OBC Scholarship 2023-2024: OBC scholarships are awarded to students belonging to the OBC category (Other Backward Class). It is primarily aimed at providing better educational opportunities and financial assistance for economically backward, but meritorious students. Central Sector Scheme for National Overseas

Central Sector Scheme for National Overseas is an OBC scholarship for candidates who wish to pursue a master’s degree or a Ph.D. program in a foreign university. The fields of study range from professional courses such as medicine and engineering to management and agriculture. Annually, 25 scholarships are provided per subject, and 30% of those are alloted to female candidates.

Candidates pursuing their masters are offered a 3-year fellowship while Ph.D. candidates are offered, 4-year fellowship. Additional benefits include visa fee reimbursement, airfare, allowance for local travel and incidence journey allowance.
Eligibility Criteria for Central Sector Scheme for National Overseas

  • Candidates pursuing their Ph.D. or masters are eligible to apply

OBC Scholarship Application Procedure

  • Candidates are required to obtain an application form from the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India.
  • Fill in the required details and attach relevant documents mentioned in the application.
  • Send it back to the Ministry after completing all required processes. Employed candidates are required to send the application form through their employers. Such candidates are also required to attach their tax assessment details and salary slip.

Selection Procedure: The candidates will be selected after careful analysis by a selection committee formed by the ministry. Preference will be given to candidates who have already procured admission to a foreign institution.

Merit Scholarship for OBC Students – Delhi

Merit Scholarship for OBC Students is an OBC scholarship available to students pursuing their class 6th to class 12th. The scholarship is also available for students pursuing professional courses such as medicine or engineering. Students pursuing technical courses are awarded a maximum amount of INR 1620 per month and up to INR 4500 per year for other courses.

Application Procedure

  • Candidates need to visit e-District Delhi and fill in the required details. The process is done entirely online as no offline application form exists.
  • Relevant documents, such as income certificate, caste certificate, bank passbook (copy), fee receipt, passport sized photo, and Aadhar card are to be uploaded.

National Fellowship for OBC

National fellowship for OBC is a scholarship that falls under the purview of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. It aims to provide financial assistance to OBC students who wish to pursue advanced degrees and courses. A total of 300 scholarships are available for JRF (Junior Research Fellow) and SRF (Senior Research Fellow). The scheme is applicable to all universities that are recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The duration of the scholarship for JRF is two years, however, candidates can continue availing the scholarship as SRF for 3 additional years, provided that the research is progressive.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must belong to the OBC category with documents to support the same
  • Total family income from all sources should not be over INR 6,00,000
  • Must have completed post-graduation
  • Transgender candidates are eligible to apply. Reservation shall be provided as per the norms laid out by the Government of India.
  • Candidates who are already registered for Ph.D./ MPhil are eligible for the award of the fellowship.
  • Selection is made based on the merit of the candidate.

Application Procedure

  • Candidates are required to visit the official UGC website and check the relevant links to apply for the scholarship

ONGC Scholarship

ONGC (Oil and Natural Gas Corporation) provides 1000 scholarships to candidates from OBC category. The scholarship is applicable for OBC students pursuing their first-year graduate or postgraduate courses. Successful candidates will be awarded an allowance of INR 4,000 per month for the duration of the course.

Eligibility

  • Candidates must be pursuing their 1st year in professional courses such as engineering or medicine.
  • Candidates pursuing an MBA are also eligible.
  • Candidates pursuing a master’s in Geophysics or Geology are eligible as well.
  • Candidates must have secured not less than 60% marks in their class 12.
  • The courses the candidates opt for must be recognized by the AICTE
  • The upper age limit should be under 30 years of age.

Post-Matric Scholarship

Post matric scholarship aims to provide financial aid to students from the OBC category and other backward classes to complete post-secondary education. This scholarship is overseen by the State and Union Territories in India. Moreover, students are not tied down to a single state. What this means is, a student belonging to one state, but pursuing a course in another state is still eligible to be awarded a scholarship by the respective authority in the same state. The scholarship award varies on the type of course (day scholar or hosteller).

Eligibility: Primarily eligibility criteria are that students have to be from the OBC category. Other eligibility criteria vary according to the respective state.

Pre-Matric Scholarship

Pre-matric Scholarship is provided to students belonging to OBC pursuing pre-matric in government schools or recognized private schools. The students are awarded a stipend up to INR 500 per month.

Eligibility: The annual family income of the candidate must not exceed INR 2,50,000 per annum.

CCRT Scholarship 2023-24: CCRT Scholarship is provided by the Centre for Cultural Resources And Training. It is primarily aimed to provide financial assistance to children between the ages of 10 – 14  with exceptional talent in various fine arts such as music, drama, dance, crafts, sculpture, painting, and literary arts. The scholarship also provides a special emphasis on rare forms of art that are going extinct.

The CCRT scholarship is also known as the Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme (CTSSS). A scholarship for fine arts empowers children to take up various art forms and uphold the traditional practices passed down over generations. This means rare and dying forms of art may get a chance for revival. Read on to explore the available slots, scholarship amount, and other important details. CCRT Scholarship Slots

Annually, 650 CCRT scholarships will be awarded, out of which:

  • 100 are reserved for children falling under the Scheduled Tribes (ST) and possess a valid ST certificate.
  • 125 more scholarships are reserved for children hailing from families who practiced traditional arts for at least three previous generations.
  • 20 scholarships are reserved for differently-abled children.
  • 30 for children practicing creative writing/ literary arts (provided they have evidence of the original work).
  • The remaining 375 scholarships are open to the general public.

CCRT Scholarship Award Details

  • The value of the scholarship is INR 3600 per annum.
  • The tuition fee paid for the specialized training to the instructor/ guru or the institution is also reimbursed to the candidates – subject to a limit of INR 9,000 per year.

The scholarship amount will be credited to the bank account of the authorized parent or guardian. The mode of payment will be either through NEFT/RTGS or ECS.  It will commence from the date of admission of the applicant or the date specified by CCRT. The parent or guardian is solely responsible for payment of the tuition fee to the institution or instructor.

The duration of the CCRT scholarship is 2 years and is depending on the age of 20 years or 1st-year degree which is earlier.

CCRT Scholarship Duration

The scholarship will be awarded for a duration of two years and is renewable every two years up to the age of 20 or until the completion of the first university degree stage – whichever comes first.

An important point to note is that if the candidate does not submit their half-yearly progress report, the scholarship is subject to cancellation without any prior notice. The payment of the scholarship will start from the date specified by the CCRT, the date of admission in an approved course or with the approved instructor/ guru, whichever is later.

The application window begins in December and concludes in January every year. However, dates are subject to change at the convenience of the authoritative body.

CCRT Scholarship Application Procedure

The application must be submitted by the parents or guardians in the prescribed format. The application should be made only for ONE of the art forms; after getting the required recommendations from the institution and instructor where the candidate is studying and receiving training.

The application process is as follows:

  • Download the CCRT Application Form 2023-24 from http://www.ccrtindia.gov.in/
  • It can also be collected for free from the office of CCRT in New Delhi or Regional Offices at Hyderabad, Guwahati and Udaipur.
  • Take a print out and fill in all the relevant fields
  • Attach the prescribed documents, such as caste certificate and proficiency certificates, income certificate along with the application.

CCRT Scholarship Selection Process

The selection of candidates will be made by the Central Selection Committee. Only the selected candidates will be informed about their candidature by post and notified of the timings, dates, and venue for the interviews or tests. The selection process will be conducted at the regional level from May 2023 (tentative). The candidates will be assessed on a scale of 1 to 10 by each committee member. The scholarships are awarded purely on the basis of merit. The selection will be strictly on the basis of merit of the applicant and the availability of scholarships in the respective academic year.

CCRT Scholarship Progress Reports

CCRT requires progress reports to be sent every 6 months, failing which, the scholarship can be cancelled without any prior notice to the candidates. The progress report must be sent in the prescribed format and during the following time frames:

  • January to June – Progress report should be received by 15th July.
  • July to December – Progress report must be received by 15th January.

CCRT Scholarship Information and Conditions

  • Candidates applying under the TAF category should provide a write-up mentioning at least 3 respective generations.
  • Progress report for the first of the year from the month of January till June should be received by the 15th of July and the progress report for the second half of the year from the month of July to December.
  • A scholar selected through the CCRT scholarship shall not receive any other scholarship or stipend in the same or related art form without getting prior approval from the CCRT.
  • There is no state quota has been reserved for CCRT Scholarship.
  • Various forms are required to be submitted by the applicants in strictly prescribed proformas. Forms are available for Scholarship holders to be downloaded from a folder called Annexures on the official website of CCRT.

Aditya Birla Scholarship Selection Process

Refer to the below-listed selection process for the Aditya Birla Scholarship.

  • 160 students from the IITs/ BITS (Pilani), 180 students from the IIMs/ XLRI, and 100 students from law campuses will be evaluated as per the information mentioned in the application form.
  • Students will be evaluated to select for the next round based on their overall achievements on both sides of academic and co-curricular excellence.
  • Then, the panel will review the essays written by these students to select them for the final round.
  • The selected students will be invited for an interview which will be held in Mumbai. In this interview, the best 16 students each from Engineering and Management and 8 from Law will be determined.
  • These selected students will be named ‘Aditya Birla Scholars’. Shortlisted students will be provided with travel reimbursement, accommodation, and a token allowance.
  • A well-known panel of luminaries and academicians will conduct the interviews.
  • Shortlisted students must bring all the supporting documents such as photocopies of mark sheets, certificates, etc.
  • Aditya Birla Scholars will be awarded the scholarship amount. This is administered by the Deans or Directors of the institutes.
  • The scholarship amount will be given through cheques directly to their office.
  • The scholarships are valid in continued performance for the course. As the scholarship, the result is declared only in September. So, the institute will refund the amount which has already been paid by the students.
  • The Scholars performance will be monitored thoroughly for the renewal of the scholarship every year.

On the basis of the average marks of all subjects, the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying test shall be determined. Regarding students, the number of marks received for all academic years of graduation shall be based on the maximum sum of marks for all subjects.

  • Reservation: For the candidates from the reserved categories, 49.5 percent of the scholarships will be reserved. Only those mentioned in the OBC database of Central Governments will be included in the OBC class. OBC candidates will have to submit against the general category under the state list but not listed in the Central Government list. The IndianOil Scholarship Program will also provide quotas for the girl students and the individual with disabilities.
  • Bonus Prize: A lump sum pay reward of Rs 10,000 will be awarded to those applicants who will be able to acquire a Top 10 in 10 and Top 3 in the Merit List Graduate-Post Graduate program.

>Haryana Post-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students: This scholarship offered to the OBC students pursuing post-matric classes under Govt of India. Samunnathi Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

Samunnathi Scholarship Coaching Assistance

  • This scholarship provides financial support to economically backward students from forwarding communities. Those students who are undertaking training for various competitive exams. These are Civil Service/Bank/PSC coaching, Medical/Engineering entrance coaching, etc.
  • An amount of Rs. 10,000 will be granted to 840 students of higher secondary. Also, granted to students who have already completed higher secondary in the past 2 years.
  • These students are eligible to apply for the medical/ engineering coaching assistance scheme.
  • A total of 700 educated people will get an amount of Rs. 6000 as financial aid. Those people should have acquired basic qualifications for the competitive exams of Bank, UPSC, and PSC.
  • Apart from this, the students who are preparing for the Civil Service exams will receive separate financial aid.
  • An amount of Rs. 15,000 will be granted for the Preliminary exams. An amount of Rs. 25,000 will be granted for the Main exams. Whereas an amount of Rs. 30,000 will be granted for the Interview.

Registration of the National Scholarship Portal involves students providing basic information such as state of residence, category of scholarship, student name, date of birth, bank details, identification details (either Aadhaar number or bank account number), etc. Once you are informed of the eligible scholarships and their deadlines, you can go on to enroll on the website. The following is a step-wise description of the registration and application of the national scholarship portal to facilitate the process for you.

  • Visit the National Portal of Scholarships.
  • Click to register on’ New Registration.’
  • Carefully read all the instructions and press’ Start.’
  • Provide all the details required.
  • Click on the button ‘ Register.’
  • The applicants must submit their registered mobile number with the student user ID and password (Note: keep it safe for future reference).

Moreover, if a student attains the rank of up to 10,000 in NEET or JEE Advanced, then also they are eligible for it. The scholarship is awarded to 10,000 students and the amount of Rs. 80,000 is granted every year through this scholarship.

INSPIRE Scholarship has three components that are categorized into the following:

  1. Scheme for Early Attraction of Talent (SEAT): The principal aim of the SEAT is to pull young minds to study science. Under this scheme, the recipients are given an INSPIRE Award of Rs. 5,000 each. This scholarship is given to about one million science practitioners between the age group of 10 to 15 years (Class 6th to Class 10th). This scheme also provides summer camps for over 50,000 science scholars of Class 11th who can interchange ideas and experience innovations through the INSPIRE Internship.
  1. Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE): This points to attract creative talents to engage higher education in science-intensive programs. Along with the scholarship, elected candidates are also given in-depth supervision and mentorship. The plan covers 10,000 scholarships for the age group of 17 to 22 years to grant B.Sc and M.Sc courses. The scholarship is worth Rs. 80,000 per annum.
  1. Assured Opportunity for Research Careers (AORC): This scholarship is for applicants between the age group of 22 to 27 years with an intention to extend the R&D foundation. It is sub-divided into two components. The first one is the INSPIRE Fellowship which offers 1000 fellowships every year to carry out research in the field of applied sciences. AICTE Pragati Scholarship for Girls

Applications for the AICTE Pragati scholarships start in the month of August/September every year and AICTE does not conduct any entrance test for the scholarship.

Foundation For Excellence (FFE) Scholarship

Commonwealth Scholarship 2023-24: Commonwealth Scholarship, also known as CSFP (Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan), is a scholarship offered by the governments of Commonwealth countries to their respective citizens. It is primarily aimed at providing extremely talented individuals from economically weaker sections of society with financial support and opportunities to excel in various fields.

Commonwealth Scholarship can be availed by Indian students to pursue higher education in three countries, namely: Singapore, the United Kingdom, and New Zealand. The scholarships are awarded annually by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission. However, in India, the scholarship is jointly overseen by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), the Government of India, the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), the British Council, and the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission.

Including India, there are 53 other countries from the Commonwealth. Many of these countries are still developing; hence, the Commonwealth Scholarship can be seen as an opportunity to pursue higher education, which would otherwise be prohibitively expensive and unfeasible.

Commonwealth Scholarship – Overview

Individuals that wish to pursue a Master’s degree under the Commonwealth Scholarship must submit their applications through a national nominating agency or select non-governmental institutions. The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission will not receive any applications not submitted through the said means. Furthermore, candidates are required to furnish other details for their application process, such as proof of citizenship or refugee status, transcripts detailing their educational qualifications and references from two individuals. For 2022, the application window has closed, and the next application period begins in October 2023 (Tentative).

Aspirants wishing to pursue higher education through Commonwealth Scholarships have two options

  • The applicant must be a resident of the Commonwealth, a refugee, or a BPP (British Protected Person)

  • Applicants who have studied abroad or stayed on their own for a period of six months are eligible to apply.

  • A supporting statement from a supervisor in the UK from any of the institutions mentioned in the application form. This statement has to be directly submitted by the supervisor.

  • The CSC invites three times the number of applications that it accepts.
  • No quotas are present for any specific countries.

Commonwealth Scholarship – Singapore

Aspirants that wish to pursue higher education through the Commonwealth Scholarships have the following options:

  • Candidates must have been offered admission to the full-time graduate research program at the National University of Singapore at the time of award of the scholarship.

Commonwealth Scholarship Benefits- Singapore

  • A monthly stipend of SGD 2,000 will be awarded to Ph.D. candidates. Master’s candidates will be awarded a monthly stipend of SGD 1,500.
  • Candidates will also receive the university tuition fees
  • Moreover, scholars will be eligible for an additional stipend of SGD 500 per month upon clearing the QE (Ph.D. Qualifying Examination). It is usually held 12 to 18 months after the candidate’s registration. The additional stipend can be renewed each semester for good academic performance. However, the tenure and amount of the additional stipend can vary between the institutions.

Note: The maximum tenure of the scholarship is two years for Masters and four years for Ph.D. candidates.

The application process is common in New Zealand, Singapore, and the United Kingdom.

Points to Note – New Zealand 

  • The scholarships will be awarded only to doctoral programs
  • Scholars may need to enroll in a bridging program, a preliminary course of study aimed at obtaining the necessary skills to pursue Ph.D. programs
  • Candidates cannot employ nor make other arrangements to stay during or immediately after the course in New Zealand.

Sanskrit Scholarship (SSE), Kerala The scholarship is open for students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate degree courses with Sanskrit as a subject.

JK Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the JK Scholarship, students have to fulfill certain requirements which essentially depend on their domicile, academic qualification, and family income. Know about the eligibility criteria which are necessary to be accomplished for this scholarship here.

  • Students should be State Subject (domicile) of J&K State
  • Students should have Passed 10+2 Exam from JKBOSE or CBSE affiliated schools located in J&K
  • Students should have Passed 10+3 Diploma from J&K State Polytechnic for admission directly in the second year in the prescribed list of Colleges against on the vacant seats of the previous year
  • Overall Family income of the student should not exceed Rs. 8.00 Lakh per annum

If a student is not eligible:

  • The students are persevering in their studies within open universities.
  • The students who are already undergoing financial assistance under this plan or any other scholarship scheme.
  • The students getting admission within the management quota.
  • The students who are persevering studies at the postgraduation level.
  • The students who have procured admission to a college other than the designated colleges.
  • The students getting admission within NGOs/Agents.
  • The students who have annual family earnings greater than INR 8 Lakh per annum.

JK Scholarship Application Procedure

Every year, AICTE welcomes online applications from eligible candidates on its official website. If candidates fulfill all the eligibility criteria for JK Scholarship Portal, they can apply for it, following the below steps:

  • Visit the AICTE JK Scholarship Login official website, www.aicte-jk-scholarship-gov.in.
  • Click on the registration button to apply for PMSSS.
  • Fill in all the necessary details.
  • Submit the JK Scholarship form.
  • On successful registration, candidates will receive an SMS/email on a registered mobile number/email for verification.
  • Click on the verification link to perform the registration process.
  • After the successful registration, candidates are required to log in via the AICTE JK Scholarship website.
  • Keep the scanned copies of all the supporting documents in jpg/png format with the file size not more than 2 MB.
  • Once logged in, read the brochure thoroughly, tick the declaration and click on the “Proceed Further” button.
  • Fill in all necessary details in the application form such as personal information, address, family income, educational details, etc.
  • Upload all supporting documents as particularized and preview the application form.
  • Provide the details of preferences and grievance centre details.
  • Finally, submit the application form by clicking on “Submit Application”.
  • After successful submission of application online, the candidates are required to get the print out of the application form and visit the facilitation center along with all supporting certificates in original for document verification.
  • Present the photocopies of all the certificates to the facilitation center at the time of verification.
  • Once the document verification is done, the candidates are required to assemble a copy of their document verification report.

  • Passport-sized photograph of the candidate (preferred size – 200 X 230 pixels)
  • Scanned signature of the candidate (preferred size – 140 X 60 pixels)
  • SSC/Class 10th mark sheet
  • Domicile/Day Scholar certificate issued by the government of J&K

  • Family income certificate issued by the Tehsildar or equivalent

The applicant is required to get their uploaded documents verified with the originals at the nearest Facilitation Centres set-up by Government of J&K and once it got verified and uploaded with stamp on portal of Facilitation Centres and then only choice filling window will be activated for only The choice filling window will be blocked on the last date, after that no change will be allowed in order of preference. JK Scholarship Selection Process

JK Scholarship conducted by AICTE is completely a merit-based scholarship that examines the marks obtained by students in class 12th for the selection. Apart from this, there are various other conditions on the basis of which choices are made for different streams. These conditions include

  • Only those students will be elected who have secured admission to a degree course after qualifying an entrance examination conducted by either the central government or state government.
  • For admission in MBBS or BDS courses, the candidates have to qualify for the NEET (CBSE) examination.
  • For admission in the Architecture course, the candidates need to qualify for the NATA examination conducted by the Council of Architecture.
  • Caste and category reservations are also available where 8% of the total seats in each stream are held for SC candidates, 11% reservation is for ST candidates, 25% reservation is for SEBC candidates and remaining seats are for General category students.

General Instructions To Candidates of JK Scholarship

  • The applicant should confidently ensure uploading of joining reports on the portal of AICTE on or before the last date of joining, which will be verified by the Institute, after which DBT application will be opened by the eligible candidates.
  • An applicant who will not upload their joining report on the portal of AICTE Student Login on or before the last date of joining, their seats under the scheme will be canceled automatically and will be allotted to the students in the next/subsequent rounds of counseling (if any).
  • Applicants are required to report for admission at designated University / Institution on the date particularized as per the counseling schedule along with the original documents/testimonials/ certificates required at the time of admission.
  • Nodal Officer may lead the applicant during his/her stay in the college campus.
  • Applicants are advised to visit the AICTE website for all PMSSS updates.
  • No fresh registrations shall be provided in next/subsequent rounds of counseling
  • Applicants must bring the original and one set of self-attested photocopies of the certificates at the time of reporting for final admission in allotted University / Institute.
  • The applicants are suggested to refer the fee structure and other details of the Institute before choosing the seat.

Is document verification at Facilitation Centre is necessary?

Answer:
Yes, without document verification at Facilitation Centre, the student is not eligible for Scholarship.

Who is eligible for Medical courses in JK Scholarship?

Answer:
For Medical Stream with Biology the candidate who seeks admission in any of the courses in Medical Stream (MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, etc.) on his/her own merit within the sanctioned intake in any of the institutions recognized by the respective Regulatory Bodies based on the merit at class 10+2 & after qualifying NEET examination. They also need to register during online registration.

Can we edit the application form after it is submitted online?

Answer:
Yes, Officer of the facilitation center can only edit the online application form, subject to the production of original documents in support of your claim/request for editing.

Step 1: Online Registration

The candidates are available to both UID based registration and non-UID based registration.

For UID Based Registration

  • Go to the MahaDBT Scholarship website at https://mahadbtmahait.gov.in/
  • Click on “New Applicant Registration”.
  • Click on “Yes” and enter Aadhaar number to proceed.
  • Authenticate student’s Aadhaar details either by using OTP (through linked mobile number) or by using Biometric (if the mobile number is not linked with Aadhaar)
  • Once, the Aadhaar details are authenticated, fill in all the required details on the registration form.
  • Create candidates login details (username and password)
  • Verify the candidate’s email ID and mobile number via OTP for successful registration.
  • Save all details and proceed.

For Non-UID based registration

  • Visit the MahaDBT gov in Scholarship Website.
  • Click on “New Applicant Registration”.
  • Click on “No” and register either by using the Aadhaar enrolment ID or by knowing the current status of candidates Aadhaar number.

  • Verify the candidate’s email ID and mobile number through OTP for successful registration.

  • Upload candidates photograph as specified and other supporting documents (identity proof, address proof and birth proof.

Step – 2: User Login Procedure

  • Once successfully registered, students can log in to the MahaDBT scholarship portal by clicking on “Applicant login”.
  • Enter candidates registered username and password to log in.
  • In case, students forget candidates’ password, students can click on the “Forget password” button to retrieve it.

Step – 3: Submission of Application Form

  • Once students have successfully logged in, students will be directed to the user dashboard.
  • Click on “Profile” to update the candidates’ profile.
  • If the candidate’s profile is 100% complete, students will get the list of suggested eligible scholarship schemes.
  • Select the scholarship student wants to apply for.
  • Click on the “Apply” button to proceed with the scholarship application.

Step – 4: Checking Application Status

  • Only for girl candidates.
  • A student who wants to take admission in 9th standard
  • The student should not have completed 16 years of age, as on 31st March of the year.
  • All girls who have passed the Middle Standard Examination from Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya irrespective of caste/religion are eligible for this scholarship.
  • The amount of incentive under this scheme is Rs 3,000/- and will be given in the shape of a Time Deposit.

Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for SC/ST Students (9th and 10th) CSS

  • Students of class 9th and 10th are eligible.
  • Only for SC/ST candidates
  • Parents’ or guardians’ annual income should not exceed 2.5 lacs.

  • BonafideHimachali Girl Students belonging to Balmiki Families, engaged in an unclean occupation, beyond Matric to College Level, for studies from any Govt. or Private Recognizedschool / college situated within Himachal Pradesh.
  • Scholarship of Rs 9,000/- p.a. is given.

IRDP Scholarship Scheme

Students belonging to IRDP families and studying in the 9th to University level are eligible for this scholarship provided they are pursuing their study in Govt. / Govt. Aided Institutions in H.P.

Sainik School Sujanpur Tihara Scholarship

The students who are studying in Sainik School SujanpurTihra and are Bonafide residents of Himachal Pradesh from class VI to XII.

Rashtriya Indian Military College Scholarship (Only for RIMC Dehradun)

  • This award is made to the Ten Students who are Bonafide residents of H.P. and are studying from VIII to XII in Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun. Two students from each class are eligible for the scholarship.
  • The amount of scholarship is Rs 20,000/- p.a.

NDA Scholarship Scheme (Only for NDA Khadakwasla)

Cadets of Himachal Pradesh, who are getting training at National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla, Pune.

  • Financial Assistance to the Children of the Armed Forces personnel killed/ disabled during the different war/ operations
  • Children of Armed Forces Personnel killed / disabled in the different wars /operations are eligible
  • In case of disability is below 50%, the children will get half scholarship.

Mukhya Mantri Gyandeep Yojana

  • All Those Students who Bonafide of the HP State pursuing Professional/Technical course and Higher Education Course from recognized Institutions in India.
  • Under this Scheme, the Interest subsidy is admissible from any Bank on Education loan availed up to the maximum of Rs. 10 (Ten lakh only) Interest subsidy to the extent of 4% p.a. on Education loan will be allowed.

Scholarships for PG/Degree and Engg Level and Diploma Courses

  • The Scholarship shall be awarded strictly according to merit to be determined with reference to (i) Income of parents or guardian and (ii) Marks obtained in the Examination / Class by virtue of which a candidate is eligible for admission provided the students have secured at least 60% of marks in the said exam. This condition will however not be applicable to the SC and ST Students.
  • The Scholarship shall be awarded only if the total income of the sources of parents or guardians is not more than Rs 36000/- p.a. For PG/Degree and Engg Level and Diploma Courses.
  • Scholarships @ Rs.250/- p.m. shall be awarded to the ITI students belonging to the SC, ST and OBC Categories and For General Category the value of Scholarship is @ Rs.100/- p.m.

HP ePASS Application Procedure

To apply for all the HP ePASS scholarships, students have to visit the official website and follow the registration procedure. A candidate can apply for up to 13 scholarships at a time. To know the complete details of the application process, follow the steps given below.

HP ePASS Application Process

  • Click on the “Apply Online” button below the Official login.
  • Read the Instructions carefully and Mark the checkbox at the end of the page certifying “I have read the Instructions. Proceed to Registration / Login Page.”
  • First-time users click on “Register”, which would take you to the “Student Registration Form”.
  • Enter your basic details (like AADHAARDetails (UID / EID), Name, Date of Birth, Father and Mother Name, Category, Mobile No. and email) on the form, match the Security Captcha, and click on “Register”. (Please note that either Mobile No. or email address would be mandatory, as the computer-generated Password would be sent through SMS / e-Mail on Registration).
  • Once registered, then enter your login details “Login Id/ AADHAAR and Password”, and click on “Login”.
  • After Login, the student needs to fill the various details in the following order:
    • Primary Details
    • Candidate Details
    • Present Institution Details
    • Contact Details
    • Bank Details
  • Certificates Details
    • The Student can edit / update or fill his form in parts, then take a printout of Online Application Form, and submit the same along with the Scheme Specific Document(s) to the respective Institution, within the stipulated time as mentioned in the Schedule above.
    • After the successful submission of his Online Application Form, it would be automatically forwarded to his Institute for verification.
    • After that, the Student can check the status of his online application, any time, by logging in at the ePass Website, and keep a track of all progress.

Note: As soon as the students submit the application online, the details will be automatically sent to his/her institute for verification. The students can review and check the status of their application by logging in to the HP ePASS Portal.

Documents Required To Apply for HP ePASS Scholarship

The documents that need to be associated while filling the application form at the HP ePASS website, differ according to the scheme chosen by the scholar. A general list of documents that a candidate needs to present in support of his/her application has been mentioned below.

  • A passport size photo
  • Birth certificate
  • Aadhar card number
  • Himachali Bonafide Certificate
  • Income certificate issued by the authority, not below the tehsildar
  • Receipts and fee structure of the university (if applicable)
  • Marks card of the last qualifying examinations
  • Bank statement of the student’s bank account

FAQ’s on HP ePASS Scholarship 2023

Question 1.
Who are eligible to apply for HP ePASS Central and State-Sponsored Scholarships?

Answer:
H.P. bonafide students, studying in Class IX onwards, within the state or outside the state, within India, can apply online under these schemes.

Question 2.
Can a Student apply as a fresh candidate, if he/she is a renewal candidate?

Answer:
No, a student cannot apply as a fresh if he/she is a Renewal candidate. Their application will be rejected in that case.

Question 3.
Which fields in the application form, students can edit?

Answer:
Students can edit all fields except a few like parental income, mobile no. email Id etc. It may be noted that once you click on the “Finalize and Submit” button your application will be forwarded to the next level and then you cannot edit further.

Question 4.
What to do, when a student detects mistakes after forwarding the application form to the next level?

Answer:
The student should separately inform the mistakes detected by them to the Institute/District/Region/State. The software provides the facility at the level of the Institute and State to edit and correct limited information.
