National Scholarship Portal 2022-2023: National Scholarship Portal (NSP एनएसपी) is a digital scholarship program that offers multiple scholarships proposed by the central government, state governments and other government firms like UGC (University Grants Commission), etc. This Portal entertains about 50 scholarships worth hundreds of crores among the scholarship seekers listed on the platform. According to administrators, NSP has helped the government achieve and distribute scholarships of about Rs.2000/- crores and more. The program claims that they receive 125 Lac applications every year, out of which 105 lakhs applications are the verified ones.

National Portal Scholarship is a one-stop platform through which many services starting from student application, receipt, processing, consent and disbursal of several scholarships to Students are approved. National Scholarships Portal is taken as Mission Mode Project under National e-Governance Plan (NeGP). Last Date of NSP Scholarship Last Date 2023 for different scholarship schemes is as follows and is discussed below. नेशनल स्कॉलरशिप पोर्टल: नेशनल स्कॉलरशिप पोर्टल (NSP Portal) एक डिजिटल स्कॉलरशिप प्रोग्राम है, जो केंद्र सरकार, राज्य सरकारों और अन्य सरकारी फर्मों जैसे UGC (यूनिवर्सिटी ग्रांट्स कमीशन) आदि द्वारा प्रस्तावित कई स्कॉलरशिप प्रदान करता है। यह पोर्टल सैकड़ों की संख्या में लगभग 50 मिलियनशिप का मनोरंजन करता है। मंच पर सूचीबद्ध छात्रवृत्ति चाहने वालों के बीच करोड़ों। प्रशासकों के अनुसार, एनएसपी ने सरकार को लगभग 2000 / – करोड़ रुपए और अधिक की छात्रवृत्ति प्राप्त करने और वितरित करने में मदद की है। कार्यक्रम का दावा है कि उन्हें हर साल 125 लाख आवेदन प्राप्त होते हैं, जिनमें से 105 लाख आवेदन सत्यापित हैं।

What is The Objective of National Scholarship Portal?

The Mission Mode Project (MMP) of the National Scholarships Portal under the National e-Governance Plan strives at presenting a common electronic portal for implementing many Scholarships projects originated by Union Government, State Government and Union Territories across the country. The main objectives of the NSP merit list -2023 date

  • Ensure Scholarships to the students have been given timely.
  • To provide a common portal for many Scholarships plans of Central and State Governments
  • Create a clear database of learners
  • Ensure no duplication is done in processing.

NSP Scheme UGC

The University Grants Commission (UGC) is a leading legal body of the Indian government functioning under MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development). It has been set up with an aim to organize, prepare and maintain the standards of higher education in India. It is the administration that gives identification to universities across India and also presents them with capital. NSP State Schemes

Similar to the central government, the state government also grants scholarships for learners who are the domicile of their respective states. Wherein many state governments run their own scholarship portal where students can apply, but few prefer inviting applications through the National Scholarship Portal. How To Apply for National Scholarship Portal?

To apply for a scholarship follow the below steps for National Scholarship Portal Registration

  • Students applying for a scholarship for the first time (Fresh Students) need to “Register” on the portal as a fresh applicant by providing accurate and authenticated information as printed on their documents in the “Student Registration Form”.
  • The national scholarship form registration is required to be filled by parents/guardians of students who are below the age of 18 years on the date of registration.
  • Before initiating the registration process, students /Parents/guardian are advised to keep the following documents handy
    • Educational documents of the student.
    • Student’s Bank account number and IFSC code of the bank branch
      Note: For the pre-matric scholarship scheme, where students do not have their own bank account, parents can provide their own account details. However, the parents’ account number can only be used against scholarship applications for a maximum of two children.
    • Aadhaar number of the Student
    • If Aadhaar is not available, then Bonafide student certificate from Institute / School and
    • Aadhaar Enrolment ID or Scanned copy of Bank passbook
    • If Institute/School is different from the domicile state of the applicant, then Bonafide student certificate from Institute / School.
  • Details to be filled in the National Scholarship application form are
    • Date of Birth (DOB)
    • State of Domicile
    • Scholarship Category
    • Name of Student
    • Mobile Number
    • Email Id
    • Bank account details
    • Identification Details
  • After submitting the application, the default login id and password to log into the National Scholarship Portal Login will be sent to the provided mobile number. In case the password is not received, the option for forgot a password at the login page shall be used.
  • Students are advised to provide “Annual Family Income” as per the Income Certificate issued by a competent authority in their scholarship application.

In the case of Existing User

  • Apply for National Scholarship Portal Renewal -20 with your ‘Application Id’ and Date of Birth which you registered the previous year.
  • A student can also use ‘Forgot Application ID’ to retrieve their ID.
  • Only those students would be able to renew who had actually received the scholarship payments during the previous year from NSP.

In Case of Forgot Password

In case, if students have forgotten their password, there is no need to worry they can easily change their password by National Scholarship Portal Student login into the National Scholarship Portal Forgot Password

National Merit Scholarship – Scholarship Registration Tracking

Once you are done with the complete application, the NSP also offers the provision for tracking your current application NSP Scholarship status through the ‘Check Your NSP Status’ tab. Whether your application has been finally submitted or not will be visible under this section. Students can check National Scholarship Portal Status from here.

National Scholarship Portal – Apply Through its Mobile App

Considering the advent of mobile technology, the Government of India has launched its ‘National Scholarship Portal Mobile App’ in the year to make scholarship applications easier and more convenient for the students. The students can download and install the mobile app through the Google Play Store on their respective mobile devices.

Also, there is an availability of the NSP mobile app in the ‘UMANG’ app launched by the government earlier. So, if you already have the UMANG app installed on your mobile devices, you can start applying for the scholarships too by registering at NSP mobile app. The app covers end to end services of the National Scholarship Portal. You can not only get access to NSP scholarships -20 but also apply for them in just a few simple steps.

How to submit the online application? Should I need the user id and password to apply for a scholarship?

Answer:
Applying procedures for Scholarship Schemes for both Fresh and Renewal are given below:

  • New Registration: Student has to Click on the option “Student Login”, on the home page of the National Scholarships Portal. Fill up the application as per the instructions are given by the system then click on the Save button. After saving, the student will get a “Temporary ID”. The system will instruct the applicant to submit his/her Temporary ID and date of birth to fill subsequent details. Once registration is complete on the click of the submit button, a Permanent Registration ID is generated which can be used for Renewal and tracking the status of the application.
  • Renewal: Renewal Students have to apply with their Application Id and Date of Birth which they registered in the previous year. Students can also use Forgot Application ID to retrieve their ID. Only those students would be able to Renew who had actually got the scholarship payments last year from NSP 1.0.

The application period for each NSP scholarship may also vary accordingly. The applications for centrally funded scholarships generally start in the month of August and continue till November. However, there is no specific timeline for state scholarships. Please refer to the list of scholarships to know their respective application period.

Question 11.
Is Aadhaar a mandatory requirement for all NSP scholarships?

Answer:
No, Aadhaar number is not a mandatory requirement to apply for any NSP scholarship. If the students do not have an Aadhaar number, they can still apply for the scholarships by providing the Aadhaar enrollment id.

IAFBA Scholarship 2023: The executive committee of the Indian Air Force Benevolent Association (IAFBA) administers and manages Merit-Based Scholarships for Air Force Personnel. The scholarship is provided on a yearly basis. Children of air force personnel (Serving, Retired & Deceased) can apply for this scholarship. This scholarship is applicable for students studying in Class 6th to postgraduate level. The objective behind offering this scholarship is to financially support the IAF children in completing higher education. IAFBA also awards the scholarship to the school/college going children of serving IAF personnel who excel in sports on the recommendation of AFSCB.

Steps to be followed by the students to apply for this scholarship are as follows:

IAFBA Scholarship General Instructions

  1. Subroto Memorial Scholarship Schemes (SMSS) is managed and administered by the Executive Committee of the IAF Benevolent Association.
  2. The application form duly completed in all respects is to be sent to the Secretary, IAF Benevolent Association, AFGIS Bhavan, Subroto Park, New Delhi – 110010 so as to reach this office by 30 Sep (R) 30 Sep. However, application for Professional courses only can be submitted up to 31 Oct (R) 31 Oct each year. (This form is not to be used for CONTINUATION cases)
  3. Incomplete applications or applications received after the due date will not be considered. No intimation in this regard will be made. The candidate is not entitled to a scholarship if he/she is already in receipt of any other scholarship.
  4. Any point for clarification that may arise is to be referred to the Secretary of the IAF Benevolent Association. The decision of the Executive Committee on the award of the scholarship will be final.
  5. In case the child is applying for 1st year of scholarship i.e. class XI, 1st year of Graduation courses,1st year of Masters’s courses, he has to submit an attested copy of the mark sheet of Base Class i.e. X, XII, Graduation respectively as the case may be. Similarly, if the child is applying for a scholarship in 2nd year or thereafter, he has to submit attested copies of the mark sheet of the base class and all the classes/Semesters he has passed after base class. The minimum criteria for applying for SMSS is 60% in all classes/semesters.
  6. Continuation of the scholarship will be made at the end of each year on receipt of attested copy of mark sheet, acknowledgment from the parent and certificate from School/College showing that the student is not in receipt of any other scholarship or stipend. Receipt/Acknowledgement and Certificate can be downloaded from SL No. 31 of Downloads on the IAFBA website at AF Net and also available on the internet.
  7. The scholarship will be credited every year in January/February to the bank account of the student by NEFT. Mobile No. and Bank details of the student is to be filled in the form at Sl.No.10 & 11 of Pt-I (Mandatory). Copy of Bank Pass Book / canceled cheque of the student to be attached.
  8. Children of deceased/retired AF personnel are eligible to apply only if parents are in receipt of a pension.
  9. The child should be a regular student in a school/college/institution recognized by the Central/State Board or University.
  10. A child should secure a minimum of 60% for the continuation of the scholarship.
  11. The category of applicants i.e. (serving, Retired, Deceased) will be determined as per category on 01 Oct every year.
  12. If no intimation received by the applicant it is construed that he/ she has not come into the merit list.
  13. Merit List will be published on IAFBA webpages under the ‘HR Initiative’ link of www.indianairforce.nic.in (Civil Network) and on www.iafba.iaf.in (AFNET) after the finalization of the scholarship board.

Sahapedia Fellowship Eligibility

  • The fellowship is open to post-graduates and above qualified in the regulations of the Humanities and Social Sciences in the most comprehensive sense, or those with equivalent experience.
  • Applicants with previous professional or academic familiarity with the topic under application may be given preference.
  • The Fellowship is available to only those applicants holding an Indian bank account.
  • Applicants who were granted the Sahapedia-UNESCO Fellowship earlier are not eligible to apply.

Sahapedia Fellowship Duration

Fellowship has to be performed in the time-frame of twenty-eight (28) weeks between 1 September 2020 and 15 March 2021. Failure to submit the Fellowship specifications within the specified timeframe will result in the cancelation of that Fellowship.

Sahapedia Fellowship Benefits

  • Selected candidates will be given an award of ₹44,445.
  • Applicable Income Tax will be deducted at source as per the provisions of the Income Tax Act, 1961. Thus, the award will amount to ₹40,000which will be released in three installments, based on the completion of specific deliverables.
  • Selected candidates working in regional languages will receive an additional sum of up to ₹10,000 for translation.

Sahapedia Fellowship Deliverables

Fellowships are classified into research, documentation, or a combination of the two categories. Depending on their selection of a category, applicants may select their deliverables from the list given below. Every deliverable must be supported with a list of resources. Each Fellowship consists of three elective deliverables. The candidate may identify, during the time of application, three types of deliverables.

Deliverable I: (Pick one) 

  1. Illustrated overview/ introductory article (3000 words with 5–10 images), or
  2. Short documentary film (15–20 minutes with English subtitles, along with a synopsis of approximately 500 words)

Deliverable II & III: (Pick any two) 

  1. Allied article (1500 words with 3-5 images), or
  2. Image gallery (30-50 images with captions), or Photo essay (20 images with captions and a short essay of about 500-800 words to complement the visual narrative)
  3. Text interview with an expert/scholar/practitioner (1500 words, with minimum 10 Q&As).

In addition, selected candidates working in regional languages will be required to provide content translated into English.

  1. Articles with translations.
  2. Transcripts and subtitles in English for documentaries.
  3. Translation for text-based interviews

Sahapedia Fellowship Application Procedure

The first step of the process would involve the submission of:

  1. Resume
  2. Proposal of approximately 1000 words, along with an abstract of about 250 words. The proposal should indicate the scope of work, including a selection of deliverables, methodology, timeframe and familiarity with existing literature/work on the subject. The proposal should be relevant to Sahapedia’s field of work.
  3. Writing sample, a previously written essay or research paper of at least 1500 words, or a URL link of a 5-10 minute long video clip indicating the candidates’ skills in filmmaking/videography (for documentation); or both, depending on the selection of deliverables.
  4. Bibliography list of existing literature or work on the topic. No more than 15 items/titles are expected.

Sahapedia Fellowship Selection Procedure

Selection Criteria for Sahapedia-UNESCO Fellowship is based on:

  • The language of the proposal and writing sample submitted by the candidate.
  • Assessment of sample videos based on-camera work, visuals and narrative skills.
  • The understanding of sources, completeness, and range of references submitted.
  • Clarity with regards to the purpose of the project.
  • Clarity with regards to the deliverables chosen for the project.
  • The coherence of the entire proposal and area of study.
  • The subject of the research and its relevance.

Sahapedia Fellowship Terms and Conditions

  • Selected candidates are required to complete the Fellowship Project within 28 weeks i.e. from 1 September 2020 to 15 March 2021.
  • The fellowship is classified namely, research, documentation or combination of both.
  • Depending on the classification chosen by the fellows, they have to choose their deliverables as specified.
  • Every deliverable must be supported with a list of resources.
  • The key deliverables for the research category include –
  • Introductory article/illustrated overview in about 3,000 words with 5 to 10 images, OR
  • A short documentary film of 15 to 20 minutes with English subtitles and synopsis of approximately 500 words

Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to apply for RGNF

  • Candidate must belong to SC and ST categories.
  • The candidate should have passed the postgraduate examination.
  • Candidates must be registered themselves for full-time M.Phil/Ph.D. degrees.
  • Candidates register as regular students in University/Institute/Colleges recognized by UGC under Section 2 (f) of the UGC Act/ICAR.
  • Candidate belongs to the transgender category are also eligible.

Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship Selection Process

The Selections for RGNF made on the basis of merit and as per the procedures of the Commission. The Commission scrutinizes and selects the received applications. The final selection depends on the decision of the Commission. The Commission has the right to withdraw/cancel the award without conveying any reason.

After these formalities, the candidates Joining Report will be duly signed by the supervisor/head of the department. Then, it will be sent to the UGC through the Registrar/ Director/ Principal. The first-year admissible grant releases on receipt of the Joining Report and other required documents. Otherwise, the concerned university will be informed to release the grant.

This grant releases from the funds which have sanctioned for this purpose by the Commission. Thereon, the fellows may get the amount from the institutions/bank after getting the UGC approval/award letter. Also, other expenses from the grants paid by the Commission in conformity with the rules. The payment of the fellowships will be transferred directly into the bank account of the beneficiaries.

Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship Terms and Conditions

  • The duration of the RGNF scheme is initially two years.
  • The work of the Fellow will be evaluated by a Committee of three members before the completion of this duration. These three committee members are the Head of the Department, Supervisor and one external subject expert. These members are to be constituted by the concerned Department/ University/ College.
  • The tenure will be extended further based on the research work satisfaction. If the work is satisfactory, then tenure will be extended for 3 more years.
  • The tenure will be extended under the enhanced emoluments of the Rajiv Gandhi National Senior Research Fellowship (RGNSRF).
  • The recommendation of the Committee for upgrading the level of RGNSRF will be submitted to the UGC.
  • The work status and the time spent on fellowships of any agency other than the UGC will not be accepted. The fellowship information from UGC only considers improving the value of fellowship.
  • The fellowship may be withdrawn in case of dissatisfaction with the work. Also, if the candidate fails in any of the examinations related to Ph.D.
  • In case the work for the first two years is not satisfied, an extra year will be given to a candidate for improvement.
  • In this duration, the candidate will be designated as Rajiv Gandhi National Junior Research Fellow (RGNJRF).
  • Again the work will be evaluated after completion of 2nd year of the tenure.
  • If found any improvement, then the Fellow will get two more years under the RGNSRF.
  • So, the total period of fellowship (RGNJRF and RGNSRF) is for five years, with no more provision of extension.

Yashad Sumedha Scholarship 2023: Sumedha Scholarship is an initiative of Sumedha, a non-profit society registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1958. Its primary objective is to assist meritorious students from economically weaker sections of society to complete their education.

Sumedha Scholarship is formally called the Yashad-Sumedha Scholarship. The society partnered with Hindustan Zinc Limited to introduce the scholarship. The scholarship is primarily targeted for students pursuing their first-semester B.Tech (2023).

Sumedha Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must ensure that they fulfill the following criteria to be deemed eligible to avail of the Yashad-Sumedha Scholarship.

The Central Sector Scholarship Scheme is offered to meritorious students of College and University which aims to provide financial support to those scholars who come from low-income group families.   • Candidates applying from NSP for the first time required to register with the National scholarship portal Registration as a new user.
  • Fill in all the necessary information and click on ‘Register’ to get enrolled. The candidate’s application ID and password are sent on the registered mobile number.
  • The candidates need to log in to the NSP website using the recently generated ID and password. An OTP is sent on the registered mobile number using which the applicant must replace his/her password.
  • Once the password is modified, the applicants are directed to the Applicant’s Dashboard Page, where they need to click on ‘Application form’ to begin the application process.
  • The candidates need to give all the required details such as registration details, academic details, basic details, contact details and scheme chose.
  • All the required documents in support of identity and academic eligibility must be uploaded by the applicants.
  • Now, the filled-in application form must be saved as a draft so that the applicant can check every detail once again to make sure they are correct.

Central Sector Scholarship Renewal Form

The scholarship is renewed every year up to Post Graduate level in the same stream. For all professional courses, the scholarship will be renewed until Graduation level. For all the courses the scholarship would be renewed up to a maximum of five (5) years. The renewal of the scholarship is further subject to the student meeting the following criteria:-

  • Secured 60% or more marks for the two preceding semesters or annual examination which determines his/her promotion to the next class
  • Maintenance of attendance of at least 75% by the scholars and
  • Maintenance of discipline i.e. the scholars should not have been involved in any ragging activities.

Class 12th pass out students of the academic year 2008 to 2014, are required to apply directly to respective State Education Boards/CBSE and submit their renewal application form duly certified from their respective institutions. The renewal of the scholarship is subject to the student has scored 60 % or more marks in the previous exam, having 75 % attendance and not involved in ragging activities. Renewal applications directly sent to the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Higher Education, National Scholarship Division would NOT be entertained.

Eligible Courses

The Eligibility Criteria for PMSS Courses are as Under

  • First Professional Degree Courses like BE, B Tech, BDS, MBBS, BEd, BBA, BCA, B Pharma, etc. duly recognized by the respective Government Regulatory Bodies, such as All India Council for Technical Education, Medical Council of India, UGC, etc.
  • Master Degree Courses are not eligible for PMSS except MBA / Management / MCA Courses.

Minimum Eligible Marks in MEQ

Minimum Educational Qualification (MEQ) for entry to various professional courses differs e.g. for MBBS it is 10+2 whereas for BE/B Tech it is 10+2 / Diploma, It is graduation for B.Ed and MBA. A candidate must have minimum of 60% marks in MEQ to apply for PM Scholarship Scheme. All subjects will be taken for a calculation of 60% marks and not out of the best subjects.

NEST Scholarship 2023: Every year SEMCI INDIA conducts the Nationwide Education and Scholarship Test (NEST) in the month of January at their test centers in all major cities in India. The aim of carrying out a series of such periodic tests is to stimulate the interest of students in the pursuit of accurate knowledge and to prepare them for competitive skills such as CAT, GATE, GRE, TOEFL, and various other tests for admission to higher education in good institutes as well as for employment in reputable companies. Only bonafide students enrolled in colleges will be eligible for this scholarship for examinations in 2023. Class 12 Science students may also qualify for the NEST I test.

26th NEST Scholarship 2023

The NEST (National Entrance Screening Test) is a compulsory 5-year Integrated M.Sc. admission test. Basic Science System–Genetics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics–at the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and Mumbai University–Department of the Center for Atomic Energy Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CBS), Mumbai. Both NISER and CBS are autonomous institutions established in 2007 by the Indian government’s Department of Atomic Energy (DAE).

Both institutes have started with a mandate to provide high-quality training in basic sciences to the staff of outstanding scientists in a lively research environment and to build up a national pool of scientists ready to face up to scientific problems at the frontiers of basic and applied sciences.

NEST Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the NEST exam should have been finalized as follows:

  • Applicants should be a Class XII science pass out from a recognized board in India with a minimum of 60 % aggregate marks. (55 percent of members in the SC/PwD category) Class XII should have passed either in 2017 or 2018.
  • Candidates who took part in their Class XII examinations in 2019 are also eligible to apply.
  • Applicants are required to learn a mixture of three subjects – Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics in Classes XI and XII.

NEST 1: The 1st and 2nd-year students of Engineering, MBBS/BAMS/BHMS/BUMS/BDS, BCA and B.Sc all, 12th Science, Diploma Engineering (only final year students)

NEST 2: The 3rd and 4th-year students of Engineering, MBBS/BHMS/BAMS/BUMS/BDS, BCA, and B.Sc. This includes only computers and IT.

Age Criteria

Applicants of the General and OBC categories should be born on or after August 1, 1999, in order to meet the NEST eligibility criteria. The age limit of five years is granted to candidates in the SC/ST/PwD class.

Applicants of the OBC category, the OBC (NCL) certificate should be issued on or after 1 June 2022.

AICTE Pragati Scholarships 2023-24: Pragati Scholarship is an MHRD Scheme being implemented by AICTE striving at assisting the Advancement of Girls pursuing Technical Education. Pragati Scholarship Benefits and Rewards

  • The AICTE Pragati Scholarship rewards a total of 4000 scholarships to girl students, in which 2000 scholarships are given to students pursuing diplomas and 2000 to degree students.
  • The selected scholars will receive a tuition fee of INR 30,000 or the actual tuition fee amount, whichever is less.
  • The selected scholars also become eligible to get INR 2000 per month for 10 months as incidental charges each year.

Important Instructions for Pragati Scholarship

  • Only the scholars who have taken admission in the first year of their degree/diploma program in the current academic year can apply for this scholarship.
  • The scanned copies of the applicant’s passport size photo and signature must be uploaded in .jpg/.pdf/.png format while filling the application form. The file size of the photo should not be more than 200 kb and the signature should not be more than 50kb.
  • Students who got admission through management quota are not eligible for the AICTE Pragati Scholarship.
  • Candidates must have a general savings account of their own in a bank. They cannot use the FRILL/Minor/Joint account.
  • Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) is used to directly transfer the scholarship amount into the selected candidate’s bank account.

Medhavi Scholarship 2023-2024: What is Medhavi Scholarship? Medhavi National Scholarship Program is a digital test, a step towards the Digital India program. It decreases the processing time of the tests and aims to offer scholarships more easily for meritorious candidates. There will be a minimum of 1405 scholarships. Anant Scholarship Selection Procedure

The selection process involves the following processes:

  • Anant Education Initiative selects deserving candidates from its pool of applicants
  • Special preferences are given to deserving physically handicapped students.
  • Anant’s call center initiates them for interviews
  • Selected students will complete banking formalities, with the Initiative opening an individual bank account for each student
  • The scholarship amount will then be disbursed to these accounts.

UGC Scholarship Eligibility

Each UGC scholarship has its defined set of eligibility criteria to be fulfilled by the students that majorly centers around the age of the students, educational qualification and the annual income of the family. Also, there are some category-specific scholarships too, that are being offered by UGC for students belonging to SC, ST or OBC categories. Post Graduate Indira Gandhi Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child (All Categories)

  • Girl students up to the age of 30 years at the time of admission in PG courses are eligible.
  • The candidate should be the only girl child of the family.
  • The scheme is applicable to such a single girl child who has taken admitted in regular, full-time 1st year Masters Degree course in any approved university or a post-graduate college.

Post Graduate Merit Scholarship for University Rank Holder (All Categories)

  • The scholars who have completed their graduation in the following subjects can apply:

  • The minimum percentage required by the student to graduate is 60%.

Post Graduate Scholarships for Professional Courses for SC/ST Candidates

  • The scholarship is available for students who are seeking the first year of the professional program at the PG level during the current year from a known university/institution.
  • The programs approved by guiding regulatory organizations like MCI, NCTE, Bar Council of India, PCI, AICTE, Development Authority of India, NCTIS, RCI, DCI, Forensic Regulatory, INC, and ICAR are regarded as professional courses for which the scholarship is relevant.

Special Scholarship Scheme Ishan Uday for NER

  • The scholarship is available for students who are domiciled in the North Eastern Region (NER) state and who have passed their class 12th or equivalent examination.
  • The student must have acquired admission in a technical, professional, or general degree course from an identified institute/college/university.
  • The annual income of the family should not be more than Rs.4.5 Lakh.

Swami Vivekananda Single Girl Child Scholarship for Research in Social Sciences (All categories)

  • The scholarship is open for only a girl child of a family.
  • The candidate must be pursuing a regular, full-time Ph.D. program in Social Sciences from a  known Indian University/ College.
  • The age limit for general category candidates is 40 years and 45 years for SC/ST/OBC and PwD.
  • Candidates who are pursuing their Ph.D. through distance learning are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.
  • The scholarship is also available for transgender candidates.

Emeritus Fellowship (All categories)

  • The fellowship is available to highly qualified, antiquated, and trained teachers of recognized institutions/colleges/ universities.
  • The candidate must have given their service career with quality research and distributed work.
  • The fellowship gives the rewarded candidate, the to serve with a well-defined time-bound action plan until the age of 70 years.

Dr.S.Radharkrishnan Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Humanities and Social Sciences (All categories)

The fellowship is available for unemployed young researchers, aged below 35 years before the deadline online application submission. (Relaxation of 5 years is given for SC, ST, OBC, PwD, and Women candidates).

  • The minimum percentage marks to be secured by general category scholars at the UG level is 55% marks and at PG level is 60% marks. (For reserved classes including SC, ST, OBC, and PwD, a relaxation of 5% is available).
  • The fellowship is also available for transgender candidates.

Dr.D.S.Kothari Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme (All categories)

  • The fellowship is available for applicants below 35 years of age who hold a Ph.D. degree under the science faculty. (Note: A relaxation of up to 3, 5, and 10 years will be given to SC, ST, OBC, Women, and PwD candidates).
  • Teachers, who are working on a confirmed post and are below 35 years of age can also apply.
  • The previous applicants of the fellowship can also apply if they were declared unsuccessful.

Post-Doctoral Fellowship to Women Candidates (All Categories)

  • The fellowship is applicable to women candidates only who are unemployed and hold a Ph.D. degree.
  • The age of the applicant should not be more than 55 years (Note: A relaxation of 5 years in age is given to SC, ST, OBC, and PWD candidates).
  • The minimum percentage of marks obtained by general category applicants at the UG level is 55% and at the PG level is 60% (Note: A relaxation of 5% in the minimum percentage of marks is given to SC, ST, OBC, and PwD candidates).
  • Transgender candidates can also apply for this scheme.

Post-Doctoral Fellowship to SC/ST Candidates

  • The fellowship is open for unemployed candidates who have a Ph.D. degree in the relevant subject.
  • The maximum age limit for male applicants is 50 years while for female applicants it is 55 years.
  • The applicants should have scored 50% marks at the UG level and 55% marks at the PG level.
  • Transgender candidates can also apply.

National Fellowship for Scheduled Caste (SC) Students

  • The students who have passed their postgraduation examination and have registered for an M.Phil./Ph.D. course can apply for this fellowship.
  • The fellowship is open for transgender candidates.

National Fellowship for Higher Education of ST Students

  • Students having a postgraduate degree are eligible for the fellowship.
  • The applicant must be registered in a full-time regular M.Phil./Ph.D. course at a university/college/institution recognized by UGC.

National Fellowship for Persons with Disabilities

  • The fellowship is open for students with disabilities who have been enrolled in a Ph.D./MPhil program at a University or academic institution.

Maulana Azad National Fellowship for Minority Students

  • The fellowship is applicable to students belonging to minority communities i.e. Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsi, and Jain.

GATE Scholarship 2023-24: AICTE GATE scholarship is a scholarship provided for candidates with sufficiently high GATE scores. Primarily meant for M.Tech students, the scholarship is awarded on a semester basis for up to two years. For Ph.D. students, the scholarship is extended to a maximum of 5 years. The scholarship is provided and regulated by the All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD).

The monthly stipend for M.Tech students amounts up to INR 12,400 per month for 8 hours of work per week. For Ph.D. students, the scholarship amount has been raised to INR 25,000 per month. GATE Scholarship Application Process

Provided that the candidates fulfill all eligibility criteria, the application process involves uploading certain documents onto the official website at http://www.aicte-india.org/schemes/students-development-schemes/PG-Scholarship-Scheme

  • Step 1: Get the institute ID and student ID from the institute.
  • Step 2: Now Provide the necessary details to validate student ID.
  • Step 3: Fill in the application form for PG Scholarship GATE/GPAT.
  • Step 4: Upload the required documents to the portal in PDF format only.
  • Step 5: Click on “Submit Application” after completing all the steps.

Note: Institution shall have to complete the student’s data verification before 30th September 2022.

GATE Scholarship – Important Guidelines & Eligibility Criteria

Gate scholarship scheme is meant to provide financial support for students who have qualified GATE/ GPAT and are admitted to AICTE approved programs such as Master of Engineering, Master of Architecture, Master of Technology, and Master of Pharmacy at AICTE approved institutions.

  • The scholarship is eligible to students who are admitted in any of the aforementioned courses with a valid GPAT or GATE score at the time of admission. Students qualifying the above exams AFTER the date of admission are not eligible for the scholarship.
  • Candidates pursuing part-time courses are not eligible for GATE scholarship.
  • Candidates receiving the scholarship are subjected to a condition that they do not receive any other financial aids in the form of other scholarships, stipend, salary or any other emoluments from another source during the course of their study.
  • GATE scholarships are not applicable to foreign students, candidates admitted through management quota and sponsored candidates.
  • Every PG student must undertake 8 – 10 hours of work per week related to research activities, teaching or any other activities assigned by the student’s respective institute.
  • The scholarship is awarded on a monthly basis subject to academic performance & adherence to the university rules.
  • Students who are taking admission for the second time (for requalifying GATE or GPAT exams) and have availed the scholarship from AICTE or other centrally funded institutions are not eligible for the GATE scholarship.
  • The tenure of the scholarship is 24 months, or the duration of the course – from the date of commencement of classes to the date of completion of the classes, whichever is lower. The tenure of the scholarship cannot be extended in any case.
  • The student will be required to provide an undertaking stating that they will not abandon the course midway. In case a student leaves the course midway, they will be required to refund the amount of the scholarship drawn at till the time of leaving the course.
  • The scholarship may be discontinued if the student is found to have indulged in any malpractice, misbehavior or ragging.
  • Bank account name and the candidates’ name should be identical
  • Joint accounts are not entertained
  • Students must possess a general savings account. (No frills/ minor account will be rejected)
  •  IF authentic certificates relating to caste/ physical handicap are not provided by students belonging to SC/ST/OBC and physically handicapped candidates, they will not be eligible for GATE scholarship.

GATE Fellowship for Ph.D./M.Tech
