OBC Scholarship 2021-2022: OBC scholarships are awarded to students belonging to the OBC category (Other Backward Class). It is primarily aimed at providing better educational opportunities and financial assistance for economically backward, but meritorious students. Central Sector Scheme for National Overseas

Central Sector Scheme for National Overseas is an OBC scholarship for candidates who wish to pursue a master’s degree or a Ph.D. program in a foreign university. The fields of study range from professional courses such as medicine and engineering to management and agriculture. Annually, 25 scholarships are provided per subject, and 30% of those are alloted to female candidates.

Candidates pursuing their masters are offered a 3-year fellowship while Ph.D. candidates are offered, 4-year fellowship. Additional benefits include visa fee reimbursement, airfare, allowance for local travel and incidence journey allowance.
Eligibility Criteria for Central Sector Scheme for National Overseas

  • Candidates pursuing their Ph.D. or masters are eligible to apply
  • The candidate must have scored a minimum of 60% marks in their previous course
  • Candidates should not be over 35 years of age
  • The candidate’s annual family income must be less than INR 3 lakh from all sources.

OBC Scholarship Application Procedure

  • Candidates are required to obtain an application form from the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India.
  • Fill in the required details and attach relevant documents mentioned in the application.
  • Send it back to the Ministry after completing all required processes. Employed candidates are required to send the application form through their employers. Such candidates are also required to attach their tax assessment details and salary slip.

Selection Procedure: The candidates will be selected after careful analysis by a selection committee formed by the ministry. Preference will be given to candidates who have already procured admission to a foreign institution.

Merit Scholarship for OBC Students – Delhi

Merit Scholarship for OBC Students is an OBC scholarship available to students pursuing their class 6th to class 12th. The scholarship is also available for students pursuing professional courses such as medicine or engineering. Students pursuing technical courses are awarded a maximum amount of INR 1620 per month and up to INR 4500 per year for other courses.

  • Students from class 6th to 12th are eligible
  • Candidates pursuing professional courses should have secured a minimum of 60% marks in their Class 12 or equivalent.
  • The income of the family from all sources should not exceed INR 2,00,000

Application Procedure

  • Candidates need to visit e-District Delhi and fill in the required details. The process is done entirely online as no offline application form exists.
  • Relevant documents, such as income certificate, caste certificate, bank passbook (copy), fee receipt, passport sized photo, and Aadhar card are to be uploaded.

National Fellowship for OBC

National fellowship for OBC is a scholarship that falls under the purview of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. It aims to provide financial assistance to OBC students who wish to pursue advanced degrees and courses. A total of 300 scholarships are available for JRF (Junior Research Fellow) and SRF (Senior Research Fellow). The scheme is applicable to all universities that are recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The duration of the scholarship for JRF is two years, however, candidates can continue availing the scholarship as SRF for 3 additional years, provided that the research is progressive.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must belong to the OBC category with documents to support the same
  • Total family income from all sources should not be over INR 6,00,000
  • Must have completed post-graduation
  • Transgender candidates are eligible to apply. Reservation shall be provided as per the norms laid out by the Government of India.
  • Candidates who are already registered for Ph.D./ MPhil are eligible for the award of the fellowship.
  • Selection is made based on the merit of the candidate.

Application Procedure

  • Candidates are required to visit the official UGC website and check the relevant links to apply for the scholarship
  • The application is presented in two parts are candidates are required to fill both

Selection Procedure: The candidates are selected based on merit cum means. UGC also has its own processes and guidelines to award scholarships to deserving candidates.

ONGC Scholarship

ONGC (Oil and Natural Gas Corporation) provides 1000 scholarships to candidates from OBC category. The scholarship is applicable for OBC students pursuing their first-year graduate or postgraduate courses. Successful candidates will be awarded an allowance of INR 4,000 per month for the duration of the course.

Eligibility

  • Candidates must be pursuing their 1st year in professional courses such as engineering or medicine.
  • Candidates pursuing an MBA are also eligible.
  • Candidates pursuing a master’s in Geophysics or Geology are eligible as well.
  • Candidates must have secured not less than 60% marks in their class 12.
  • The courses the candidates opt for must be recognized by the AICTE
  • The upper age limit should be under 30 years of age.

  • Candidates are selected on the basis of merit in the qualifying exam for the prescribed course of study. Moreover, special preference is given for candidates who are below the poverty line.

Post-Matric Scholarship

Post matric scholarship aims to provide financial aid to students from the OBC category and other backward classes to complete post-secondary education. This scholarship is overseen by the State and Union Territories in India. Moreover, students are not tied down to a single state. What this means is, a student belonging to one state, but pursuing a course in another state is still eligible to be awarded a scholarship by the respective authority in the same state. The scholarship award varies on the type of course (day scholar or hosteller).

Eligibility: Primarily eligibility criteria are that students have to be from the OBC category. Other eligibility criteria vary according to the respective state.

  • Scholarships can be applied in either offline or online mode (in the respective state’s scholarship portal)

Pre-Matric Scholarship

Pre-matric Scholarship is provided to students belonging to OBC pursuing pre-matric in government schools or recognized private schools. The students are awarded a stipend up to INR 500 per month.

Eligibility: The annual family income of the candidate must not exceed INR 2,50,000 per annum.

Fair and Lovely Foundation Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

Females must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

  • Candidates who have passed with distinction or secured a high percentage of marks are eligible.
  • All-female candidates who have scored up to 60% marks in the 10th and 12th classes and desire to pursue higher education.
  • Candidates studying vocational courses should have passed 8th class with a minimum of 50% of the marks.

The selection process for the Fair and Lovely Scholarship is given below:

  • Female candidates have to apply for this Scholarship online by providing all the required details.
  • Candidates are asked to answer two subjective questions related to themselves. Then, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their submitted applications.
  • Candidates get a percentile ranking based on merit, family income, streams and special criteria such as physically handicapped, single parents, orphans, and so forth.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for the telephonic interview before the result declaration.
  • An experienced panel of interviewers will conduct a small 10-15 minutes telephonic interview. The interview will be taken in English, Hindi, or South Indian language only. The HUL Team Consultation will only decide the interview questions.

Scholarships for Students

PACE Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

  • All the tribal caste (Class 10th to 12th moving) students studying under 1000 schools that come under Tribal Development Department, Maharashtra will be eligible.
  • The student must have cleared the 10th board Examination in 2019
  • The student must possess Original Tribal Caste Certificate

PACE Super 50 Entrance Examination

The entrance exam will be conducted in 2 Phases.

First Phase

  • The first Screening test for both Engineering and Medical applicants will be conducted across all the 1000 schools on 28th June 2019. Timing for the entrance exam will be:
Engineering paper 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM
Medical paper 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM
  • Reporting time will be 1 hour before the exam.
  • 400 students (200 each from Engineering and Medical) will be chosen based on their performance in Screening Test.

Second Phase

  • Second and Final Entrance Exam of all the Selected 400 students will be conducted on 12th July 2019.
  • The timing of the entrance exam will be 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM for both Engineering and Medical paper.
  • Reporting time will be 1 hour prior to the exam.

PACE Scholarship Admission Procedure

  • Selected scholars can register themselves for the specified courses till 24th July 2019 at Vagad Pace Global School. They have to carry original and a copy of
    • Tribal caste certificate
    • Birth certificate
    • 10th mark sheet
    • School leaving certificate (or Transfer certificate)
    • Aadhaar card (if any student doesn’t have it, he/she can apply & submit till 25th Sep 2019).
  • The copies of all the above documents will be submitted by students to Vagad Pace Global School at the time of admission.
  • Pace will also give an extended list of 10 students each for Engineering and Medical who will be given a chance if any selected student doesn’t take admission before 24th July 2019.
  • No fee shall be charged by Iitians Pace/Vagad Pace Global School to any student selected for the program.

PACE Scholarship Direct Admission

PACE has set a percentage criterion for each course. Students scoring 90% or above in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology or rank 1, 2 or 3 in IX final exam or X prelims can get direct admission. Students who qualify for direct admission criteria can also appear for the Ace of Pace Scholarship Exam to avail of a scholarship.

If a student does not fulfill the percentage criterion, he/ she has to appear for the Ace of Pace Scholarship Exam. On the basis of score in the exam, a student is offered admission and scholarship.

Samunnathi Scholarship Coaching Assistance

  • This scholarship provides financial support to economically backward students from forwarding communities. Those students who are undertaking training for various competitive exams. These are Civil Service/Bank/PSC coaching, Medical/Engineering entrance coaching, etc.
  • An amount of Rs. 10,000 will be granted to 840 students of higher secondary. Also, granted to students who have already completed higher secondary from the past 2 years.
  • These students are eligible to apply for the medical/ engineering coaching assistance scheme.
  • A total of 700 educated people will get an amount of Rs. 6000 as financial aid. Those people should have acquired basic qualifications for the competitive exams of Bank, UPSC, and PSC.
  • Apart from this, the students who are preparing for the Civil Service exams will receive separate financial aid.
  • An amount of Rs. 15,000 will be granted for the Preliminary exams. An amount of Rs. 25,000 will be granted for the Main exams. Whereas an amount of Rs. 30,000 will be granted for the Interview.

Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship Selection Process

The Selections for RGNF made on the basis of merit and as per the procedures of the Commission. The Commission scrutinizes and selects the received applications. The final selection depends on the decision of the Commission. The Commission has the right to withdraw/cancel the award without conveying any reason.

After these formalities, the candidates Joining Report will be duly signed by the supervisor/head of the department. Then, it will be sent to the UGC through the Registrar/ Director/ Principal. The first-year admissible grant releases on receipt of the Joining Report and other required documents. Otherwise, the concerned university will be informed to release the grant.

This grant releases from the funds which have sanctioned for this purpose by the Commission. Thereon, the fellows may get the amount from the institutions/bank after getting the UGC approval/award letter. Also, other expenses from the grants paid by the Commission in conformity with the rules. The payment of the fellowships will be transferred directly into the bank account of the beneficiaries.

Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship Terms and Conditions

  • The duration of the RGNF scheme is initially two years.
  • The work of the Fellow will be evaluated by a Committee of three members before the completion of this duration. These three committee members are the Head of the Department, Supervisor and one external subject expert. These members are to be constituted by the concerned Department/ University/ College.
  • The tenure will be extended further based on the research work satisfaction. If the work is satisfactory, then tenure will be extended for 3 more years.
  • The tenure will be extended under the enhanced emoluments of the Rajiv Gandhi National Senior Research Fellowship (RGNSRF).
  • The recommendation of the Committee for upgrading the level of RGNSRF will be submitted to the UGC.
  • The work status and the time spent on fellowships of any agency other than the UGC will not be accepted. The fellowship information from UGC only considers improving the value of fellowship.
  • The fellowship may be withdrawn in case of dissatisfaction with the work. Also, if the candidate fails in any of the examinations related to Ph.D.
  • In case the work for the first two years is not satisfied, an extra year will be given to a candidate for improvement.
  • In this duration, the candidate will be designated as Rajiv Gandhi National Junior Research Fellow (RGNJRF).
  • Again the work will be evaluated after completion of 2nd year of the tenure.
  • If found any improvement, then the Fellow will get two more years under the RGNSRF.
  • So, the total period of fellowship (RGNJRF and RGNSRF) is for five years, with no more provision of extension.

  • This is a minority scholarship and can, therefore, be implemented by learners from minority groups like Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Parsi, and Jain.

Application Process: Students can register the internet through Sydney University’s internet implementation scheme.

Eligibility

  • This scholarship is available for international learners.
  • For any UG program at the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies at Sydney University, the applicants must have an unconditional grant.
  • The applicants must have finished either an Australian Year 12 diploma or an ATAR equal to a capped 98 global junior secondary diploma.

Reward: This scholarship includes only one year 50 percent of the chosen applicant’s education charges.

Eligibility

  • Applicants enrolled in the first-year MSc program (pre-MSc degree category minimum first-class) are qualified.
  • The candidates may also qualify for a GPA rating of 6.0 on a scale of 10 in the fifth to pre-final year of the Integrated MSc program or equal.
  • GPA rating of 8.0 on a scale of 10 or GPA 7.0 on a scale of 10 for CFT Is at B.E/B. Tech or GATE Score of 600 or NET (Engineering) rank of 1 to 100 may also extend to first-year learners of ME / MTech program or similar.

  • Bachelor’s degree and skilled professional qualification must be held by the candidates.
  • As on the eve of the grant of this grant, the applicants must have at least 5 years of work remaining in the mother organization.

Reward

  • The applicants earn a grant amounting to Rs. 25,000 per month under this Abdul Kalam grant.

Prof.Joseph Mundassery Scholarship 2021-2022: Joseph Mundassery Scholarship 2020 is a financial aid provided by the Department of Minority Welfare, Government of Kerala. This scholarship is primarily meant to provide financial support to students from economically weaker sections of society to pursue their education. The scholarship is eligible from SSLC level to Plus 2 and at the Vocational Higher Secondary Education (VHSE) level. Secondary and higher secondary students can be benefited through this Scholarship. This is the Central Sector Scholarship also available for College and University students. MHRD Scholarship 2021

MHRD provides different scholarships to underprivileged students such as Pre-Matric, Post-Matric, Merit Cum Means, & Minority. So, all the category candidates can fill the MHRD scholarship application form and complete their education without any financial hurdles. The total number of scholarships are allocated between the State Education Boards based on the number of students passing out from various boards in the country within the age limit of 18 to 25 years. The State Education Board distributes scholarships between the pass outs of Science, Commerce and Humanities streams in a 3:2:1 ratio. There are 2 categories of MHRD scholarships.

Central Sector Scholarship Scheme

This scholarship is given by MHRD Govt. of India to only the meritorious students who have passed in class 12. 82000 scholarships are awarded every year for pursuing UG/ PG in colleges and universities. Out of 82000 scholarships, 41000 are reserved for boys and the remaining 41000 for girl candidates. Scholarships are also awarded for medical, engineering, etc. professional courses. The following are some important points of the scholarship.

Important Points

  • The Scholarships are distributed based on the senior secondary examination results.
  • Families’ annual income must not be above Rs. 6 Lakhs.
  • Graduate students will get a scholarship of Rs. 1000/- whereas postgraduate students will get a scholarship of Rs.2000/- per month.
  • Students can also renew their application form if they have secured a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate.
  • Authorities will select the students based on the merit list.

Special Scholarship Scheme for Jammu & Kashmir

This scheme offers to encourage the students from Jammu & Kashmir to study in institutions outside the State. It provides around 5000 scholarships towards tuition fees and maintenance allowance to students. The rate of scholarship towards tuition fee for Engineering courses is Rs.1.25 Lakh per annum, for Medical Courses Rs.3 Lakh per annum and for General Degree courses Rs.30000 per annum.

However, all students can avail of a fixed maintenance allowance of Rs. 1 Lakh per annum. The scholarship amount will be transferred directly to the student’s bank account through the Direct Benefit Transfer mode. 10 supernumerary quotas are available in Engineering colleges whereas 2 to 3 supernumerary quotas are available in Nursing colleges. This scheme also organizes workshops across states. The main goal of this scheme is to provide all the benefits to deserving students.  The following are the eligibility criteria for the scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria for Jammu & Kashmir Scholarship Scheme

  • Families’ annual income must be less than Rs. 6 Lakhs.
  • Students who have passed class 12 from the state and secured admission in Section 12B of the UGC Act, AICTE or respective regulatory body-approved institutions outside the state.
  • Students should apply online on the AICTE portal www.aicte-jk-scholarship-gov.in.
  • Students pursuing courses through Open Universities and Diploma courses are not eligible.
  • Students should not get benefits from other scholarships.
  • Students must not get admission through the management quota.

Scholarship scheme for students from the Non-Hindi speaking States for Post-Matric Studies in Hindi

The main objective of this scheme is to encourage students of Non-Hindi speaking States to study in Hindi. This scheme distributes around 2500 scholarships to meritorious students studying Post-Matric to Ph.D. This scheme also provides Rs. 300 to Rs.1000 per month to each student based on the course and stage of the study. This scheme is implemented by the State Government/ UT Administrations.

MHRD Scholarship External Scholarships

MHRD enables the nomination process for the external scholarships offered by various countries. Most of these scholarships are for research, Masters and Doctoral courses. Cultural/ Educational Exchange Programmes offer these scholarships. The list of these scholarships is given below.

  • Agatha Harrison Memorial Fellowship by MHRD: This fellowship scheme offers Indian students a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the UG/ PG level. This fellowship encourages young scholars interested in pursuing an academic career in Modern Indian Studies sponsored by the Government of India at St. Antony’s College, Oxford (U.K.).
  • Korean Government Scholarship by MHRD: This scholarship is provided by the Korean Government to Indian students interested in pursuing higher studies. Indian students have to study at a Korean University or a NIIED designated Institute Under this scholarship. However, the Korean Government will select only 5 students out of 8 nominations and some monthly allowance will be given to those students.
  • Israel Government Scholarship by MHRD: This scholarship is provided by the Isreal Government to Indian students interested in pursuing higher studies at Israel University. A total of 7 scholarships are provided to students out of which 2 are for the Hebrew language and 5 for Research under this scholarship. Students will be benefited from some monthly allowance, health insurance, and tuition fee facilities.
  • Chinese Government Scholarship by MHRD: This scholarship provides an exchange program between China and India. Under this scholarship, students will be benefited from boarding, lodging, health insurance, tuition fee, and other facilities by China Government. Some amount of scholarships will be provided to students.
  • UGC Scholarships by MHRD: University Grants Commission is the educational structure working under MHRD to provide scholarships to meritorious students for their higher education. This scholarship offers college and university education to economically deprived students.
  • AICTE Scholarships by MHRD: This Scholarship is provided to students on a merit basis by AICTE. AICTE offers financial support to students in the form of scholarships.   • Selected candidates for MHRD Scholarship,’
  • MHRD Scholarship 2021 will receive Rs. 6000/- per annum i.e, Rs. 500/- per month for their further studies.
  • The tenure of the scholarship for a Ph.D. is strictly 2 years without any extension.
  • During this tenure a scholarship amount of Rs. 12400/- per month will be paid to students.
  • The rate of MHRD Scholarship for the College and University courses is Rs. 10000/- per annum at graduation level. Whereas Rs. 20000/- per annum will be given at the post-graduation level.
  • Students pursuing professional courses with a duration of 5 years will get Rs. 20000/-per annum in the 4th and 5th year.
  • However, students pursuing technical courses such as B.E., B.Tech, etc. will get MHRD Scholarships up to graduation level.

MHRD Scholarship Selection Criteria 2021

Students will be selected for this scholarship on the basis of a written tests conducted by the Department. However, each State/ Union Territory will conduct its own competitive written test to select students for the award of the National Means Cum Merit Scholarship. The following are the two tests conducted at the state-level examination.

Mental Ability Test (MAT)

  • It consists of 90 multiple choice questions for testing verbal and non-verbal reasoning and thinking abilities.
  • The questions will be asked from Analogy, Classification, Hidden Figures, etc.
  • MAT test will be held for a duration of 90 minutes.

Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)

  • It consists of 90 multiple choice questions based on Mathematics, Science and Social Science subjects of class VII and VIII syllabus.
  • SAT tests will also be held for a duration of 90 minutes.

MHRD Scholarship Renewal 2021

This scholarship is renewable for up to 5 years in the same stream at the graduation level. For all professional courses, the scholarship will only be renewed up to the graduation level. If a student is unable to appear in the annual exam due to illness or some incident then the scholarship may be renewed for the next academic year on submission of verified proofs. Students changing their college/ University would be allowed to renew the scholarship. So, students who have applied for the MHRD scholarship last year need to fill the renewal form to apply for the same scheme this year. Students can log in to the MHRD scholarship official portal and enter valid details in the renewal form.

Governed by the Department of College Education, Rajasthan’s Chief Minister’s Higher Education Scholarship Program extends for students who have completed their 12th grade with at least 60 percent marks and are on the merit list of the first 1 Lakh students whose annual family income is no more than Rs. 2.50 Lakh. This qualification cum ensures the students receive a scholarship sum of Rs. 5,000 per annum dependent on scholarship.

PM Scholarship 2021-22: PM Scholarship or Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme (PMSS) is a scholarship scheme that strives at promoting higher professional and technical studies for the dependent wards and widows of Central Armed Police Forces & Assam Rifles (CAPFs & AR) and State Police Personnel. Initiated in the year 2006-07, this scheme is run by the Welfare and Rehabilitation Board,  Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. This scheme has by far affected lakhs of students and helped many of them pursue their dream careers easily.

The Government of India (GOI) has recently introduced major changes in the scholarship by revising the scholarship reward amount for girls from Rs.2,250 to Rs.3,000 per month and for boys from Rs.2,000 to Rs.2,500 per month. Additionally, 500 new scholarships will also be given to the wards of State Police officials who were martyred in terror or Naxal attacks. Under PM Modi Scholarship Scheme, 25000 Rs scholarship offering to 10th or 12th pass students by Narendra Modi. PM Scholarship Scheme for 12th pass students is Rs. 25000.

PM Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

Check the eligibility criteria for the candidates who want to acquire the PM scholarship. If the candidate does not meet the criteria, they will not be able to fill the application form or get the scholarship reward. Only those who fulfill the conditions will be rewarded with the scholarship amount and benefits.

  • Candidate should be a dependent ward/widow of deceased CAPFs & AR/ Ex-CAPFs & AR/ retired and serving CAPFs & AR/ State Police Personnel.
  • Candidate should be pursuing professional courses. (Not applicable for lateral entry and integrated courses).
  • The minimum education qualification to apply for these courses should be class 12/ diploma/ graduation.
  • The candidates should have secured at least 60% marks or above in the minimum educational qualification. (For renewal in subsequent years, the Candidates need to obtain at least 50% marks in the qualifying examination).
  • As per the latest decision made by the Government of India, the scholarship scheme will also cover the wards of State Police officials who are/were martyred during Naxal/terror attacks. A total of Rs.500 scholarships in a year will be given to the wards of State Police officials.
  • Wards of Civilians including Para-Military Personnel are NOT ELIGIBLE.

  • Click on the “New Registration” link.

Login with User Id and Password

  • PM Scholarship Log in to the portal using the application id and password received on your registered mobile number.

PM Scholarship Rewards

  • The amount of which candidate will receive under the Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme and for how many years the scholarships will be disbursed are the necessary details a candidate should know.
  • A total of 5500 eligible candidates get benefit under this scheme every year. And these scholarships are equally distributed among boys and girls, i.e. 2750 each.
  • Besides, the amount of the scholarship offered to girls is Rs.3000 per month and to boys is Rs.2500 per month, every year.
  • Moreover, the duration of the scholarship may differ from one year to five years depending on your course span.

PM Scholarship Selection Criteria

The criteria that are considered while shortlisting candidates for PM scholarship and the authorities who are responsible for the final selection of students, those details are discussed. For the end-to-end implementation and disbursement of the scheme, the Ministry of Home Affairs is completely responsible. But the preference is given to students in the following order:

  • Category A: The first preference is given to the wards and widows of CAPFs & AR personnel who were killed in action.
  • Category B: The second preference is given to the wards of Ex-CAPFs & AR personnel who got disabled in action.
  • Category C: The third preference is given to the wards and widows of deceased CAPFs & AR personnel who died during their service for causes attributable to Government service.
  • Category D: The next preference is given to the wards of Ex-CAPFs & AR personnel who got disabled during their service with disability attributable to Government service.
  • Category E: Further, the preference is given to the wards of Ex-CAPFs & AR personnel who have received gallantry awards.
  • Category F: The next preference is given to the wards of Ex-CAPFs & AR personnel (PBOR only).
  • Category G: Lastly, the preference will be given to the wards of serving CAPFs & AR personnel (PBOR) subject to the availability of the scholarship.

Note: The dependents wards of State Police Personnel who died during Naxal/Terror attacks will also be given preference.

PM Scholarship Renewal

Let us know the renewal procedure for the candidates who want to renew their scholarship. While the selected students will get the reward of the first installment of the PM scholarship as soon as the merit list is declared, the subsequent payments are done only if the scholars apply for the renewal of scholarship at the end of each academic year. Just like the new application, the candidate can also apply for the renewal through online mode. Although to apply for the renewal application, it is necessary for a candidate to fulfill certain criteria that include:

  • Candidate should secure at least 50% marks in every semester or academic year.
  • Candidates have to pass all the subjects in each year/semester in one attempt.

Candidate can apply for renewal within one year of the declaration of merit list and the applications can be made throughout the year but not between January to April months.

PM Scholarship for Integrated Courses

  • Minimum Educational Qualification (MEQ) will be 10+2. However when applying students need to upload mark sheets of 10+2 in all cases, 1st year and 2nd year (all semesters) where 1st course is non-professional.
  • There are two types of Integrated Courses (dual degree) which are discussed below :
    • Integrated courses (dual degree) that have both the courses as Professional/Technical for example BE+ME, B.Tech+M.Tech, BBA+MBA, etc. In such cases, only the first professional degree will be granted a scholarship.
    • Integrated Courses (dual degree) which have a first degree as Academic (Non-Professional) and second degree as Professional/Technical for example BA + LLB, B.Com + LLB, B.Sc.+B.Ed. In such cases, students will be paid for the professional part of the course and not for non – professional/academic part.
  • A student pursuing Integrated courses wherein one degree is professional and another degree is non-professional, he/she will be awarded a scholarship for the professional portion of the dual degree course only and not for the academic portion of such course. The same is illustrated with the help of an example as under :
    • “In BA+LLB (dual degree course) first degree is BA which is non-professional and 2nd degree is LLB is which is professional. Therefore, scholarship for the professional portion (i.e. LLB) only will be provided.
  • When 1st degree is non-professional and 2nd degree is professional, in such cases, while seeking PM scholarship from third year onward student must have completed his previous two years of non-professional course without fail. Repetition/RA/Failure will make students ineligible to apply for a scholarship. A student should clear all the subjects of 1st & 2nd year in the first attempt and within the stipulated time frame from the date of admission, otherwise he/she will not be considered for award of scholarship and application will be rejected.

Important Instructions for Students

  • Students to respond in time according to SMS/email received from Kendriya Sainik Board.
  • E-mail and Mobile Number mentioned in the application must be of the student. Alternate Mobile Number can be of ESM. E-mail and mobile number once registered should not be changed since all messages being sent to the registered email/mobile number
  • During checking of new application if observation raised from ZSB/RSB and KSB is not rectified within the stipulated time frame of 10 days, then the application will be automatically rejected by the system. So ensure that the observation is rectified in time to avoid system rejection of the application.
  • During the period from January to May, processing, selection and preparation of merit list of a new application (1st-year students) are being done by KSB. Processing and payment of renewal applications are done as and when received by KSB throughout the year EXCEPT from January to May. Student/ESM to keep in mind the periodicity of checking of application (new and renewal) before raising any query relating to the checking/payment status of applications.
  • Student/ESM should log in to the KSB account to check the status of the application. It is to be noted while application status is showing pending to the student dashboard, but on the ground, the application is in the process at different levels/functionaries at KSB.
  • Student studying abroad as well as distance learning case is not eligible for PMSS

Minimum Educational Qualification (MEQ) for entry into various professional courses differs e.g. for MBBS it is 10+2 whereas for BE/B Tech it is 10+2 / Diploma, for B.Ed and MBA it is graduation qualification. A candidate must have a minimum of 60% marks in MEQ to apply for PM Scholarship Scheme 2020. All subjects will be taken for calculation of 60% marks including optional subjects also and not out of the best subjects.

How to acknowledge the receipt of the scholarship amount?

Answer:
On receipt of the scholarship amount from KSB, the student is required to update Column 14 of Renewal Application by logging into his/her KSB account using Log ID & Password by entering ‘Date of payment and amount received’ (two separate columns). This is a mandatory audit requirement to get the benefit of PMSS, otherwise, the scholarship will be canceled and the money already paid will be recovered. ‘Save’ button is provided at the bottom of Column 14. This action has to be completed immediately on receipt of the scholarship amount for each installment.

VIT Scholarship 2021: VIT scholarship is offered by the Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore. The scholarship is primarily to support meritorious, yet needy students to complete their education by providing financial assistance. VIT Scholarship 2020 for students appearing in VITEEE 2020.

VIT Vellore scholarship can be availed by students that have secured a good rank in their engineering entrance exam under a scheme called the GV School Development Programme (GVSDP). State and Central toppers will have their tuition fee waived off for all four years. Moreover, two toppers from government schools in rural areas will be awarded a 100% tuition fee waiver, plus exemption from hostel and mess fees. Students who have secured VIT Rank 1 to 1000 will have a certain percentage of their tuition fee waived off.

E Grantz Scholarship 2021: E Grantz is an Online Centralised System for the Disbursement of Scholarships/Schemes for all Pre-matric and Post-matric Students of SC, ST & OBC community in the state of Kerala. The portal permits the students who belong to reserved classes or categories so that they can apply online for the scholarships open at the post-matriculation level.

The recipients of any educational support scheme have to first enroll by giving their basic details such as Name, Address, Date of Birth, Gender, Mobile Number, Bank Account details and Aadhar Number. Through a single registration, the system could uniquely identify a student and this basic detail shall be used for the disbursement of educational assistance throughout the period of education under various schemes. The financial assistance reaches the student’s bank account through Direct Beneficiary Transfer (DBT).

Also, if any student is incapable of submitting the online application, the portal provides the facility for the institutions to submit the application on a student’s behalf. In the past years, the portal has served over 3 Lakh students pursuing education across 3400+ institutions in Kerala. E Grantz Scholarship

The E-Grantz gateway only lists post-matric scholarship for the scholars belonging to SC, OBC, OEC and other economically or socially backward classes. The expense of financial help, given to students within these schemes alters based on an individual category and current educational qualification. Besides, with the help of this exceptional platform, the chosen students receive the scholarship reward directly into their bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

The scholarships/schemes given on the E-Grantz portal have a pre-defined set of eligibility requirements that students need to fulfill before applying for it. These criteria are essentially based on your current educational qualification, residence, the class to which you belong and family earnings. E Grantz Application Process

The application can be submitted online by students themselves using the menu provided in the e-Grantz home page. Students can also submit applications online through Akshaya e-centers elsewhere in the state. The Akshaya centers will supply a printout of the online application.

The services in the Akshaya centers are free. The printout of the application submitted online along with certificates to prove caste, income and mark lists of qualifying examination, etc shall be submitted to the head of the institution within a week of admission. Students who undergo a subsequent year of a course need not submit applications. Follow the steps to apply:

  • Visit the E-Grantz 3.0 portal.
  • Click on the “One-Time Registration” button.

  • Provide your Aadhaar number and name (as on Aadhaar).
  • Click on “Validate Aadhaar”.
  • Fill in the mandatory details such as mobile number, birth date, email id, and password.
  • Click on “Register”.
  • After the successful registration, the students need to log in to the user dashboard by using the registered email id and password.
  • After login, the students are required to complete their profiles.
  • Fill in all required details stated in the five sections namely, basic details, other details, bank details, upload details, and institution details.

Dr. Ambedkar Post-Matric Scholarship to DNT Students

  • The rates under different Post-Matric Courses range between Rs. 1200 per month and Rs. 380 per month for hostellers. For the day scholars, the range is Rs. 550 to Rs. 230 per month.
  • The outlay for the year 2015-16 will be met from the scheme of Educational & Economic Development of DNTs which is Rs. 5.00 crore

Dr Br Ambedkar Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

Each system of scholarships maintains certain requirements for learners to fulfill in order to profit from it.   • The candidates shall be members of the Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes (DNTs) not included in the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes.
  • The candidates’ annual household earnings from all sources must not be more than Rs. 2 Lakh.
  • Applicants must study in classes 1 to 10 and 11, 12 (including general, professional, ITI, 3-year polytechnics, etc.), graduation, postgraduation, M.Phil, Ph.D., and post-doctoral programs.

Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship Application Procedure

Although the system for Dr. Ambedkar’s grant was initiated by the BC Division of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, the State Governments / UT Administrations / Universities / Colleges provide economic help under this system to meet the requirements of qualified learners. Under this system, the state and central government’s share of financing is 25:75. Those qualified for this grant can, therefore, email their state’s education department if they plan to apply for the Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship for DNT pre-matric and post-matric learners.
