NTSE Assam Eligibility Criteria
NTSE Assam exam has some eligibility criteria for the students to appear in the stage 1 exam. Students should go through the required eligibility criteria before the application for the NTSE Assam exam. NTSE Assam eligibility criteria are as mentioned below:
- Students that are currently studying in class 10 in government or government-aided or local body or private schools are eligible to apply for the NTSE Assam stage 1 exam.
- Applicants should have scored more than 40% marks in class 9 in order to appear for the exam. For SC, ST, PH, the minimum criteria are 32%.
- Candidates should enroll under open schooling are also eligible for applying to the NTSE Assam exam.
- It should be noted that no candidate who is currently employed with a salary will be eligible for the NTSE Assam exam.
NTSE Assam Application Form
NTSE Assam 2020 exam application process will start in the 3rd week of September 2019. Students should fill out the application form till the 2nd week of October 2019. - Students should go to the NTSE Assam official exam to fill the application form.
- Documents that are required for the NTSE Assam exam 2020 are as follows:
- Candidate’s signature’s copy
- Candidate’s photograph’s scanned copy
- If required a scanned copy of candidate’s disability certificate
- For reserved category candidates, a scanned copy of candidate’s caste certificate
- Download and printout the declaration copy by the gazetted officer and also get it filled up by the gazetted officer or head of the Institution. Scan the copy and keep it ready for the online form submission.
- Fill the application form carefully and also upload the scanned photograph along with signature and this should not exceed the size of 35 KB. The photograph, as well as a signature, should be in .jpg or. jpeg format.

- After the submission of the online application form, candidates should take the SBI bank e-challan printout which will be in 2 parts. Login using the password and take a printout of the online submission form after the successful payment being done.
NTSE Assam Exam Pattern
The exam will be a mix of mental ability test as well as scholastic ability test. For the exam, language comprehension will not be a part of the exam. Both of these tests will have a total of 100 questions each and thus there are a total of 200 questions. There is no negative marking for this exam and every question will be of 1 mark each.
