Solution:
Price of the teddy bear = DCCX
Discount given by the shopkeeper = CXV
Therefore, the final cost of the teddy bear = DCCX – CXV
= 710 – 115
= 595
= DXCV
Thus, the cost of the teddy bear after discount is DXCV rupees.
