Sri Lanka is an island nation in Southeast Asia that is surrounded by the Indian Ocean from all sides. Located just on few kilometres away from the southern coast of Tamil Nadu, Sri Lanka is separated from India by the Palk Strait.

Sri Lanka is a perfect little world unto itself, replete with rivers, mountains, a constellation of historical sites, Buddhist temples, forests teeming with wild life, endless beaches, cricket pitches, rice paddies, fruit orchards and plantation of tea, cardamom, cinnamon, etc.

Colombo is famous for the lion sculptures at Independence Square, the colonial style Independence Arcade, wandering through the leafy suburbs with exiquisite homes, giant status of Buddha at Gangarama temple with palm trees.” It is a tea estate. It is swathed in green. It was a peaceful world with uncultured and silent with clear air, cooler temperatures and millions of camellia sinenses. There is a ceylon Tea Trails which leases rooms and bungalows surrounding Castlereagh lake. They prepare black, green and white tea from tea leaves. Foreigners and locals enjoy the sunset in Galle Fort. If you want to visit there, December to March is the best time.

Morning Assembly in My School

Answer:
In every school, the morning assembly forms an important part and parcel e.g. school life. It it our age-old culture since ancient times. As per our traditions and rituals, we start every new work with prayers to our Gods. Same is true with the schools since it is the start of new work for the day in every school. Schools are our temples of learning and knowledge. They make us a true and useful citizen of a nation. In the morning assembly, all the students stand and rows along with the teachers before the rows. All say prayers for the best start of the day. The scene is very calm and peaceful.

In their specific school uniform, they look like blosomed flowers spreading their smel everywhere. In most of the schools, physical exercises are undertaken. Even the roll call of the students is taken and entered in the attendance register. Daily news are read by the students and one or the other teacher delivers a moral lecture for the upliftment of the students. The principal too imparts important formation to the school. He remains there and the tune on the loud speaker starts resounding when the students enter their classes. It creates a congenial atmosphere for study.

Finally, he hit against some rock in Ranchi and became unconscious. On returning home he received Chunilal’s letter. The letter had an electrifying effect. And Bepin Babu felt relaxed.

At the very end of the poem the speaker is encountering with an innocent child. Unlike the previous power, money and lust, the child wants to hire the speaker with his due simplicity. Answer:
The guide told the writer that though Stephen Hawking was a worthy successor to Issue Newton. However, he was quite disabled. The writer spent many years trying to play a Spanish guitar considerably larger than he was. One night, he unstringed it very joyfully. It supports the idea that things like the disabled Olympics are a waste of time. One should practice what one is good at.

(b) Who are the seasonal visitors? How does the author describe them?
Answer:
The seasonal visitors are a leopard, several thousand leeches and different kinds of birds. The leopard created nuisance. It lifted a dog from near the servants’ quarter below the school. In the evening, it attacked one of Bijju’s cows. The scarlet minivets flitted silently among the leaves like brilliant jewels. No matter how leafy the trees, these brightly coloured birds could not conceal themselves. There was also a pair of drongos. They looked aggressive and chased the minivets away. A tree creeper moved rapidly up the trunk of the oak tree, snapping up insects, all the way.

(c) What is the lesson given by the poem to the mankind? (The Ant and The Cricket)
Answer:
Through the poem the lesson what has been delivered to the mankind is that we should lead happy moments but not by ignoring our future. Careful planning is essential for everyone and it ensures a secure future. And by the help of this poem one should always be on the path of hard work and don’t opt for shortcut way as shortcuts never leads a person towards success.
On the other hand, hard work makes a person stronger and help in enhancing his/her capabilities. Again, the ant has taught a very god lesson to the cricket.
