistance.

JK Scholarship: JK Scholarship also is known as PMSSS is meant for students of Jammu and Kashmir who are willing to get higher education in various fields such as, Engineering and Technology, Nursing, Pharmacy, Hotel Management, and Catering Technology, Architecture, Crafts and Design, Arts, Medical and General education. The scheme is also available for Diploma passed students who want to do graduation in Engineering and Technology as Lateral Entry(2nd year BE/BTech).

Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS), J&K is an elite scholarship opportunity for students who are citizens of Jammu and Kashmir. Begun in the year 2011, the scheme strives at improving employment opportunities for the young scholars of the state by granting them financial support to proceed with studies at an undergraduate level outside J&K. 5000 fresh scholarships every year, for studying in the best academic institutions outside J&K. Administered by the All India Council for Technical Education, the AICTE JK Scholarship is executed within the state by J&K Cell.

Scholarships for Students

JK Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the JK Scholarship, students have to fulfill certain requirements which essentially depend on their domicile, academic qualification, and family income. Know about the eligibility criteria which are necessary to be accomplished for this scholarship here.

  • Students should be State Subject (domicile) of J&K State
  • Students should have Passed 10+2 Exam from JKBOSE or CBSE affiliated schools located in J&K
  • Students should have Passed 10+3 Diploma from J&K State Polytechnic for admission directly in the second year in the prescribed list of Colleges against on the vacant seats of the previous year
  • Overall Family income of the student should not exceed Rs. 8.00 Lakh per annum

If a student is not eligible:

  • The students are persevering their studies within open universities.
  • The students who are already undergoing financial assistance under this plan or any other scholarship scheme.
  • The students getting admission within the management quota.
  • The students who are persevering studies at the postgraduation level.
  • The students who have procured admission to a college other than the designated colleges.
  • The students getting admission within NGOs/Agents.
  • The students who have annual family earnings greater than INR 8 Lakh per annum.

JK Scholarship Application Procedure

Every year, AICTE welcomes online applications from eligible candidates on its official website. If candidates fulfill all the eligibility criteria for JK scholarship, they can apply for it, following the below steps:

  • Visit the AICTE JK Scholarship official website, www.aicte-jk-scholarship-gov.in.
  • Click on the registration button to apply for PMSSS.
  • Fill in all necessary details.
  • Submit the registration form.
  • On successful registration, candidates will receive an SMS/email on a registered mobile number/email for verification.
  • Click on the verification link to perform the registration process.
  • After the successful registration, candidates are required to log in via the AICTE JK Scholarship website.
  • Keep the scanned copies of all the supporting documents in jpg/png format with the file size not more than 2 MB.
  • Once logged in, read the brochure thoroughly, tick the declaration and click on “Proceed Further” button.
  • Fill in all necessary details in the application form such as personal information, address, family income, educational details, etc.
  • Upload all supporting documents as particularized and preview the application form.
  • Provide the details of preferences and grievance centre details.
  • Finally, submit the application form by clicking on “Submit Application”.
  • After successful submission of application online, the candidates are required to get the print out of the application form and visit the facilitation center along with all supporting certificates in original for document verification.
  • Present the photocopies of all the certificates to the facilitation center at the time of verification.
  • Once the document verification is done, the candidates are required to assemble a copy of their document verification report.

  • Passport-sized photograph of the candidate (preferred size – 200 X 230 pixels)
  • Scanned signature of the candidate (preferred size – 140 X 60 pixels)
  • SSC/Class 10th mark sheet
  • Domicile/Day Scholar certificate issued by the government of J&K
  • Aadhaar card (if available)
  • Family income certificate issued by the Tehsildar or equivalent
  • Category/Caste certificate issued by the competent authority of state government (if applicable)
  • Certificate of disability (for Persons with Disabilities – PWD)

Note: Aadhar Card is essential for smooth DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) through Public Financial Management System (PFMS).

The applicant is required to get their uploaded documents verified with the originals at the nearest Facilitation Centres set-up by Government of J&K and once it got verified and uploaded with stamp on portal of Facilitation Centres and then only choice filling window will be activated for only The choice filling window will be blocked on the last date, after that no change will be allowed in order of preference. After document verification from the facilitation center, the candidate should collect a copy of the document verification report without fail.

JK Scholarship Selection Process

JK Scholarship conducted by AICTE is completely a merit-based scholarship that examines the marks obtained by students in class 12th for the selection. Apart from this, there are various other conditions on the basis of which choices are made for different streams. These conditions include

  • Only those students will be elected who have secured admission to a degree course after qualifying an entrance examination conducted by either the central government or state government.
  • For admission in MBBS or BDS courses, the candidates have to qualify the NEET (CBSE) examination.
  • For admission in Architecture course, the candidates need to qualify the NATA examination conducted by the Council of Architecture.
  • Caste and category reservations are also available where 8% of the total seats in each stream are held for SC candidates, 11% reservation is for ST candidates, 25% reservation is for SEBC candidates and remaining seats are for General category students.

General Instructions To Candidates of JK Scholarship

  • Applicant should confidently ensure uploading of joining report on the portal of AICTE on or before the last date of joining, which will be verified by the Institute, after which DBT application will be opened by the eligible candidates.
  • An applicant who will not upload their joining report on the portal of AICTE on or before the last date of joining, their seats under the scheme will be canceled automatically and will be allotted to the students in the next/subsequent rounds of counseling (if any).
  • Applicants are required to report for admission at designated University / Institution on the date particularized as per the counseling schedule along with the original documents/testimonials/ certificates required at the time of admission.
  • Nodal Officer may lead the applicant during his/her stay in the college campus.
  • Applicants are advised to visit the AICTE website for all PMSSS updates.
  • No fresh registrations shall be provided in next/subsequent rounds of counseling
  • Applicants must bring the original and one set of self-attested photocopies of the certificates at the time of reporting for final admission in allotted University / Institute.

Vidyasaarathi Scholarship 2019: ACC has declared the vidyasaarathi scholarship for students for the year 2019-20. This scholarship is only available for students that are residing near the ACC plant across the PAN India. ACC vidyasaarathi scholarship is available for the candidates that are pursuing ITI, undergrad courses, BE/BTECH, or Diploma courses. This scholarship program is designed for students that are pursuing any graduation courses like bachelors in commerce, science, arts, or any subsequent branches. This scholarship program is only available for students that are residing near the ACC plant across India. It is not available for the ACC employees or their children.

Vidyasaarathi is an initiative by the NSDL e-governance infrastructure limited in order to reduce the gap in education finance in the country through online means. Students can search through this portal for various education finance schemes that they are qualified for. Industries, fund providers, corporates can promote skill development by organizing education schemes ib vidyasaarathi and these managed schemes. This solution would manage the online education finance lifecycle that is reviewing and submission of an application, disbursement of funds, scholarship awards, and renewal of education finance.

Vidyasaarathi Scholarship 2019

The online application for the vidyasaarathi scholarship begins in the first week of August 2019. While the last date for submission of application form is in the last week of September 2019.

  • The scholarship amount differs for students based on their current program.
  • The basic scholarship amount is up to Rs. 5000.
  • For diploma students, the scholarship amount is up to Rs. 20,000.

MHRD Scholarship 2019: The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Higher Education has released the online notification for MHRD Scholarship 2019. Secondary and higher secondary students can be benefited through this Scholarship. This is the Central Sector Scholarship also available for College and University students. The main objective of this Scholarship is to improve the education sector of the state. Also, provide financial support to meritorious students who are not able to continue their higher studies.

Students studying in class 1 to class 10th can apply for pre-matric scholarships. Students studying in class 11th and 12th can apply for secondary education scholarships. Graduate and postgraduate students can apply for higher education scholarships. Students should read this article below to know the eligibility, application, etc. of MHRD Scholarship 2019-20.

MHRD Scholarship 2019

MHRD provides different scholarships to underprivileged students such as Pre-Matric, Post-Matric, Merit Cum Means, & Minority. So, all the category candidates can fill the MHRD scholarship application form and complete their education without any financial hurdle. The total number of scholarships are allocated between the State Education Boards based on the number of students passing out from various boards in the country within the age limit of 18 to 25 years. The State Education Board distributes scholarships between the pass outs of Science, Commerce and Humanities streams in 3:2:1 ratio. There are 2 categories of MHRD scholarships.

Central Sector Scholarship Scheme

This scholarship is given by MHRD Govt. of India to only the meritorious students who have passed in class 12. 82000 scholarships are awarded every year for pursuing UG/ PG in colleges and universities. Out of 82000 scholarships, 41000 are reserved for boys and remaining 41000 for girl candidates. Scholarships are also awarded for medical, engineering, etc. professional courses. The following are some important points of the scholarship.

  • The Scholarships are distributed based on the senior secondary examination results.
  • Families annual income must not be above Rs. 6 Lakhs.
  • Graduate students will get a scholarship of Rs. 1000/- whereas postgraduate students will get a scholarship of Rs.2000/- per month.
  • Students can also renew their application form if they have secured a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate.
  • Authorities will select the students based on the merit list.

Special Scholarship Scheme for Jammu & Kashmir 

This scheme offers to encourage the students from Jammu & Kashmir to study in institutions outside the State. It provides around 5000 scholarship towards tuition fees and maintenance allowance to students. The rate of scholarship towards tuition fee for Engineering courses is Rs.1.25 Lakh per annum, for Medical Courses Rs.3 Lakh per annum and for General Degree courses Rs.30000 per annum.

However, all students can avail a fixed maintenance allowance of Rs. 1 Lakh per annum. Scholarship amount will be transferred directly to the student’s bank account through the Direct Benefit Transfer mode. 10 supernumerary quota are available in Engineering colleges whereas 2 to 3 supernumerary quota are available in Nursing colleges. This scheme also organizes workshops across states. The main goal of this scheme is to provide all the benefits to the deserving students.  The following are the eligibility criteria of the scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria for Jammu & Kashmir Scholarship Scheme

  • Families annual income must be less than Rs. 6 Lakhs.
  • Students who have passed class 12 from the state and secured admission in Section 12B of UGC Act, AICTE or respective regulatory body approved institutions outside the state.
  • Students should apply online on the AICTE portal www.aicte-jk-scholarship-gov.in.
  • Students pursuing courses through Open Universities and Diploma courses are not eligible.
  • Students should not get benefit from other scholarships.
  • Students must not get admission through management quota.

Scholarship scheme for students from the Non-Hindi speaking States for Post-Matric Studies in Hindi

The main objective of this scheme is to encourage students of Non-Hindi speaking States to study in Hindi. This scheme distributes around 2500 scholarships to meritorious students studying Post-Matric to Ph.D. This scheme also provides Rs. 300 to Rs.1000 per month to each student based on the course and stage of the study. This scheme is implemented by the State Government/ UT Administrations.

MHRD Scholarship – External Scholarships

MHRD enables the nomination process for the external scholarships offered by various countries. Most of these scholarships are for research, Masters and Doctoral courses. Cultural/ Educational Exchange Programmes offers these scholarships. The list of these scholarships is given below.

  • Agatha Harrison Memorial Fellowship by MHRD: This fellowship scheme offers to Indian students with a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at UG/ PG level. This fellowship encourages young scholars interested in pursuing an academic career in Modern Indian Studies sponsored by Government of India at St. Antony’s College, Oxford (U.K.).
  • Korean Government Scholarship by MHRD: This scholarship is provided by the Korean Government to Indian students interested in pursuing higher studies. Indian students have to study at a Korean University or a NIIED designated Institute Under this scholarship. However, the Korean Government will select only 5 students out of 8 nominations and some monthly allowance will be given to those students.
  • Israel Government Scholarship by MHRD: This scholarship is provided by the Isreal Government to Indian students interested in pursuing higher studies at Israel University. Total 7 scholarships are provided to students out of which 2 are for Hebrew language and 5 for a Research under this scholarship. Students will be  benefited with some monthly allowance, health insurance, and tuition fee facilities.
  • Chinese Government Scholarship by MHRD: This scholarship provides an exchange program between China and India. Under this scholarship, students will be benefited from boarding, lodging, health insurance, tuition fee, and other facilities by China Government. Some amount of scholarship will be provided to students.
  • UGC Scholarships by MHRD: University Grants Commission is the educational structure working under MHRD to provide scholarship to the meritorious students for their higher education. This scholarship offers college and university education to economically deprived students.
  • AICTE Scholarships by MHRD: This Scholarship is provided to students on merit basis by AICTE. AICTE offers financial support to students in the form of scholarships. Students should have valid ID proof and bank account details in their name to avail the scholarship benefit.

  • Students can check the payment status on Public Financial Management System (PFMS) portal.
  • Students can click on know your payment on https://pfms.nic.in/Users/LoginDetails/Login.aspx page.
  • After that, the Aadhaar or bank account number can be entered to view the payment status.

MHRD Scholarship Eligibility Criteria 2019-20

Refer to the below eligibility conditions for the MHRD Scholarship 2019-20.

  • Regular students studying in class 12 should have secured 80% marks in the board examination.
  • Students pursuing regular courses in Colleges/University approved by AICTE, UGC Act 1956, Medical Council of India, Dental Council of India and respective regulatory authorities.
  • Students should not be getting the benefit of any other scholarship scheme including State-run scholarship/ Fee waiver/ Reimbursement scheme.
  • Students pursuing Diploma courses are not eligible.
  • Students pursuing correspondence or distance courses are not eligible under the scheme.
  • The amount of the scholarship is payable for a maximum of 4 years for studying in India only at secondary and higher secondary classes.
  • Families annual income must not be above Rs. 6 Lakh.

MHRD Scholarship Scheme 2019-20

  • Selected candidates for MHRD Scholarship 2019 will receive Rs. 6000/- per annum i.e, Rs. 500/- per month for their further studies.
  • The tenure of the scholarship for Ph.D. is strictly 2 years without any extension.
  • During this tenure a scholarship amount of Rs. 12400/- per month will be paid to students.
  • The rate of MHRD Scholarship for the College and University courses is Rs. 10000/- per annum at graduation level. Whereas Rs. 20000/- per annum will be given at the post-graduation level.
  • Students pursuing professional courses with a duration of 5 years will get Rs. 20000/-per annum in the 4th and 5th year.
  • However, students pursuing technical courses such as B.E., B.Tech, etc. will get MHRD Scholarship up to graduation level.

  • Students should visit the official website www.mhrd.gov.in.
  • Applications will be available online in the month of June-July every year.

MHRD Scholarship Selection Criteria 2019-20

Students will be selected for this scholarship on the basis of written test conducted by the Department. However, each State/ Union Territory will conduct its own competitive written test to select students for the award of National Means Cum Merit Scholarship. The following are the two tests conducted at the state-level examination.

Mental Ability Test (MAT)

  • It consists of 90 multiple choice questions for testing verbal and non-verbal reasoning and thinking abilities.
  • The questions will be asked from Analogy, Classification, Hidden Figures, etc.
  • MAT test will be held with a duration of 90 minutes.

Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)

  • It consists of 90 multiple choice questions based on Mathematics, Science and Social Science subjects of class VII and VIII syllabus.
  • SAT test will also be held with a duration of 90 minutes.

MHRD Scholarship Renewal 2019-20

This scholarship is renewable up to 5 years in the same stream at the graduation level. For all professional courses, the scholarship will only be renewed up to the graduation level. If a student is unable to appear in the annual exam due to illness or some incident then the scholarship may be renewed for the next academic year on submission of verified proofs. Students changing their college/ University would be allowed to renew the scholarship. So, students who have applied for MHRD scholarship last year need to fill the renewal form to apply for the same scheme this year. WB Scholarship 2019 – Eligibility

Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship for Minorities: This West Bengal merit cum means scholarship is for students studying from Class 11th onwards. The students are selected on the basis of academic merit and financial need. Candidates must have scored at least 75% marks in case studying in Diploma, Higher Secondary or graduation level. In the case of Post-graduation, a candidate must have scored at least 53% (general) or 55% (engineering) marks. The annual family income must not exceed INR 2.5 lakhs per annum.

West Bengal Post-Matric Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC: Students studying in the post – matriculation or post-secondary level can apply to this scholarship. Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti Scholarship: Girl students who are studying in class 12th or are in a graduate program in Medicine/Engineering/Basic Science at any college in the state are eligible to apply.

West Bengal Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC ST Students: This is a centrally sponsored scholarship scheme for students studying in class 9th and 10th. The annual family income must not exceed INR 2.5 lakhs per annum. Candidate must have a compulsory domicile of the state.

Hindi Scholarship Scheme: Students who have passed Madhyamik, Higher Secondary, undergraduate, postgraduate or research level programs are eligible to apply under this WB scholarship scheme. This scholarship is to promote the Hindi language in Non-Hindi state. Candidate must have passed the previous qualifying examination with at least 60% marks with Hindi as a subject.

Students Eligible for Scholarship

  • Students who have taken admission in 1st year (except Lateral Entry & Integrated course) are only eligible to apply for PMSS. Students must apply online on KSB web portal www.ksb.gov.in. Students should have scored 60% and above in Minimum Educational Qualification (MEQ) i.e 10+2 / Diploma / Graduation.
  • Students studying in 2nd and subsequent years are not eligible. (except for integrated courses – where the 1st portion is academic and 2nd portion is integrated as a professional course, in such cases student need to apply for the scholarship on taking admission as per ‘Para 16 of Important Instructions’ available at link PMSS – New Application – How to Apply for Scholarship.
  • Students who are Dependent Wards / Widows of Ex-Servicemen & Ex-Coast Guard personnel.

Eligible Courses

The Eligibility Criteria for PMSS Courses are as Under

  • First Professional Degree Courses like BE, B Tech, BDS, MBBS, B Ed, BBA, BCA, B Pharma, etc. duly recognized by the respective Government Regulatory Bodies, such as All India Council for Technical Education, Medical Council of India, UGC, etc.
  • Master Degree Courses are not eligible for PMSS except MBA / Management / MCA Courses.
  • Students studying abroad are not eligible for this scheme. No distance learning course is permitted under PMSS. PMSS can be availed for ONE COURSE only

Minimum Eligible Marks in MEQ

Minimum Educational Qualification (MEQ) for entry to various professional courses differs e.g. for MBBS it is 10+2 whereas for BE/B Tech it is 10+2 / Diploma, It is graduation for B.Ed and MBA. A candidate must have minimum 60% marks in MEQ to apply for PM Scholarship Scheme. All subjects will be taken for calculation of 60% marks and not out of best subjects.

NTSE Arunachal Pradesh 2020: State council of educational research and training commonly known as SCERT, Itanagar has released the notification for the NTSE Arunachal Pradesh exam 2019-20. The NTSE exam will be conducted on November 3, 2019. NTSE Arunachal Pradesh exam is supposed to be conducted with students currently studying in class 10. The application process for the NTSE Exam will begin in the month of August and the results are expected to be released in April month next year.

NTSE which is a short form of national talent search exam is going to be conducted in two stages which are stage 1 and stage 2. The NTSE exam conducted in the stage is considered as the selection round for stage 2 exam. The candidates will be selected for NTSE Arunachal Pradesh 2019 exam will compete with each other on the basis of merit-based scholarships at 2nd stage of the NTSE exam. NTSE Chhattisgarh 2019-20: State council of educational research and training Chattisgarh has released the notification for the NTSE Exam for class 10 students for the year 2019-20. The second stage of the NTSE Chattisgarh exam is going to be conducted on June 16, 2020. The students that qualify the NTSE stage 1 exam are eligible to appear in the NTSE Chattisgarh stage 2 exam conducted by the NCERT.

SCERT Chattisgarh will conduct the NTSE Chattisgarh exam for class 10 in various centers in Chattisgarh. The students that qualify the stage 1 exam will be eligible for appearing in the NTSE stage 2 exam conducted by the NCERT. NTSE Chattisgarh test center details:

NTSE Chhattisgarh Application Form

The application form for NTSE Chattisgarh for stage 1 exam will be released in the last week of August. Application forms can be downloaded using the SCERT official website which is scert.cg.gov.in on or before the final date. Below is the step by step process to download the NTSE Chhattisgarh application form:

  • The candidates that appearing for the NTSE exam and applying through online mode are instructed to fill the application form and submit the form.
  • However, for filling the application form, candidates need to register themselves on the official NTSE exam website.
  • After registration is done successfully, candidates need to download the application form from the main website of the university.
  • Then the candidates need to keep all the important documents ready to fill in with the application form.
  • During the filling of the application form, candidates will be required to enter the personal details, contact details, course-related details, and more additional details will be required.
  • Candidates are advised to fill all the details in the application form properly and correctly.
  • Once the details are entered in the application form completely, candidates are instructed to upload the relevant documents with the application form in the size and format mentioned on the main website.
  • Once the procedure for filling the application form is done applicants are requested to take a printout of the application form.
  • After that applicant has to pay the application fee as mentioned below.
  • After the application form is duly signed, submit it before the due date and complete your application process.

NTSE Chattisgarh Eligibility Criteria

  • For class 10 students, the student must be studying in the recognized school or is eligible to appear for the stage 1 exam conducted by the state
  • Candidates that will qualify for the stage 1 exam are eligible for appearing in the NTSE Chattisgarh stage 2 exam.
  • Candidates that are selected in stage 2 exam will be provided Rs. 1250/month in 11th as well as 12th. For candidates studying in graduation and post-graduation, Rs. 2000/month will be given based on UGC norms.

NTSE Chhattisgarh Exam Admit Card

NTSE stage 2 exam for class 10 is going to conducted on June 16, 2020. Candidates can download the admit through the official website of NTSE Chattisgarh.

NTSE Chhattisgarh Result and Answer Key

The result for the NTSE Chattisgarh stage 1 exam can download online. The results for stage 1 of the NTSE exam is going to be released by SCERT. Candidates that have appeared for the exam can check their result by visiting the official website. There are two lists that will be released by SCERT. In the first list, all the qualified candidates that are appearing for the exam will be given while the second list contains the overall result.

The official answer key for the NTSE Chattisgarh stage 1 exam will also be published by SCERT. Candidates can check the answer key for stage 1 by visiting the official website.

  1. Each right answer in MAT, as well as SAT stage 1 exam, carries 1 mark. Also, there are no negative marks in any of this section.
  2. SAT and MAT sections in the NTSE stage 1 exam have MCQs with 4 options. Candidates need to mark the correct answer to each question given on the OMR sheet.
  3. The LCT section given is just for the qualifying exam. The marks scored in this section will not be added in the final score of the candidate. Thus, it is not considered as a decisive factor in the last stage of the state-level merit list.
  4. The SAT section given evaluates candidates’ knowledge and most likely covers subjects like science, mathematics, and social science for class 10 and 12 levels.
  5. The MAT section evaluates candidates’ ability to think, reasoning skills, and spatial orientation, etc. Questions that are asked in the MAR section are based on series, analogies, coding-decoding, patterns, problem-solving, etc.

NTSE Chhattisgarh Exam Scholarship

Under the NTSE program, approximately 2000 students are selected for the scholarship. This scholarship is distributed every year by the national organizing body. Students that are selected through NTSE Chhattisgarh stage 1 are selected for stage 2 exam.
