Value added is ₹ 1100 – ₹ 500 = ₹ 600. It’s the monetary value of Mukesh’s skill, time and effort that went into making the chair.

Answer:
Akshay working in a law firm is an economic activity as he is compensated in salary (monetary value of his service). When he goes to an old age home it’s a non-economic activity as there is no money involved in it. He does out of compassion and sympathy for elderly people.
