What is NEET 2019? National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) is a national level medical entrance examination for admission into the MBBS, BDS courses.  NTA is responsible to conduct the NEET examination and this year NEET 2019 exam will be held on 5th May 2019 through offline mode.

The NEET 2019 application form was released on 1st November 2018 and the last date to submit the NEET 2019 application form was on 7th December 2018. So the aspirants who wanted to secure a Medical Seat must appear for NEET exam and get qualifying marks in the examination. The NEET 2019 exam will commence from 5th May 2019 in pen paper based mode.

NEET exam is also considered to be one of the toughest entrance examinations in India and also this year about 12 lakh candidates are registered for the NEET 2019 examination. • National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the NEET exam from the academic year of 2019.
• Only students from Jammu & Kashmir must submit self-declaration form for seats in 15% All India Quota.
• Students from open school can also apply for NEET 2019 subjected to the Court’s verdict.
• Students planning to study medicine in abroad must also qualify in the NEET examination.
• NEET is not compulsory for the students in the state of Karnataka who want peruse Aayush.
• NTA has released a mobile app for NEET mock tests.
• The photograph uploaded by the candidates without name, date and white background is accepted.

NEET Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for NEET 2019 is listed below:

• Nationality: Indian Nationals, NRIs, OCIs, PIOs & Foreign Nationals.
• Educational Qualification: Students must have opted for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Biotechnology in Class 11 & 12 from a recognized board or university.
• Age Limit: The minimum age limit of the candidates must be 17 years as on 31st December 2018.
• Pass Percentage: General candidates must have obtained a minimum of 50% whereas the rest of the candidates should have obtained 40% in the examination.

NEET 2019 Application Form

Candidates must follow the 5 step process in order to register themselves successfully for the NEET 2019 exam and the 5 step registration process is listed below:

Step 1: NEET 2019 Registration

All candidates who wish to appear for medical examination must register themselves with the official website that is ntaneet.nic.in. In order to register candidates must have enter the following details:

• Name,
• Parents Names,
• Mobile No,
• Email ID,
• Category,
• Date of birth,
• Nationality,
• Identification type and number,
• Disabilities

After entering the above details, the candidate must click on the register button and shortly candidate will receive the OTP number to the register number or email id. Now enter the OTP number and you will receive the login credentials for further process.

Step 2: How To Fill The NEET 2019 Application Form?

Candidates must now log in with the help of their credentials and click on the link NEET 2019 Application Form. Students must fill all the necessary details in the application form.

Step 3: Review the NEET 2019 Application

Now check all the details in the NEET 2019 Application form such as nationality, exam centers and medium of the exam and finally submit the NEET 2019 Application Form.

Step 4: Upload the Photograph & Signature

Candidates must upload their photograph with a white background mentioning their name and date below the photograph. Candidates must upload their signature with the white background and it is also necessary for the candidates to upload their right-hand impression.

Step 5: Process the NEET 2019 Fee Payment

Candidates must process the fee payment and the NEET 2019 application fee can be paid through Debit/ Credit Card, Net Banking, E-Wallets of different service providers or through Offline Mode- Via challan. The NEET 2019 application fee will vary based on the candidate’s category and the NEET 2019 application fee based on candidates category is tabulated below:

Step 6: Confirmation Page

After the successful payment, the Confirmation page will be generated. Candidates are advised to take the printout of the confirmation page for future reference.

• The mode of the exam will be offline that is pen-paper based mode.
• The question type is an objective type.
• The duration of the exam will be 3 hours only
• The medium of the exam is Hindi, English, Gujarati, Marathi, Oriya, Bengali, Assamese, Telugu, Tamil, Urdu and Kannada languages.
• One mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
• Four marks will be awarded for every correct answer.

How To Prepare For NEET 2019?

NEET 2019 is a national level competitive entrance examination for admission into medical courses across the university/institutes in India. So it is important for the students appearing for the NEET exam to schedule themselves with preparation plan to ace the NEET 2019 exams easily.

Formula To Calculate NEET 2019 Marks

Follow the steps as below to calculate NEET 2019 Marks:

• For every correct answer, 4 marks are awarded.
• For marking incorrect option, -1 is deducted.
• No mark is deducted for un-attempted questions and marking more than 1 option.
• Total Marks = 180 MCQs X 4 = 720 Marks

So the NEET Score = (Total no of correct answers X 4) – (Total No of Incorrect answers X 1)

NEET 2019 Counselling

On behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), DGHS will conduct NEET counselling 2019 tentatively in the second week of June. In order to participate in the NEET 2019 Counselling, the candidates must register themselves in the online mode. This NEET counselling 2019 will be conducted in 2 rounds for the 15% of the total seats of all the government colleges (except for colleges of Jammu and Kashmir state) also known as 15% All India Quota seats that are

• All the seats of Central and Deemed Universities,
• Seats reserved for Wards of Insured Persons (IP quota) in Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) medical colleges and
• Seats available at the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune.

The NEET 2019 counselling for the remaining 85% State Quota seats of government colleges and all the private colleges will be conducted by the respective state authorities in three rounds.
