Angles are all around us! Here are some simple real-life examples: Opening a door, clock hands, road turns, scissors, yoga or exercise, and architecture. Angles are everywhere in movement, design, tools, and even our body. A protractor is a tool used to measure angles accurately.
→ A full turn at a point is the same as one complete circle.
→ A half turn, which is a rotation halfway around a circle, makes a straight angle.
→ A quarter turn, which is a location one-fourth around a circle and it forms a right angle.
→ An eighth turn is a small turn, just one-eighth of a circle, and it makes an acute angle.
→ An angle less than a right angle is called an acute angle.
→ An angle greater than a right angle is called an obtuse angle.
→ The direction in which the hands of the clock move is called clockwise movement. The opposite movement is called anti-clock wise movement.
