Charpak Scholarship 2019-2020: Charpak Scholarship is an initiative of the Embassy of France. This scholarship offered to Indian students every year who wants to pursue their higher education in France. This scholarship provides three types of scholarships to Bachelor’s and Master’s students. The Charpak fellowship program will be provided to Ph.D. students. This scholarship provides the benefits of tuition, visa fee waiver, and living allowance to the students.

Charpak Scholarship for Indian Students

Charpak Scholarship for Indian Students is available to study in France. All eligible Indian students of Bachelor’s, Master’s and Ph.D. courses can avail of this scholarship. The French Embassy along with French companies provides these scholarships to Indian students. A scholarship amount of around 7.1 crore Indian rupees awarded to more than 500 meritorious young Indian students who want to pursue higher education in France.

Charpak Scholarship provides financial support to outstanding Indian students to study in France. This scholarship is named in honor of the French Physicist Georges Charpak. In 1992, he received the Nobel Prize in Physics. The Charpak scholarship was administered by the Embassy of France in India every year through Campus France.

Campus France is a government agency that runs under the French Ministry of External Affairs. It provides personalized counseling to students who are seeking higher education in France. It organizes many workshops throughout the year for students who wish to pursue an education in France. Charpak Research Internship

Charpak Research Internship program 2020 offered to all engineering, natural science, and economics students. But, these students must be seeking a graduate or postgraduate degree and planning to pursue training at a French laboratory. This program can only be taken at the time of their academic break that is from May to July.

Reward: The Charpak Summer Internship offers the Campus France fee waiver to students. It also provides a monthly stipend for a maximum period of 3 months by the Embassy of France. Whereas students taking an internship at host institutions/labs located in Paris receives 800 Euros. But, students taking an internship at host institutions/ labs located outside of Paris receives 650 Euros.

However, some institutions provide an allowance of 550 Euros to interns who are taking an internship for more than 8 weeks in France. That is why the students have to check the allowance details with the host institution.

Charpak Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

The following are the eligibility criteria to apply for the Charpak Research Internship.

  • A student must be a citizen of India.
  • Student’s age must not be more than 30 years while applying for the internship.
  • Students must be schooling at an Indian tertiary institution for a bachelor’s or master’s program.
  • Students should have an admission offer or acceptance letter from a French laboratory for their internship.
  • The student should have an offer of an internship program that is not less than 2 months and more than 3 months. This means the internship program duration must be from May to July.
  • A student who has engaged in the final semester project or completed lab research at a partner institute in France is not applicable.

Selection Process: The Charpak Research Internship is a merit scholarship program. The applications received from students will be selected based on their academic excellence. Students should possess a consistent academic record and a quality statement of purpose. First preference will be given to students having knowledge in French. Students should keep in mind that there is no CGPA or Percentage cut-off for the scholarship.

Charpak Exchange Programs

This is another type of Charpak Scholarship available for every Indian bachelor’s and master’s students. The Charpak Exchange Program is available for students of all streams. Students should have studied their first semester in an Indian institute at Bachelor’s or Master’s degree level. The duration of this exchange program is from January to May.

Reward: The selected students will be awarded a living allowance of 700 Euros under the Charpak Exchange Program. It will also provide a student visa fee waiver as well as student accommodation assistance.

  • A student must be a citizen of India.
  • Student age must not be more than 30 years while applying for the scholarship.

  • A student who has engaged in a final semester project or completed lab research at a partner institute in France is not applicable.

Charpak Master’s Program

The Charpak Master’s Program offers financial support only to master’s degree students. Students who have undertaken a study for the duration of one to two years can avail of this scholarship. The duration of this scholarship is from September to June per academic year. Students must be an Indian student from any stream who wish to study in France. Students have to apply for a student visa to study in France without this scholarship.

The Charpak Master’s Program offers 3 types of scholarships as given below:

Charpak Bourse de Couverture Sociale (BCS): This scholarship provides social security, student visa, Campus France waiver, and accommodation assistance.

Eligibility Criteria 

The following are the eligibility criteria to apply for the Charpak Master’s Program scholarship.

  • Students must be a citizen of India.
  • Students should be studying at an Indian Institute of higher learning. Otherwise, employed in a company for a maximum period of 3 years are eligible.
  • Student’s age must not be more than 30 years to apply for this scholarship.
  • A student must be studied from an Indian Institute for taking a course in France.
  • Students who have studied 1 or more semesters in other countries are not eligible during that period.
  • Non-scholarship holders pursuing M1 in France are not eligible.

Selection Process: The applications received from students will be selected based on their academic excellence. Students completing their M1 in France may re-apply for the 2nd year of funding for completing M2. At the M2 level, there is no automatic renewal of the scholarship. It will be considered subject to academic performance at M1 and the new statement of purpose. First preference will be given to students having knowledge in French.

Raman Charpak Fellowship Program

The Raman Charpak Fellowship Program offers financial support only to the Ph.D. students. This program aims to develop and strengthen the Indo-French scientific cooperation by the close collaboration between India and French laboratories. The duration of the fellowship is from 2 to 6 months.

This fellowship is a single-phase program for Ph.D. research scholars at an Indian or French Research Universities. This program also provides exposure and experience in the current trends and methods of research in France or India while discovering other cultural contexts.

Benefits of Charpak Scholarship

The Raman Charpak Fellowship offers the following benefits to the selected students.

  • It provides a scholarship amount of 1500 Euros per month for daily expenses, local travel, accommodation, and Social Security charges.
  • It provides insurance coverage including travel & health, wherever required.
  • It provides administrative costs for visa and registration Carte de Sejour
  • It provides extra 500 Euro for Indian Fellows for participating in a Seminar/Workshop during their fellowship tenure.

Eligibility Criteria 

The following are the eligibility criteria to apply for the Raman Charpak Fellowship Program.

  • For Indian students, residing in India and registered for a Ph.D. in a recognized university in India.
  • For France students, residing in France and registered for a Ph.D. in a recognized university in France.
  • Students must be a Master’s degree holder in science, technology or medicine from a recognized University.
  • Student’s age must not be more than 30 years.
  • Students may also be in the framework of CEFIPRA projects. But, they will not be eligible if they have a permanent position in universities.
  • A student should have a Pre authorize or prior consent from his/her University to apply for a foreign fellowship program.

  • They have to write a detailed description of the research project up to 5 pages in English.
  • It should be stating the title of the research work.

Maulana Azad Scholarship 2019-20: Maulana Azad Education Foundation offers ‘Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship’ to the meritorious girl students who belong to one of the six communities (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsis, and Jains). The last to submit the  Maulana Azad Scholarship 2019 online form is September 30, 2019. There are no fees charged for online application.

University Grant Commission (UGC) offers Maulana Azad National Fellowship (MANF) to the students of six minority communities. The last date to submit the Maulana Azad scholarship 2019-20 online application form is December of every year. Candidates can apply online through the official portal of UGC.

Maulana Azad National Scholarship 2019-20

Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship is offered by Maulana Azad Foundation, Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India. Girl students from class 9th to 12th are eligible to apply for this scholarship. The annual family income of the student must not be more than INR 2 lakhs. Candidate must have passed the qualifying examination minimum 50% marks from a recognized institute. Girl students studying in class 9th and 10th will get INR 5000 each per year and studying in class 11th and 12th will get INR 6000 each per year.

Maulana Azad National Fellowship (MANF) is offered by the University Grant Commission (UGC) for six minority communities (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsis, and Jains). Candidates are provided five-year fellowships in the form of financial assistance who are studying M.Phil and Ph.D. programs in India. The annual family income must not exceed INR 2.5 lakhs. Fellowship of INR 25000 per month is provided for two-years (JRF) and INR 28000 per month (SRF).

The maximum duration of M.Phil is two-years and for M.Phil+Ph.D., the duration is five-years.

Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship’s amount is divided into two parts: one for class 9th and 10th and another for class 11th and 12th. Class 9th and 10th class students are provided the amount of INR 5000 per year and students of class 11th and 12th are provided a scholarship of INR 6000 per year. Maulana Azad Scholarship 2019 last date is December of every year.

Maharashtra Government has introduced the scholarship schemes from various departments for students who have weak financial status at home and are willing to get higher studies. Each scholarship has its own eligibility demand. Therefore, we are here for you to provide the criteria required as per the departments to apply for any particular scholarship. Government of India Post-Matric Scholarship – Eligibility Criteria

  1. Annual family income should be less than or equal to Rs.2.5 Lakh.
  2. Only for Scheduled Caste (SC) or Navbouddha category.
  3. The student must be a domicile of DBT Maharashtra.
  4. The student must have passed SSC/equivalent matric.
  5. For students residing out of Maharashtra, the same rules are applicable.
  6. Only two professional courses at a time are allowed.

  4. Passed with SSC/equivalent matric.
  5. The student’s institute should be recognized by the Government of Maharashtra.
  6. The students should admit through CAP round only for Professional Courses.
  7. Tuition Fees, Exam Fees & other fees which have to be paid by the student to the institution are covered under the scheme.

Maintenance Allowance for Students Studying in Professional Courses – Eligibility

  1. The students should be admitted to professional courses.
  2. The students should be the scholarship holder of the Government of India.
  3. The family annual income should be less than or equal to Rs.2.5 Lakh.
  4. The students who are studying in the professional curriculum and residing in Hostel (Government or Institutes Hostel or outside).

Maintenance Allowance for Students Studying in Professional Courses – Benefits

The students residing in government hostels:

  • Course duration between 4 to 5 years: Rs.7000 per annum
  • Course duration between 2 to 3 years: Rs.5000
  • Course duration below 2 years: Rs.500

The students who are not admitted to government hostels should adhere to:

  • Course duration between 4 to 5 years: Rs.10000 per annum
  • Course duration between 2 to 3 years: Rs.7000 per annum
  • Course duration below 2 years: Rs.5000 per annum

Rajarshri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship – Eligibility

  1. Only to SC category.
  2. No income limit for the scholarship.
  3. Students must be studying in class 11th or 12th.
  4. Students should secure 75% and above in class 10th.
  5. The student should be a domicile of Maharashtra.

Rajarshri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship – Benefits

  • Under this scheme, the SC students who secured 75% in the SSC examination and takes admission in Class XI will get scholarship Rs.300 per month for 10 months for two years.
  • This Scholarship will be given in addition to the Government of India (GOI) scholarship and freeship

Post-Matric Scholarship for Persons with Disability – Eligibility

  1. The students who are disabled are eligible to apply. (40% or above)
  2. The students should be a domicile of Maharashtra.
  3. The students should be studying in a recognized university or institute.
  4. The scholarship will not be applicable if the candidate fails or quits the same course.
  5. The student studying in recognized institute or college out of Maharashtra and belong to the Maharashtra state are also eligible.
  6. The students pursuing post-graduation from the medical field but not allowed to practice out of institute are also eligible.
  7. The candidates who are taking distance education from a recognized institution where non-refundable fees have to be paid by the student are eligible to apply.
  8. The candidate residing in college/institute or any other recognized hostel & if he/she pays hostel fees then the candidate’s maintenance allowance will be given at hosteller rates.

Post-Matric Scholarship for Persons with Disability – Benefits

The maintenance allowance is provided as per Group A, Group B, Group C, Group D, Group E per month.

The professional and technical education candidates who must go for a practice tour will get Rs.500 at maximum. If the project is a mandatory part of the course then for printing and typing, an additional Rs.600 will be provided.

Tribal Development Department Scholarships

Post Matric Scholarship Scheme

  1. Only ST students are applicable to apply.
  2. The annual family income should not exceed Rs.2.5 Lakh.
  3. The students should at least have passed the class 10thexamination.

Maintenance Allowance

The maintenance allowance (hostellers/day scholars) per month

  • Group 1 – Rs.1200/ Rs.550
  • Group 2 – Rs.820/ Rs.530
  • Group 3 – Rs.570/ Rs.300
  • Group 4 – Rs.380/ Rs.230

Reader allowance

  • Group 1 and 2: Rs.240
  • Group 3: Rs.200

The students will receive an escort allowance of Rs.160 per month and a special Pay of Rs.160 per month. The mentally retired will receive extra coaching and be paid Rs.240 per month along with the following:

  • Study tours: Rs.1600 per annum, Thesis typing/printing: Rs.1600 per annum
  • Book grant: Rs.1200 per annum.

Tuition Fee and Exam Fee for Tribal Students

  1. The student’s annual family income should not exceed Rs.2.5 Lakh.
  2. The students should belong to ST category only.
  3. Tuition fees and exam fees as per approved college fee structure will be waived under this scheme.

Vocational Education Fee for Reimbursement

  1. The student’s annual family income should not exceed Rs.2.5 Lakh.
  2. The students should belong to ST category only.
  3. The students who are enrolled in vocational education courses like, Engineering, Pharmacy, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, Vaastu Shastra, MBA, and MCA will be eligible.
  4. Tuition fees and exam fees as per approved college fee structure will be waived under this scheme.

Vocational Education Maintenance Allowance

  1. The student’s annual family income should not exceed Rs.2.5 Lakh.
  2. The students should belong to ST category only.

The maintenance allowance is categorized by course duration (Hostellers/Day Scholars/) per annum.

  • The course duration of 4-5 years Rs.7,000 and Rs.10,000 respectively·
  • The course duration of 2-3 years Rs.5000 and Rs.7000 respectively.
  • The course duration of 2 years or less – Rs.5000

Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) Scholarships

Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Scheme

  • Domicile of Maharashtra
  • They should belong to Maharashtra State Border or Karnataka State Border to apply for the scholarship.
  • The family annual income should not exceed Rs.8 lakh.
  • The candidates belonging to the general category and have taken admission are eligible to apply.
  •  The Candidate should not avail any other scholarship or stipend.
  •  The courses which students have enrolled in should be approved by the government or AICTE.
  • The students should not have had 2-year of the gap during their course.
  • The students must have given all semester examinations.
  • 100% tuition fee waived for Government & Non-government aided courses for students up to Rs.2.5 Lakh family annual income.
  • For students with family annual income up to 8 Lakh will receive 50% Government and Non-government aided tuition fees.
  • 50% and 100% of the examination fee will be paid for professional and non-professional courses.

Assistance to Meritorious Students Scholarship Junior Level

  • The students from class 11th & 12th class are eligible to apply.
  • The students should have a DHE sanctioned letter.
  • The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra can apply for this scheme.
  • The AMS junior-level scholarship amount is up to Rs.3000.
  • The AMS senior-level scholarship amount is up to Rs.7000.

Education Concession to the Children of Ex-Servicemen

  • The Candidate’s son/daughter/wife/widow of ex-servicemen are eligible.
  • The students should be enrolled in government-aided colleges only.
  • The Maharashtrian Students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.
  • The college dress allowance and books allowance is paid up to Rs.445.

Eklavya Scholarship

  • Arts with at least 60% marks in Science with at least 70% marks.
  • The annual income of the Candidate’s parents should not exceed Rs.75000.
  • The Candidate must be a resident of Maharashtra state.
  • The beneficiary should not do a part-time or full-time job.
  • The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.
  • The students must have graduated in degree courses in Law, Commerce.
  • The scholarship worth Rs.5000 is for all the sanctioned students.

State Government Open Merit Scholarship

  • The Candidate must be a resident of the Maharashtra state.
  • The Candidate should have secured at least 60% marks in class 12th.
  • This scholarship is for students who have enrolled in Arts, Commerce, Science and Law courses.
  • The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.
  • Rs.100 per month will be paid directly to the student’s bank account.

Scholarship to Meritorious Students Possessing Mathematics/Physics

  • At least 60% in Science exam and more than 60% in Maths & Physics in Class 12th.
  • The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.
  • The Candidate must be a resident of the Maharashtra State.
  • Rs.100 per month will be paid directly to the student’s bank account

Government Vidyaniketan Scholarship

  • 60% marks in class 10th examination.
  • The student should have passed the class 10th exam from the State Government Vidyanikethan only.
  • The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.
  • The Candidate must be a resident of the Maharashtra State.
  • Rs.100 per month will be paid.

State Government Dakshina Ahichatra Scholarship

  • The Candidate must be a graduate student from non-agriculture University only.
  • The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.
  • The Candidate must be a resident of the Maharashtra State.
  • Rs.250 per month scholarship amount will get disbursed by the department.

Government Research Adichatra

  • The Candidate must be a postgraduate degree holder.
  • The Candidate must be a resident of the Maharashtra State.
  • The Candidate should have secured 60% marks in post-graduation.
  • The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.
  • Scholarship amount Rs.750 per month and Rs.1000 per year for other expenses.

Education Concession to the Children Freedom Fighter

  • The Candidates who are son/daughter/wife/widow of freedom fighters are eligible.
  • The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme
  • The students should be a domicile of Maharashtra.
  • The scholarship of Rs.50 per month for PG courses and Rs.60 per month for Engineering courses.
  • Books allowance: Rs.200 per annum for PG courses and Rs.400 per annum for Engineering courses.

Jawaharlal Nehru University Scholarship

  • The Maharashtrian students who have studied in JNU.
  • The UG and PG JNU students are applicable to the scheme.
  • They should be a domicile of Maharashtra
  • Scholarship amount Rs.8000 per month plus Rs.10,000 extra annually.

Assistance to Meritorious Students Scholarship – Senior Level

  • The students from class 11th & 12th are eligible to apply.
  • The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra can apply for this scheme.
  • The AMS junior-level scholarship amount is up to Rs.2300.
  • The AMS senior-level scholarship is up to Rs.72000.

Dr. Punjabrao Deshmukh Vasatigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna (DHE)

  • The Candidate should be a domicile of Maharashtra.
  • For professional courses, the Candidates who are children of registered labor or Alpabhudarak or both are eligible.
  • The annual income of the family/ guardian should not exceed Rs.8 lakh.
  • The Candidates should not avail of any other Nirvah Bhatta benefits.
  • The Candidate should attempt every semester or annual exam.

Benefits – Professional Courses

  • Rs.30000 for 10 months will be paid to students studying in MMRDA/PMRDA/Aurangabad/Nagpur city belong to marginal landholder families with an annual income up to 8 Lakh.
  • Students whose family annual income is up to Rs.1 Lakh will be paid Rs.10000 for 10 months.

Benefits – Non-professional Course

  • Scholarship worth Rs.2000 for 10 months for students whose family annual income is up to 1 Lakh.

Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Scholarships

  • The Candidate should be “Bonafide Student of Institute” and admitted for Professional and Technical courses.

  • The candidates should be admitted through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP).
  • The Candidates cannot avail any other scholarship while applying for this.
  • For the current academic year, only 2 children from a family are allowed to avail of the benefits of the scheme.
  • The total annual income of the family should not exceed Rs.8 lakh.
  • The minimum 50 % attendance in the previous semester is required.
  • During the course duration, the candidate should not have had a gap of two or more years.
  • 50 % of Tuition Fees and 50 % of Exam Fees.

Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Vastigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna (DTE)

Eligibility

  • Indian nationality.
  • Domicile of Maharashtra state.
  • The Candidate should be “Bonafide Student of Institute” and admitted for Professional and Technical courses.
  • The Candidates from the deemed university are not eligible.
  • The candidates should be admitted through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP).
  • The Candidates cannot avail any other scholarship while applying for this.
  • For the current academic year, only 2 children from a family are allowed for the benefit of the scheme.
  • The total annual income of the family should not exceed Rs.8 lakh.
  • The minimum 50 % attendance in the previous semester is required.
  • During the course duration, the candidate should not have had a gap of two or more years.

  • The award is for the child of Registered Labor/Alpabhudharak (Marginal Land Holder) is as follows:
  • Scholarship worth Rs.30,000 is awarded to students in the institutes in MMRDA / PMRDA / Aurangabad City / Nagpur City for a period of 10 months.
  • Scholarship worth Rs.20,000 for 10 months for students in other areas.
  • Students whose annual family income is up to 8 Lakhs will be given the following awards:

Post-Matric Scholarship for VJNT Students

Eligibility

  • The Candidate should belong to VJNT, OBC, and SBC category.
  • The Candidates must be pursuing the education course approved by the government.
  • The annual family income should not exceed Rs.1 lakh.
  • The Candidate should apply for the scholarship via the CAP system.
  • The Candidate should achieve 75% attendance for the current year.

Benefits

The scholarship eligibility is divided into Group A – E

  • Group A – scholarship worth Rs.425 per month for hostellers and Rs.190 per month for day scholars.
  • Group B – scholarship worth Rs.290 per month for hostellers and Rs.190 per month for day scholars.
  • Group C – The same scholarship amount as Group B.
  • Group D – scholarship worth Rs.320 per month for hostellers and Rs.120 per month for day scholars.
  • Group E – scholarship worth Rs.150 per month and for hostellers and Rs.90 per month for non-hostellers

Tuition fee, exam, maintenance allowance are paid 100% to students studying in govt/non-aided institutions in professional and non-professional courses.

Tuition Fees and Examination Fees to VJNT Students

  • Only for the VJNT category.
  • Domicile of Maharashtra state.
  • The annual family income should not exceed Rs.8 lakh.
  • The students enrolled in degree courses in Health Science etc. are eligible to apply.
  • The freeship will be applicable to students enrolled in unaided or aided government colleges in technical education.
  • The students who are enrolled in courses such as Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, and Fisheries are also eligible to apply.
  • 100% tuition fees and exam fees are reimbursed to Candidates via the CAP system.

Payment of Maintenance Allowance to VJNT and SBC Students Studying in Professional Courses and Living in Hostel Attached to Professional Colleges

  • Only for VJNT and SBC category.
  • The Candidate’s annual family income should not exceed Rs.1 lakh.
  • The Candidate should be admitted to the hostels in professional colleges.
  • The Candidate is not eligible if he or she takes admission in a government hostel.
  • The students who are enrolled in professional courses such as Engineering, Medical, Veterinary, Architecture, etc.
  • Maintenance allowance will be paid to students admitted in college hostel up to Rs.700 per month for 4-5 years course.

Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship for Students Studying in 11th & 12thStandard of VJNT & SBC Category

  • The Candidates should belong to Vimukta Jatis, Nomadic Tribes, and Special Backward Classes.
  • The Candidate must be studying in class 11th and 12th in junior colleges.
  • There is no family annual income limit.
  • The students should not have a study gap to avail of this scholarship.
  • Domicile of Maharashtra.
  • The Candidates will receive a scholarship up to Rs.300 per month for 10 months period.

Post Matric Scholarship to OBC Students

  • Only for the OBC category.
  • Candidates must be pursuing education courses approved by the government.
  • The application should come via CAP round for professional courses.
  • 75% attendance for the current year.

Benefits

The benefits are disbursed into following Group A-E categories  for maintenance allowance:

  • Only the SBC category.
  • The annual family income should not exceed Rs.8 lakh.
  • Candidates must be pursuing education courses approved by the government.
  • Domicile of Maharashtra State.
  • 100% tuition and exam fees for students.

School Education and Sports Department Scholarships

Open Merit Scholarships in Junior College

  • The Candidates should be of class 11th or 12th.
  • Minimum of 60% marks in SSC examination.
  • For students in class 11th and 12th: Rs.50 per month for ten months.

Merit Scholarship for Economically Backward Class Students

  • 50% marks in SSC examination.
  • The students should have cleared their exam in one attempt.
  • The male Candidates will receive a scholarship up to Rs.140 per month for 10 months.
  • The non-hosteller male Candidates will receive Rs.80 per month.
  • The hosteller and day scholar female Candidates will receive Rs.160 per month and Rs.100 per month respectively.

Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) Scholarships

Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Fee Reimbursement Scheme

  • For MBBS/BDS and other courses, candidates whose family annual income does not exceed Rs.8 lakh.
  • 50% fee reimbursement (tuition fee + development fee) will be provided.

Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Hostel Maintenance Allowance

  • The student’s family annual income should not exceed Rs.8 lakh.
  • The student’s parents should be registered labors.
  • The students who have taken admission in hostels in Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad, and Nagpur are eligible.
  • The students should have taken admission to degrees such as MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, etc in government-aided colleges.
  • Hostel maintenance allowance up to Rs.3000 per year for students pursuing courses in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur and Aurangabad and Rs.2000 for students in other locations.
  • Students whose parents are registered labor shall receive Rs.30000 per year for regions such as Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, and Aurangabad.

Minority Development Department Scholarships

State Minority Scholarship Part II (DHE)

  • Graduates and post-graduates from Arts/Commerce/Science/Law/Education courses are eligible to apply.
  • Domicile of Maharashtra.
  • The family annual income should be up to Rs.8 lakh.
  • 2000 Candidates will be provided quota (only fresher’s) under this scheme.
  • The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.
  • The scholarship worth Rs.5000 will be provided.

Scholarship for Students of Minority Communities Pursuing Higher and Professional Courses (DTE)

  • Indian nationality.
  • Domicile of Maharashtra state.
  • Passed SSC from Maharashtra state.
  • “Bonafide Student of Institute” and admitted to Professional and Technical courses (diploma/graduation/ post-graduation degree).
  • Admitted through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) / Institute Level.
  • The Candidate should not avail any other scholarship/stipend.
  • The total annual income of the family should not be more than Rs.8 lakh.
  • The scholarship amount up to Rs.25,000 per annum is given.

Scholarship for Students of Minority Communities Pursuing Higher and Professional Courses (DMER)

  • Students enrolled in medical courses such as MBBS, BDS, BAMS, etc and courses should be affiliated to the Maharashtra University of Health Science, Nashik.
  • The student’s family annual income should not exceed Rs.8 lakh.
  • 30% scholarship is reserved for female candidates and 70% for the male Candidates.
  • The Candidate should be a domicile of Maharashtra.
  • A total annual course fee of Rs.25,000 is waived off for the student.

MahaDBT Application Procedure

The candidates can apply for Maharashtra DTE scholarship via Aaple Sarkar DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) portal. This platform is uniquely run by the Government of Maharashtra for the students to help them get the benefits of various schemes available. Also, students should make a note that the Aadhaar number is necessary from the academic session MahaDBT Scholarship 2018-19 to apply for any scholarship via the portal.

MahaDBT Flow Application acceptance A.Y. 2019-20 has been extended till 15th January 2020 for DTE, DHE and DMER departments. The candidates are suggested to go through the instructions carefully and get the awareness of all the requirements before filling up the MahaDBT scholarship form Last Date. PM Scholarship 2019-20: PM Scholarship or Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme (PMSS) is a scholarship scheme that strives at promoting higher professional and technical studies for the dependent wards and widows of Central Armed Police Forces & Assam Rifles (CAPFs & AR) and State Police Personnel. Initiated in the year 2006-07, this scheme is run by the Welfare and Rehabilitation Board,  Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The Government of India (GOI) has recently introduced major changes in the scholarship by revising the scholarship reward amount for girls from Rs.2,250 to Rs.3,000 per month and for boys from Rs.2,000 to Rs.2,500 per month. Additionally, 500 new scholarships will also be given to the wards of State Police officials who were martyred in terror or Naxal attacks. PM Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

Check the eligibility criteria for the candidates who want to acquire the PM scholarship. If the candidate does not meet the criteria, they will not be able to fill the application form or get the scholarship reward. Only those who fulfill the conditions will be rewarded with the scholarship amount and benefits.

  • Candidate should be a dependent ward/widow of deceased CAPFs & AR/ Ex-CAPFs & AR/ retired and serving CAPFs & AR/ State Police Personnel.
  • Candidate should be pursuing professional courses. (Not applicable for lateral entry and integrated courses).
  • The minimum education qualification to apply for these courses should be class 12/ diploma/ graduation.
  • The candidates should have secured at least 60% marks or above in the minimum educational qualification. (For renewal in subsequent years, the Candidates need to obtain at least 50% marks in the qualifying examination).
  • As per the latest decision made by the Government of India, the scholarship scheme will also cover the wards of State Police officials who are/were martyred during Naxal/terror attacks. A total of Rs.500 scholarships in a year will be given to the wards of State Police officials.
  • Wards of Civilians including Para-Military Personnel are NOT ELIGIBLE.

PM Scholarship Rewards

  • The amount of which candidate will receive under the Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme and for how many years the scholarships will be disbursed are the necessary details a candidate should know.
  • A total of 5500 eligible candidates get benefit under this scheme every year. And these scholarships are equally distributed among boys and girls, i.e. 2750 each.
  • Besides, the amount of the scholarship offered to girls is Rs.3000 per month and to boys is Rs.2500 per month, every year.
  • Moreover, the duration of the scholarship may differ from one year to five years depending on your course span.

PM Scholarship Selection Criteria

The criteria that are considered while shortlisting candidates for PM scholarship and the authorities who are responsible for the final selection of students, those details are discussed. For the end-to-end implementation and disbursement of the scheme, the Ministry of Home Affairs is completely responsible. But the preference is given to students in the following order:

  • Category A: The first preference is given to the wards and widows of CAPFs & AR personnel who were killed in action.
  • Category B: The second preference is given to the wards of Ex-CAPFs & AR personnel who got disabled in action.
  • Category C: The third preference is given to the wards and widows of deceased CAPFs & AR personnel who died during their service for causes attributable to Government service.
  • Category D: The next preference is given to the wards of Ex-CAPFs & AR personnel who got disabled during their service with disability attributable to Government service.
  • Category E: Further, the preference is given to the wards of Ex-CAPFs & AR personnel who have received gallantry awards.
  • Category F: The next preference is given to the wards of Ex-CAPFs & AR personnel (PBOR only).
  • Category G: Lastly, the preference will be given to the wards of serving CAPFs & AR personnel (PBOR) subject to the availability of the scholarship.

Note: The dependents wards of State Police Personnel who died during Naxal/Terror attacks will also be given preference.

PM Scholarship Renewal

Let us know the renewal procedure for the candidates who want to renew their scholarship. While the selected students will get the reward of the first installment of the PM scholarship as soon as the merit list is declared, the subsequent payments are done only if the scholars apply for the renewal of scholarship at the end of each academic year. Just like the new application, the candidate can also apply for the renewal through online mode. Although to apply for the renewal application, it is necessary for a candidate to fulfill certain criteria that include:

  • Candidate should secure at least 50% marks in every semester or academic year.
  • Candidates have to pass all the subjects in each year/semester in one attempt.

Candidate can apply for renewal within one year of the declaration of merit list and the applications can be made throughout the year but not between January to April months.

PM Scholarship for Integrated Courses

  • Minimum Educational Qualification (MEQ) will be 10+2. However when applying students need to upload mark sheets of 10+2 in all cases, 1st year and 2nd year (all semesters) where 1st course is non-professional.
  • There are two types of Integrated Courses (dual degree) which are discussed below :
    • Integrated courses (dual degree) that have both the courses as Professional/Technical for example BE+ME, B.Tech+M.Tech, BBA+MBA, etc. In such cases, only the first professional degree will be granted a scholarship.
    • Integrated Courses (dual degree) which have a first degree as Academic (Non-Professional) and second degree as Professional/Technical for example BA + LLB, B.Com + LLB, B.Sc.+B.Ed. In such cases, students will be paid for the professional part of the course and not for non – professional/academic part.
  • A student pursuing Integrated courses wherein one degree is professional and another degree is non-professional, he/she will be awarded a scholarship for the professional portion of the dual degree course only and not for the academic portion of such course. The same is illustrated with the help of an example as under :
    • “In BA+LLB (dual degree course) first degree is BA which is non-professional and 2nd degree is LLB is which is professional. Therefore, scholarship for the professional portion (i.e. LLB) only will be provided.
  • When 1st degree is non-professional and 2nd degree is professional, in such cases, while seeking PM scholarship from third year onward student must have completed his previous two years of non-professional course without fail. Repetition/RA/Failure will make students ineligible to apply for a scholarship. A student should clear all the subjects of 1st & 2nd year in the first attempt and within the stipulated time frame from the date of admission, otherwise he/she will not be considered for award of scholarship and application will be rejected.

Important Instructions for Students

  • Students to respond in time according to SMS/email received from Kendriya Sainik Board.
  • E-mail and Mobile Number mentioned in the application must be of the student. Alternate Mobile Number can be of ESM. E-mail and mobile number once registered should not be changed since all messages being sent to the registered email/mobile number
  • During checking of new application if observation raised from ZSB/RSB and KSB is not rectified within the stipulated time frame of 10 days, then the application will be automatically rejected by the system. So ensure that the observation is rectified in time to avoid system rejection of the application.
  • During the period from January to May, processing, selection and preparation of merit list of a new application (1st-year students) are being done by KSB. Processing and payment of renewal applications are done as and when received by KSB throughout the year EXCEPT from January to May. Student/ESM to keep in mind the periodicity of checking of application (new and renewal) before raising any query relating to the checking/payment status of applications.
  • Student/ESM should log in to the KSB account to check the status of the application. It is to be noted while application status is showing pending to the student dashboard, but on the ground, the application is in the process at different levels/functionaries at KSB.
  • Student studying abroad as well as distance learning case is not eligible for PMSS

Answer 3:
Minimum Educational Qualification (MEQ) for entry into various professional courses differs e.g. for MBBS it is 10+2 whereas for BE/B Tech it is 10+2 / Diploma, for B.Ed and MBA it is graduation qualification. A candidate must have a minimum of 60% marks in MEQ to apply for PM Scholarship Scheme. All subjects will be taken for calculation of 60% marks including optional subjects also and not out of the best subjects.

How to acknowledge the receipt of the scholarship amount?

Answer:
On receipt of the scholarship amount from KSB, the student is required to update Column 14 of Renewal Application by logging into his/her KSB account using Log ID & Password by entering ‘Date of payment and amount received’ (two separate columns). This is a mandatory audit requirement to get the benefit of PMSS, otherwise, the scholarship will be canceled and the money already paid will be recovered. ‘Save’ button is provided at the bottom of Column 14. This action has to be completed immediately on receipt of the scholarship amount for each installment.

JK Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the JK Scholarship, students have to fulfill certain requirements which essentially depend on their domicile, academic qualification, and family income. Know about the eligibility criteria which are necessary to be accomplished for this scholarship here.

  • Students should be State Subject (domicile) of J&K State
  • Students should have Passed 10+2 Exam from JKBOSE or CBSE affiliated schools located in J&K
  • Students should have Passed 10+3 Diploma from J&K State Polytechnic for admission directly in the second year in the prescribed list of Colleges against on the vacant seats of the previous year
  • Overall Family income of the student should not exceed Rs. 8.00 Lakh per annum

JK Scholarship Application Procedure

Every year, AICTE welcomes online applications from eligible candidates on its official website. If candidates fulfill all the eligibility criteria for JK Scholarship Portal, they can apply for it, following the below steps:

  • Visit the AICTE JK Scholarship Login official website, www.aicte-jk-scholarship-gov.in.
  • Click on the registration button to apply for PMSSS.
  • Fill in all the necessary details.
  • Submit the JK Scholarship form.
  • On successful registration, candidates will receive an SMS/email on a registered mobile number/email for verification.
  • Click on the verification link to perform the registration process.
  • After the successful registration, candidates are required to log in via the AICTE JK Scholarship website.
  • Keep the scanned copies of all the supporting documents in jpg/png format with the file size not more than 2 MB.
  • Once logged in, read the brochure thoroughly, tick the declaration and click on the “Proceed Further” button.
  • Fill in all necessary details in the application form such as personal information, address, family income, educational details, etc.
  • Upload all supporting documents as particularized and preview the application form.
  • Provide the details of preferences and grievance centre details.

JK Scholarship Selection Process

JK Scholarship conducted by AICTE is completely a merit-based scholarship that examines the marks obtained by students in class 12th for the selection. Apart from this, there are various other conditions on the basis of which choices are made for different streams. These conditions include

  • Only those students will be elected who have secured admission to a degree course after qualifying an entrance examination conducted by either the central government or state government.
  • For admission in MBBS or BDS courses, the candidates have to qualify for the NEET (CBSE) examination.
  • For admission in the Architecture course, the candidates need to qualify for the NATA examination conducted by the Council of Architecture.
  • Caste and category reservations are also available where 8% of the total seats in each stream are held for SC candidates, 11% reservation is for ST candidates, 25% reservation is for SEBC candidates and remaining seats are for General category students.

General Instructions To Candidates of JK Scholarship

  • The applicant should confidently ensure uploading of joining reports on the portal of AICTE on or before the last date of joining, which will be verified by the Institute, after which DBT application will be opened by the eligible candidates.
  • An applicant who will not upload their joining report on the portal of AICTE Student Login on or before the last date of joining, their seats under the scheme will be canceled automatically and will be allotted to the students in the next/subsequent rounds of counseling (if any).
  • Applicants are required to report for admission at designated University / Institution on the date particularized as per the counseling schedule along with the original documents/testimonials/ certificates required at the time of admission.
  • Nodal Officer may lead the applicant during his/her stay in the college campus.
  • Applicants are advised to visit the AICTE website for all PMSSS updates.
  • No fresh registrations shall be provided in next/subsequent rounds of counseling
  • Applicants must bring the original and one set of self-attested photocopies of the certificates at the time of reporting for final admission in allotted University / Institute.
  • The applicants are suggested to refer the fee structure and other details of the Institute before choosing the seat.

Yes, without document verification at Facilitation Centre, the student is not eligible for Scholarship.

Who is eligible for Medical courses in JK Scholarship?

For Medical Stream with Biology the candidate who seeks admission in any of the courses in Medical Stream (MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, etc.) on his/her own merit within the sanctioned intake in any of the institutions recognized by the respective Regulatory Bodies based on the merit at class 10+2 & after qualifying NEET examination. They also need to register during online registration.

DCE Scholarship 2019-20: DCE scholarship which is also known as Kerala scholarship (Directorate of Collegiate Education Scholarship) is being run by the Kerala government and its various departments. Every year the Kerala government calls for applications for scholarships to ensure that the finances are not a hindrance in student’s path in the pursuit of their academic career. The Directorate of Collegiate Education (DCE) scholarship is applicable for all the students coming from different strata of life. The main objective behind these scholarships is to provide financial help to the deserving and meritorious students of Kerala state.

Students from college, as well as a school, can all apply for this scholarship. A total of 16 scholarships are available by the Kerala government under the central as well as state government. The eligibility criteria are not common for all the DCE scholarships. To be eligible for Kerala scholarship, one needs to be either a permanent resident or domicile of Kerala state. MOMA Scholarship 2019-2020: MOMA scholarships are minority scholarships that are initiated by the Ministry of Minority Affairs. Under the MOMA scholarship scheme, students belonging to the minority communities of Christian, Buddhist, Jain, Muslim, Sikh, and Zoroastrian (Parsi) can avail Pre-matric scholarships, Post-matric scholarships and Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses. The winners of these national minority scholarships receive a scholarship amount of up to Rs. 20,000 per annum.

The Government of India is planning to disburse 5 Lakh scholarships under the post-matric scholarship scheme, 30 lakh scholarships under the pre-matric scholarship scheme, and 60,000 scholarships under merit-cum-means scholarship for professional as well as technical courses at the graduate or postgraduate level.

MOMA Scholarship 2020

Under MOMA Scholarship there are 3 types of scholarship that are described as under. Scholarships under the MOMA Scholarship are as follows:

Pre-Matric Scholarship for Minorities

Initiated at the pre-matric level to support the study by minority students, the scholarship awards class 1 to 10 students up to Rs. 600 monthly. In order to be eligible for this pre-matric minority scholarship 2020, the family earnings of candidates must not exceed Rs. 1 Lakh and should not be less than 50% in the prior final examination.

Post-Matric Scholarship for Minorities

Under the system of Post-Matric Scholarship, minority learners may apply for Ph.D. in class 11. The family revenue of the candidates must not exceed Rs. 2 Lakhs and their marks or equivalent grades should not be less than 50% in the prior final examination. This national minority scholarship’s chosen learners receive a scholarship quantity of up to Rs. 10,000 per year along with a maintenance quantity of up to Rs. 1200 per month.

Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for Technical Courses CS and Professional 

Under the MOMA system, the Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship is intended for learners wishing to pursue professional or technical classes at the graduate or graduate level. The chosen learners receive a scholarship quantity of up to Rs. 20,000 per year. The household earnings of the candidates must not exceed Rs. 2.5 Lakhs under this national minority scholarship. In addition, in order to qualify for this minority scholarship, candidates must have scored at least 50 percent marks in their previous final examination.

MOMA Scholarship Schemes for Minorities

In the form of admission, course/tuition fees, and maintenance allowance, the learners chose for these minority scholarships receive economic support for the entire course.   • For UG and PG level – Admission & tuition fee must be an amount of INR 3,000 (for both hostellers and day scholars) per year subject to actuals.
  • For Class 11 and 12 including both vocational and technical courses – The maintenance allowance must be an amount of  INR 380 per month INR 230 per month (for day scholars). INR 230 per month (For day scholars).
  • For UG & PG level (For technical courses and other Professional courses) – The maintenance allowance must be an amount of INR 570 per month INR 300 per month (for hostellers). INR 300 per month (For day scholars).

MOMA Scholarships Eligibility Criteria

To apply for national minority scholarships, learners belonging to minority groups must study transparently in India in a state or private institution chosen and notified by the State / Union Territory Administration involved. The details of the requirements for eligibility are outlined below.

Pre-Matric Scholarship for Minorities

  • Educational Qualification: Students are required to study in class 1 to 10. Students must have scored in the previous final exam have marks of at least 50 percent.
  • Family Income: The annual family income must not exceed INR 1 Lakh.

Post-Matric Scholarship for Minorities

  • Educational Qualification: Class 11 and 12 students are eligible under this system. Students who have been admitted to technical and vocational training courses at NCVT-affiliated ITI / Industrial Training Centers (classes 11 and 12) may also apply.
  • Family Income: The annual family income must not be more than INR 2 Lakhs.

Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for Technical Courses CS and Professional

  • Educational Qualification: Students who have been admitted at the graduate or postgraduate level to technical/professional classes are qualified to apply. In the previous final examination, students must have obtained not less than 50 percent marks.
  • Family Income: The annual family income must not be more than INR 2.5 Lakhs from all sources.

MOMA Scholarship Application Procedure

You can apply online through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) if you are eligible for any of these minority scholarships. Follow the measures below to fill out the application form for a minority scholarship.

  • First, by giving the right data, the fresh candidates must register as a new customer on the NSP Portal.
  • It is recommended to maintain all the required records with the candidates while applying for their required system of scholarship.
  • In filling out the registration form, candidates are needed to provide data about their academic skills, Aadhaar number, school/college enrolment number, bank details, and the state of home.
  • The application ID of the candidates is produced based on their state of residence. This application ID is also used on the NSP Portal as the’ Login ID’ and future references.
  • The applicants must also pick the appropriate category of scholarship under which they apply. For example, when filling out the form, an applicant studying in class 1 to 10 must select the pre-matric scheme.
  • Details such as the name of the applicant, date of birth, email ID, details of identification and mobile number must be thoroughly filled out.
  • After the registration form has been completed, an OTP is produced using which the applicant must log in and fill out the application form for the scholarship. Applicants must upload the document they need.

MOMA Scholarship – Instructions About Bank Details

  • The candidates must pick closely from the drop-down list the name of their bank/branch.
  • It is recommended that students first get their bank account number and IFS code checked by their bank branch involved and then provide the right account number when applying for MOMA scholarships.
  • The scholarship will be canceled in case of the wrong account amount.
  • Students are required to verify their’ Know Your Customer’ (KYC) status. If necessary, they must get it done in their account for the effective disbursement of the sum of the scholarship.

MOMA Scholarship Terms and Conditions

The candidates must adhere to a few terms and conditions when applying for these minority scholarships. Some of them’s details are outlined below.

  • Thirty percent of the scholarships are reserved for girls from each minority group in a State / UT. In case of a shortage of female candidates, the scholarships may be transferred to the male candidates of the same community.
  • The scholarship intended for minorities would receive no more than two learners from a family.
  • Students must attend the class on a regular basis.
  • In the event of any breach by the student of the discipline of the institute/school or of any circumstances of the scholarship, the scholarship may be canceled or suspended.
  • To acquire a scholarship, the applicants must not provide any incorrect data as it would lead to the cancelation of the scholarship. If the scholarship amount has been paid to the applicant, it will be recovered by the State / UT government concerned.
  • Through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), applicants obtain their scholarship quantity straight into their bank account.
  • Candidates can not take advantage of any other system of scholarships if they obtain advantages from the system of MOMA scholarships.

WB Scholarship Eligibility

Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship for Minorities: This West Bengal merit cum means scholarship is for students studying from Class 11th onwards. The students are selected on the basis of academic merit and financial need. Candidates must have scored at least 75% marks in case studying in Diploma, Higher Secondary or graduation level. In the case of Post-graduation, a candidate must have scored at least 53% (general) or 55% (engineering) marks. The annual family income must not exceed INR 2.5 lakhs per annum.

West Bengal Post-Matric Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC: Students studying in the post – matriculation or post-secondary level can apply to this scholarship. Students who are studying in class 11th, 12th or in graduation/ post-graduation are eligible to get financial assistance. Candidate’s annual family income must be between INR 2 to 2.5 lakhs per annum. For OBC students, the family income must not exceed INR 1 lakh per annum.

Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti Scholarship: Girl students who are studying in class 12th or are in a graduate program in Medicine/Engineering/Basic Science at any college in the state are eligible to apply.

West Bengal Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC ST Students: This is a centrally sponsored scholarship scheme for students studying in class 9th and 10th. The annual family income must not exceed INR 2.5 lakhs per annum. Candidate must have a compulsory domicile of the state.

Hindi Scholarship Scheme: Students who have passed Madhyamik, Higher Secondary, undergraduate, postgraduate or research level programs are eligible to apply under this WB scholarship scheme. This scholarship is to promote the Hindi language in Non-Hindi state. Candidate must have passed the previous qualifying examination with at least 60% marks with Hindi as a subject.

NIOS Class 12 Admit Card 2019: The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) will release the notification for downloading the class 12 admit card. NIOS class 12 admit card will be released online for the exam to be held on September-October 2019 under the open board. After downloading the admit card, it should be attested with the signature of the nearest Study Centers Principal. Learners can download the class 12 admit card from the official website nios.ac.in. How much reimbursement, a student can get?

Answer:
The reimbursement of tuition will be dependent on the course you pursue.  While most of the courses are eligible for 100% of the tuition fee as fixed by the government. Self-financed courses are eligible only for a maximum of Rs. 20,000 or the actual fee charged by the college, whichever is less.

Question 2.
Can I obtain a scholarship for the previous year?

Answer:
No, the scholarship can be claimed only for the current year. Scholarships for the previous year can not be claimed under any circumstance.

Question 3.
How do I know my verification officer?

Answer:
The District Collector appoints verification officers for one or more colleges depending on the number of students in the college. The verification process is a two-step verification process:

  • Verification by the College Principle: All applications to be verified individually by the college and signed by the principal of the college.
  • Verification by the verification officer: The verification officer will have to verify all the student in the college an appointed date and time.

Question 4.
What is the meaning of verification in the scholarship process?

Answer:
The process of verification is essentially meant to check whether the particulars given in the scholarship form are correct as per the documents enclosed.  The verification is done in two steps namely college verification and Independent verification.

  • College Verification:  In this verification, the college has been mandated to verify the documents furnished by each student with the entry made in the application form.  Once the verification is completed and all entries are found correct, he would finally sign the same and send it to the department for verification by the verification officer appointed by the District Collector
  • Verification by the Verification Officer:  the verification officer appointed by the District Collector will conduct physical and documentary verification and submit his report either accepting or rejecting the scholarship application.
  • Scrutiny by the Welfare Officer: before each and every application is taken up for sanction it is the responsibility of the welfare officer to satisfy himself of the verification by the college principal and the verification officer and finally sanction the scholarship.

INSPIRE Scholarship 2019-20: “Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE)” is an innovative course sponsored and administered by the Department of Science & Technology (DST) DST Inspire scholarship for the pull of talent to Science. The basic goal of INSPIRE is to deliver to the youth of the country the activities of creative pursuit of science, pull talent to the art of science at an early age and thus create the required significant human resource pool for sustaining and expanding the Science & Technology system and R & D base.

A prominent feature of the program is that it does not consider in conducting competitive exams to identify talent at any level. It concludes in and relies on the ability of the existing educational edifice to identify the talent.

The government of India has passed the INSPIRE Scheme in November 2008 at a total expense of about Rs 1979.25 crores in the 11th Plan Period and Honourable Prime Minister originated the program on 13th December 2008. The plan is continuing in the 12th Plan period at a budgetary allocation of Rs. 2200 crores.

INSPIRE Scholarship – Rules To Be Followed

  • INSPIRE-SHE is granted to students for a period of five years, starting from the 1st year B.Sc., BS, Integrated M.Sc/MS or until the end of the course, whichever occurs earlier.
  • Applicants must provide completed application form else the form will be rejected.
  • Subjects such as Engineering, Medicine, Defence Studies, Agriculture, Military Science, Psychology, Home Science, Geography, Seed Technology, Anthropology, Economics, Education (including B.Sc.-B.Ed. dual degree course), Computer Applications, Bio-informatics, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Instrumentation, Information Technology, Physical Education, courses in Distance Education mode at the Open Universities and other professional courses are not carried under SHE scholarship.
  • The INSPIRE student has to open a regular Savings Bank Account in any branch of the State Bank of India (SBI) only. The account must be in the name of the candidate and it should not be a joint account.
  • The shortlisted candidates have to submit their year-wise performance report (signed by the Head of the Institution) and mark sheet of their BSc, BS, Int. MSc/MS course for the release of the scholarship. Head of the Institution refers to Vice-Chancellor/Registrar/Dean of Science in the case of Universities and Principal/Vice-Principal/Proctor/Officer-in-Charge in case of colleges.
  • The Head of the Institution should clearly state in the performance report if the scholarship should be extended or not in that academic year.
  • For the first time, the scholarship is published only after the approval of the performance report and mark sheet of 1st year B.Sc, BS, Int. M.Sc/MS. If the academic performance of the candidate is satisfying, two years of scholarship, i.e., Rs.1,20,000 is issued during the candidate’s 2nd year of B.Sc, BS, Int. M.Sc/MS.
  • Applicants availing any other scholarship from other sources are not eligible to win this scholarship.

The scheme offers 10,000 Scholarship every year at Rs 0.80 lakh per year for the skilled youth in the age group 17-22 years, for offering Bachelor and Masters level education in natural sciences. The main characteristic of the scheme is the mentorship assistance provided to every scholar.

Assured Opportunity for Research Careers (AORC) 

It endeavors to attract, attach, retain and nourish young scientific Human Resources for increasing the R&D foundation and base. It has two sub-components. In the first part i.e. INSPIRE Fellowship 2019 (age group of 22-27 years), it awards 1000 fellowships every year, for carrying out a doctoral degree in both basic and applied sciences including engineering and medicine. In the second component i.e. INSPIRE Faculty Scheme, it offers guaranteed opportunity every year for 1000 post-doctoral researchers in the age group of 27-32 years, through contractual and tenure track positions for 5 years in both basic and applied sciences area.

NTSE Application Form 2020 | How to Apply, Documents Required

NTSE Application Form 2020: The education board, NCERT, has released the notification for this year’s NTSE 2020 Exam. All states along with the union territories will release their NTSE application form 2020 in the 1st week of August. This year, the NTSE stage 1 exam is expected to be conducted on 2nd November for Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Andaman and the Nicobar Islands. While the exam for other states and UTs is going to be conducted on November 3. For Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, and Delhi NCR the exam is going to be conducted on 17th November. The current application form is available only for registration of stage 1 NTSE exam. The candidates that qualified for the NTSE stage 1 exam will also qualify for the NTSE stage 2 exam. Many states are going to release the application form online on SCERT official website while other states will release the forms offline.

NTSE Admit Card will be issued to all eligible candidates who apply for NTSE Exam within a specified timeline. Candidates that are studying in class 10 can download the NTSE application form 2020 online. Also, they can obtain the form from the state liaison officer. Candidates need to submit the completely filled NTSE application form as well as the application fee before the final date. The final date of application form submission will vary from state to state.

Vidyasaarathi Scholarship 2019-2020: ACC has declared the vidyasaarathi scholarship for students for the year 2019-20. This scholarship is only available for students that are residing near the ACC plant across the PAN India. ACC vidyasaarathi scholarship is available for the candidates that are pursuing ITI, undergraduate courses, BE/BTECH, or Diploma courses. This scholarship program is designed for students that are pursuing any graduation courses like bachelor’s in commerce, science, arts, or any subsequent branches. This scholarship program is only available for students that are residing near the ACC plant across India. It is not available for the ACC employees or their children.

Vidyasaarathi is an initiative by the NSDL e-governance infrastructure limited in order to reduce the gap in education finance in the country through online means. Students can search through this portal for various education finance schemes that they are qualified for. Industries, fund providers, corporates can promote skill development by organizing education schemes ib vidyasaarathi and these managed schemes. This solution would manage the online education finance lifecycle that is reviewing and submission of an application, disbursement of funds, scholarship awards, and renewal of education finance.

NTSE 2020: National Talent Search Examination is conducted by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) for recognizing talented students who desire to pursue higher studies in Science and Social Studies branches. The exam is administered at two levels, first is state-level talent search examination and next is the National Level Talent Search Exam. The State Level Exam is conducted by 29 States/07 UT’s (Union Territories) for all students of Class 10th. Students who have qualified in State Level Talent Search Examination are eligible to give the NTSE stage II examination which will be conducted by NCERT. The purpose of the NTSE scheme is to award skilled students seeking education in Science and Social Studies stream with scholarships to help them continue their studies.

The program was commenced in 1963 as National Science Talent Search Scheme (NSTSS) as an action to help capable students with scholarships. The scholars who applied for NTSE scholarships were chosen based on qualifications in the written test, project report, and interview. The written test consists of Science Aptitude Test (SAT) and an essay based on a scientific description only. The project record is also required to be submitted at the time of the written test. The scholarships will be awarded to only those students who want to pursue higher studies in Basic Sciences from Class 11th to Doctorate level.

Scholarship for 10th Passed Students

NTSE Eligibility

The National Talent Search Examination is open for scholars of Indian nationality whether they study in India or abroad at the Class Xth level.

In 2015, The minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST/PH candidates is 35%. In 2017 4% reservation to Physical Challenged Category was implemented for group of students, with benchmark disabilities of which, one percent each shall be reserved for persons with benchmark disabilities under clauses (a), (b) and (c) and one percent for persons with benchmark disabilities under clauses (d) and (e) namely

  1. Blindness and Low Vision
  2. Deaf and Hard of Hearing
  3. Locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy
  4. Autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability, and mental illness
  5. Multiple disabilities from amongst persons under clauses (a) to (d) including deafblindness in the posts identified for each disability.

NTSE Eligibility for Indian Candidates

Only the applicants selected by the States/UTs on the base of their screening exam will be eligible to appear in the National level examination which will be conducted by the NCERT firm on the Second Sunday of May each year The NCERT will dispatch the roll number, the venue, the date and time for the national level examination to all the applicants directly through its website, www.ncert@nic.in.

NTSE Eligibility for Abroad Candidates

Students of Indian nationality who are studying abroad at the Class 10th level may also participate for Talent Search Award under the following conditions

  • The Indian students studying abroad in Class X or equivalent class will be spared from the first level-screening test and will be allowed to appear directly at the second level examination conducted by the NCERT.
  • A candidate will be eligible to appear in the second level NTSE examination only if he or she has obtained at least 60 percent marks (in aggregate) at the previous annual examination.
  • A candidate will have to appear in the NTSE examination at a center in India at her/his own cost.
  • An applicant desiring to appear in the NTS examination may request through the Head of the Institution where he or she is studying along with an attested copy (by the Head of the Institution) of the mark sheet of Class IX. The request should reach the Head, Department of Educational Survey Division, NCERT, New Delhi-110016 latest by 31st December of the concerned year.
  • The Council shall allot roll numbers to the eligible candidates and inform them about the date, time and venue of examination along with other relevant instructions.
  • No request for change of Centre shall be entertained.
  • If a candidate is selected, the scholarship shall be paid for pursuing studies in India only.
  • Change of center will be permitted in genuine cases and as per instructions issued from NCERT.

NTSE Eligibility for Scholarships

  • The applicant should pursue the recommended courses in Science, Social Sciences, Engineering and Medical streams only. The candidate should be ready to pursue higher education in India only.
  • The applicants should be certified as managing good conduct at their school and should continue their higher education.
  • They should not be absent from school without proper leave or informing the school officials.
  • The applicants should be a full-time student and should not be working anywhere or getting salary/stipend.
  • If the candidate is getting scholarship under any other scheme as well then, he/she should decide which scholarship scheme he/she wants to continue with.
  • If any candidate is getting any other scholarship then, his/her NTS Scholarship will be stopped for that year and can be continued only after he/she requests NCERT for resuming the scholarship; they have to discontinue benefits from other scholarship schemes.
  • The candidates getting fee waivers/ one-time grant/fee subsidy and accommodation are eligible for NTSE Scholarship
  • If any candidate drops studies or discontinues his/her education within one year of admission, then no scholarship will be awarded to him/her.
  • The candidates should pass in all subjects of their course in first attempt only and if they fail in any of the core subject his/her scholarship will be canceled.

NTSE Syllabus

There is no designated syllabus for the NTSE examination. However, the type of items will be according to the level of Classes IX and X. A separate booklet called ‘Learn about the Test’ holding sample items for both the Tests – MAT and SAT is available in print as well as on the NCERT website www.ncert.nic.in.

NTSE SAT Syllabus

As mentioned above, the SAT has two parts

  • Language Test and Science,
  • Social science & Maths.

The SAT, basically, tests students for their academic knowledge, reading skills, application skills, etc

NTSE Exam Pattern/Scheme

The written examination shall consist of two papers; Paper-I Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Paper-II Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). Both tests will be administered on the same day.

  • Mental Ability Test: There shall be 100 multiple-choice type items, with four alternatives. Each item will carry one mark. Candidates are required to answer the items on a separate OMR sheet as per instructions are given in the test booklet and on the OMR sheet.
  • Scholastic Aptitude Test: The Scholastic Aptitude Test will consist of 100 multiple-choice items of one mark each. Each item shall have four alternatives, out of which only one will be the correct answer. There shall be 40 items from Science, 40 from Social Science and 20 from Mathematics, Candidates are required to answer the items on a separate OMR sheet to be provided at the examination center as per instructions.
  • Medium of Exam: The tests will be available in the following languages: Asamiya, Bangla, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. The candidate has to mention his option regarding the language in which he/she want to take the test in the application form. Accordingly, the question booklet in that language shall be made available to the candidate at the center. After exercising this option, no request for the change of medium will be entertained.

Note:

  1. Only candidates qualifying in both the papers separately will be considered for merit
  2. Selection of the awardees will be made on the basis of total marks scored in MAT & SAT based on merit
  3. There will be No Negative marking

NTSE Application Form

  • The application form of NTSE 2018 will be available in online mode or offline mode. Each state or UT provides their own application form for stage 1 examination of NTSE 2019.
  • Applicants need to fill and submit the application form of NTSE stage 1 before the last date of application as mentioned by their respective state or UT.
  • Applicants need to contact the Liaison Officer of the state for questions related to application form submission.
  • Applicants need to send the application fee for the NTSE stage 1 exam as specified by the states.
  • However, applicants need not submit an application form to NCERT and also no fee required for NTSE stage 2 to be conducted by NCERT.

How To Fill NTSE 2020 Application Form?

  • Candidates are required to download the NTSE registration form from the official website of NCERT or they can collect it from the liaison officer of the state.
  • Applicants are required to fill up the application form in their own writing as per the directions and paste their recent passport size photograph along with signature at the space provided.
  • Applicants will be required to enter the following details in the NTSE application form:
    • Name of the candidate
    • Mother’s name
    • Father’s name
    • Caste or category
    • Address etc.
    • Candidates will be required to pay the NTSE application fee (if specified by the state/UT).
  • Documents Required with Application Form
    • Caste certificate
    • Recent passport size colored photograph

The NTSE application form has to be submitted in an offline/online mode as specified. Since last year, some states have begun to receive the completed NTSE application form in the online mode too. Applicants must assure that the application form of NTSE is filled and attached with the required documents as per the instructions are given.

NTSE Admit Card

The NCERT will upload the E-Admit Cards for the second level examination on its website, www.ncert.nic.in. In case there is any modification of address prior to the National Level Examination, it will be required on the part of the candidate to say the same to the state examining authority, who will inform the NCERT department for change of address after the applicant has downloaded the admit card/letter for second-level examination. The same may be said to the NCERT directly.

The admit card will have all the details about the venue, the roll number, the date and time of the test. Applicants can download their E-Admit cards themselves before 21 days of examination.

The admission letter assigned to the candidate should contain E-Admit Card to be filled in by the applicant. They have to paste an attested passport size photograph at the relevant place in the E-Admit Card. This shall have to be submitted to the Centre Superintendent on the day of the National Level Examination.

NTSE Results

  • NTSE Results will be available online only.
  • The scoring of the OMR-sheets for both the MAT and the SAT will be done through the computer system.
  • The final prize will be published on the basis of combined scores of MAT and SAT exams.
  • Only the selected candidates will be notified by registered letter and through the NCERT website www.ncert.nic.in.
  • Marks secured by the applicants in written examination will be revealed to all the contestants individually through the NCERT website.

Since the NCERT applies accurate checks and counterchecks before the announcement of the result, no application for re-evaluation or rechecking of scripts will be considered. Applicants will be given the facility to have access to their scanned OMR sheets which will be placed on the NCERT website along with the final scoring key so that they can calculate their own score.

NTSE Reservation

  • 15% scholarships will be reserved for students belonging to the SC category,
  • 7.5% scholarships for students belonging to the ST category and
  • 27% scholarships for students belonging to the OBC category.
  • 4% for Physically Challenged Group of Students.
  • 10% of scholarships for students belonging to the Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs) category.

The scholarship under the present scheme awarded to the candidates for pursuing courses in science and social science up to doctoral level and in professional courses like medicine and engineering up to second-degree level subject to the fulfillment of the conditions. As on date, 2000 scholarships are awarded in the country with reservation of 15 percent for SC, 7.5 percent for ST and 27 percent for other backward classes and 4 percent for a group of students with benchmark disabilities.

NVS Admit Card 2020: Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti has released the notification of NVS Recruitment, to fill the vacancies of 2370 Assistant Commissioner, PGTs, TGTs, and various other posts. The application form can be filled by candidates from July 10th to 9th August 2019 and the exam will be conducted from 16th to 20th September 2019. TANCET Counselling 2019-2020: TANCET stands for Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test. It is conducted by Anna University for admission to M.E. M.Tech, MBA, MCA, M.Arch and M.Plan courses. The score of TANCET is accepted by more than 400 government and non-government colleges of Tamil Nadu.

To be eligible for TANCET 2020 Counselling, you need to clear the entrance test (GATE qualifiers are exempted from the entrance examination and can directly appear for the counselling). You will be called for counselling based on your rank in the merit list. Read on to find out more.

How To Register for TANCET Counselling 2020?

There are two modes of application

  1. Online Mode
  2. Offline Mode

Offline Mode

  1. You can get the application form for counselling from the issue center.
  2. You need to fill in the relevant details such as name, registration number, etc. Take care to avoid any errors/discrepancies as it would cause a problem later. Check the details once or twice before submitting the form.
  3. After filling the form, enclose the relevant documents and send it to the following address:

Online Mode

  1. Visit the official Anna University website (link is given above).
  2. Register using relevant details such as name and registration number.

DD (Demand Draft)

Candidates need to pay a counseling fee. You can enclose it as a demand draft of ₹300 (unreserved categories) and ₹150 (SC/SCA/ST candidates of Tamil Nadu) drawn in favor of ‘The Secretary, TN MBA/MCA Admissions 2020, GCT’ payable at Coimbatore.

TANCET Counselling Procedure 2020

  • You will have to report on time to the counselling venue allotted to you. Note that your admission may be forfeited if you fail to turn up on time.
  • You will be allowed to fill in your preferred order of colleges and courses.
  • You will be allotted a seat based on your rank in the merit list and number of vacancies available.
  • To secure the seat, you need to pay the admission fee
    • ₹5300 for open candidates
    • ₹1150 for SC/ST/SCA
    • candidates of Tamil Nadu which includes the non-refundable amount of ₹300(₹150 for SC/ST/SCA) towards counselling fee.

TANCET Counselling General Instructions

  • If you are not satisfied with the seat allotted to you, you can attend the subsequent rounds of counselling.
  • Candidates absent in the first or second phase of counselling will not be allowed to attend the subsequent stages of TANCET counselling 2020.
  • Colleges allotted in the last round of counselling will be considered as final.
  • Make sure that you reach the counselling venue an hour in advance.
  • Change of date/time of counselling is not permissible. Authorities are not responsible for the postal delay or non-receipt of counseling intimation.
  • Once a seat is allotted, the amount of 5,000/- for general or 1,000/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates already paid at the time of counselling will be adjusted towards the tuition fee to be paid to the respective allotted college.
  • You are advised to post the completed application with all the enclosures well in advance so as to reach Anna University, Chennai-25 on or before the specified date and time. The application may be sent by Registered post or Speed post to avoid any delay.
  • You have to pay the remaining fees in the college concerned at the time of admission on the date specified in the allotment order. No further correspondence will be entertained pertaining to Admissions.

The counselling procedure for TANCET 2020 is simple and straight-forward. You can register by filling the application form (downloaded from the official website or obtained from the issue center) and sending it to the secretary of Anna University, enclosing all the necessary documents. Note that a counseling fee is to be paid depending on your category.

You will be called for counselling based on your rank in the merit list. You will receive an online counselling call letter that you need to download and take a print out of. You need to report to the venue mentioned in it on time. Then, you will be allowed to fill in your preference order of colleges and courses.
