What is the length of one bus in metres? What is the length of one cricket bat in metres?
Solution:
We have given that the length of two buses are 30 metres.
Therefore, the length of one bus is 30 ÷ 2 metres
= 15 metres
Also, we have given that the length of six cricket bat is 6 metres.
Therefore, the length of one cricket bat is 6 ÷ 6 metre = 1 metre.
Question 2.
How many buses would be equal to the length of two blue whales?
Solution:
In the given picture, one blue whale is equal to two buses.
Therefore, the two blue whales’ lengths are 2 × 2 buses = 4 buses.
Question 3.
How many cricket bats will be needed to measure one whale?
Solution:
In the given pictures, the length of the whale is 30 metres.
From question 1, the length of one bat is 1 metre.
Therefore, the total cricket bats needed to measure one whale are 1 × 30 = 30 bats.
Question 4.
If two ostriches stand one above another, their height will be equal to the height/length of .

One ostrich’s height is 3 m.
Therefore, the heights of two ostriches are 3m + 3m = 6m
As we can see in the given picture, the crocodile’s length is also 6 metres.

How many crocodiles will be equal to the length of a blue whale? ’
Solution:
The lengths of a crocodile and a blue whale are given as 6 metres and 30 metres, respectively.

= 5
Hence, 5 crocodiles will be equal to the length of one blue whale.
