Ans.The blood platelets are responsible for the clotting of the blood. When some injury occurs blood starts flowing. But it clots on its own. If there are no platelets, the blood will not be able to clot and keep on flowing. Huge loss of blood ultimately causes death.

Ans.There are small openings on the lower surface of the leaves. These pores are called stomata. These openings are surrounded with guard cells.
Functions of stomata:
1. It helps in the transpiration of water, i.e., the loss of excess water from the plant.
2. Loss of water from the stomata creates an upward pull, i.e., suction pull which helps in absorption of water from the roots.
3. They help in exchange of gases.

Ans.There are four components of blood:

(ii) Red blood cells are disc shaped cells containing red coloured pigment called haemoglobin in it. Haemoglobin helps in transportation of oxygen.
(iii) White blood cells are the fighting cells which protect us against bacteria and foreign materials causing infections.

वाच्य- वाच्य का अर्थ है ‘बोलने का विषय।’
क्रिया के जिस रूप से यह ज्ञात हो कि उसके द्वारा किए गए विधान का विषय कर्ता है, कर्म है या भाव है, उसे वाच्य कहते हैं।

दूसरे शब्दों में क्रिया के जिस रूप से यह ज्ञात हो कि उसके प्रयोग का आधार कर्ता, कर्म या भाव है, उसे वाच्य कहते हैं। वाच्य के भेद-हिंदी में वाच्य के तीन भेद माने जाते हैं –

1. कर्तवाच्य- जिस वाक्य में कर्ता की प्रमुखता होती है अर्थात क्रिया का प्रयोग कर्ता के लिंग, वचन, कारक के अनुसार होता है और इसका सीधा संबंध कर्ता से होता है तब कर्तृवाच्य होता है।

कर्तृवाच्य-कुछ महत्त्वपूर्ण तथ्य।
कर्तृवाच्य में अकर्मक और सकर्मक दोनों प्रकार की क्रिया का प्रयोग किया जाता है; जैसे –

कर्ता के अपनी सामर्थ्य या क्षमता दर्शाने के लिए सकारात्मक वाक्यों में क्रिया के साथ सक के विभिन्न रूपों का प्रयोग किया जाता है; जैसे –

• मैं फ्रेंच पढ़-लिख सकता हूँ।
• यह कलाकार फ़िल्मी गीतों के अलावा लोकगीत भी गा सकता है।
• ऐसा सुंदर स्वेटर सुमन ही बन सकती है।
• यही मज़दूर इस भारी पत्थर को हटा सकता है।

कर्तृवाच्य के वाक्यों को कर्मवाच्य और भाववाच्य में बदला जा सकता है। कर्तृवाच्य में कर्ता की असमर्थता दर्शाने के लिए क्रिया एवं नहीं के साथ सक के विभिन्न रूपों का भी प्रयोग किया जा सकता है; जैसे –

• मैं चीनी भाषा नहीं लिख सकता हूँ।
• यह मोटा आदमी तेज़ नहीं दौड़ सकता है।
• बच्चे आज खेलने बाहर नहीं जा सकते हैं।
• मोहन यह सवाल हल नहीं कर सकता है।

2. कर्मवाच्य-जिस वाक्य में कर्म की प्रधानता होती है तथा क्रिया का प्रयोग कर्म के लिंग, वचन और पुरुष के अनुसार होता है और कर्ता की स्थिति में स्वयं कर्म होता है, वहाँ कर्मवाच्य होता है।
जैसे –

उपर्युक्त वाक्यों में क्रिया का प्रयोग कर्ता के अनुसार न होकर इनके कर्म के अनुसार हुआ है, अतः ये कर्मवाच्य हैं।

अन्य उदाहरण –
मोहन के द्वारा लेख लिखा जाता है।
हलवाई द्वारा मिठाइयाँ बनाई जाती हैं।
चित्रकार द्वारा चित्र बनाया जाता है।
रूपाली द्वारा कढ़ाई की जाती है।

कर्मवाच्य-कुछ महत्त्वपूर्ण तथ्य

• कर्मवाच्य में कर्म उपस्थित रहता है और क्रिया सकर्मक होती है।
  कर्मवाच्य के वाक्यों में प्रायः क्रिया ‘जा’ का रूप लगाया जाता है; जैसे –
  
• इस वाच्य में कर्ता के बाद से या के द्वारा का प्रयोग किया जाता है; जैसे –
  • तुलसीदास द्वारा रामचरितमानस की रचना की गई। (कर्ता + द्वारा)
  • नौकर से गिलास टूट गया। (कर्ता + से)
• कभी-कभी कर्ता का लोप रहता है; जैसे –
  पेड़ लगा दिए गए हैं। पत्र भेज दिया गया है।
• कर्मवाच्य में असमर्थता सूचक वाक्यों में ‘के द्वारा’ के स्थान पर ‘से’ का प्रयोग किया जाता है। ऐसा केवल नकारात्मक वाक्यों में किया जाता है; जैसे –
  मुझसे अंग्रेज़ी नहीं बोली जाती। मज़दूर से यह भारी पत्थर नहीं उठाया गया।
• कर्मवाच्य का प्रयोग निम्नलिखित स्थानों पर भी किया जाता है –

(i) कार्यालयी या कानूनी प्रयोग में –
हेलमेट न पहनने वालों को दंडित किया जाएगा।
चालान घर भिजवा दिया जाएगा।

(ii) अशक्तता दर्शाने के लिए; जैसे –
अब दवा भी नहीं पी जाती।
अब तो रोटी भी नहीं चबाई जाती।

(iii) जब सरकार या सभा स्वयं कर्ता हो; जैसे –
प्रत्येक घायल को पचास हजार रुपये दिए जाएँगे।
दालों के निर्यात का फ़ैसला कर लिया गया है।

(iv) जब कर्ता ज्ञात न हो; जैसे –
भ्रष्टाचार को बढ़ावा दिया जा रहा है।
पत्र भेज दिया गया है।

(v) अधिकार या घमंड का भाव दर्शाने के लिए; जैसे
ऐसा खाना हमसे नहीं खाया जाता।
नौकर को बुलाया जाए।

3. भाववाच्य – इस वाच्य में कर्ता अथवा कर्म की नहीं बल्कि भाव अर्थात् क्रिया के अर्थ की प्रधानता होती है; जैसे –
मरीज से उठा नहीं जाता।
पहलवान से दौडा नहीं जाता।

भाववाच्य – कुछ महत्त्वपूर्ण तथ्य

• इस वाच्य में प्रायः नकारात्मक वाक्य होते हैं।
• भाववाच्य में अकर्मक क्रिया का प्रयोग होता है।

भाववाच्य में प्रयुक्त क्रिया सदा पुल्लिंग अकर्मक और एकवचन होती है।
जैसे –

• चलो, अब सोया जाय।
• ऐसी धूप में कैसे चला जाएगा।
• विधवा से रोया भी नहीं जाता।
• इस मोटे व्यक्ति से उठा नहीं जाता।
• चलो घूमने चला जाए।
• भाववाच्य को केवल कर्तृवाच्य में बदला जा सकता है।

वाच्य-परिवर्तन

वाच्य परिवर्तन के अंतर्गत तीनों प्रकार के वाच्यों को परस्पर परिवर्तित किया जाता है

1. कर्तृवाच्य से कर्मवाच्य बनाना-कर्तृवाच्य से कर्मवाच्य बनाने के लिए –
(i) यदि कर्ता के बाद ‘ने’ परसर्ग लगा है तो उसे हटाकर द्वारा, से, के द्वारा लगाया जाता है।
(ii) क्रिया का प्रयोग कर्म के लिंग पुरुष और वचन के अनुसार करके ‘जा’ धातु को उचित रूप जोड़ देते हैं; जैसे –

2. कर्तृवाच्य से भाववाच्य में बदलना-भाववाच्य में मुख्य रूप से निषेधात्मक वाक्य आते हैं। भाववाच्य बनाते समय ने परसर्ग हटाकर से जोड़ दिया जाता है तथा क्रिया में आवश्यक बदलाव कर दिया जाता है; जैसे –

Q.6.When the current is switched on through a wire, a compass needle kept nearby gets deflected from its north-south position. Explain.
Ans. When current is passed through the wire, it deflects the compass near it from its north-south position like a magnet. This is called magnetic effect of the current. As we know that needle of the compass is made up of a thin magnet. When this needle comes in contact with another magnet then the like poles of the magnet repel each other and opposite poles attract each other. So the deflection is seen in the needle. In this case the wire behaves like a magnet and causes deflection in needle of the compass.

पद-परिचय को समझने से पहले शब्द और पद का भेद समझना आवश्यक है।

शब्द- वर्णों के सार्थक मेल को शब्द कहते हैं।
शब्द भाषा की स्वतंत्र इकाई होते हैं जिनका अर्थ होता है।

पद – जब कोई शब्द व्याकरण के नियमों के अनुसार प्रयुक्त हो जाता है तब उसे पद कहते हैं।
उदाहरण-राम, पत्र, पढ़ना – शब्द हैं।
राम पत्र पढ़ता है।
राम ने पत्र पढ़ा-इन दोनों वाक्यों में अलग-अलग ढंग से प्रयुक्त होकर राम, पत्र और पढ़ता है पद बन गए हैं।
पद-परिचय- वाक्य में प्रयुक्त पदों का विस्तृत व्याकरणिक परिचय देना ही पद-परिचय कहलाता है।

व्याकरणिक परिचय क्या है?

वाक्य में प्रयोग हुआ कोई पद व्याकरण की दृष्टि से विकारी है या अविकारी, यदि बिकारी है तो उसका भेद, उपभेद, लिंग, वचन पुरुष, कारक, काल अन्य शब्दों के साथ उसका संबंध और अविकारी है तो किस तरह का अव्यय है तथा उसका अन्य शब्दों से क या संबंध है आदि बताना व्याकरणिक परिचय कहलाता है।
पदों का परिचय देते समय निम्नलिखित बातें बताना आवश्यक होता है –

1. संज्ञा–तीनों भेद, लिंग, वचन, कारक क्रिया के साथ संबंध।
2. सर्वनाम-सर्वनाम के भेद, पुरुष, लिंग, वचन, कारक, क्रिया से संबंध।
3. विशेषण-विशेषण के भेद, लिंग, वचन और उसका विशेष्य।
4. क्रिया-क्रिया के भेद, लिंग, वचन, पुरुष, काल, वाच्य,धातु कर्म और कर्ता का उल्लेख।
5. क्रियाविशेषण-क्रियाविशेषण का भेद तथा जिसकी विशेषता बताई जा रही है, का उल्लेख।
6. समुच्चयबोधक-भेद, जिन शब्दों या पदों को मिला रहा है, का उल्लेख।
7. संबंधबोधक-भेद, जिसके साथ संबंध बताया जा रहा है, का उल्लेख।
8. विस्मयादिबोधक-हर्ष, भाव, शोक, घृणा, विस्मय आदि किसी एक भाव का निर्देश।

सभी पदों के परिचय पर एक संक्षिप्त दृष्टि –
सभी पदों को मुख्यतया दो वर्गों में बाँटा जा सकता है –

अ. विकारी
ब. अविकारी शब्द या अव्यय

अ. विकारी

इस वर्ग के पदों में लिंग, वचन, पुरुष, कारक आदि के कारण विकार आ जाता है। संज्ञा, सर्वनाम, विशेषण और क्रियाविशेषण विकारी पद हैं।

1. संज्ञा- किसी प्राणी, व्यक्ति, वस्तु, स्थान, भाव आदि के नाम को संज्ञा कहते हैं।

ध्यान दें-द्रव्य, पदार्थ, धातुएँ तथा समूह का बोध कराने वाले शब्द कक्षा, सेना, भीड़ आदि जातिवाचक संज्ञा के अंतर्गत आती हैं।

लिंग-संज्ञा के जिस रूप से उसके स्त्री या पुरुष जाति का होने का पता चले, उसे लिंग कहते हैं; जैसे- बालक-बालिका।

कारक-वाक्य में संज्ञा आदि शब्दों का क्रिया से संबंध बताने वाला व्याकरणिक कोटि कारक कहलाता है।

2. सर्वनाम- संज्ञा के स्थान पर प्रयुक्त होने वाले शब्दों को सर्वनाम कहते हैं; जैसे-मैं, हम, ये कुछ आदि।

3. विशेषण- संज्ञा और सर्वनाम की विशेषता बताने वाले शब्दों को विशेषण कहते हैं; जैसे-मीठा, परिश्रमी, काला, मोटा आदि।

प्रविशेषण- विशेषण की विशेषता बताने वाले शब्द प्रविशेषण कहलाते हैं; जैसे –

• यह आम बहुत मीठा है।
• उड़ीसा में आया तूफ़ान अत्यधिक भयावह था।
• इस साल बिलकुल कम वर्षा हुई।

4. क्रिया – जिस शब्द से किसी कार्य के करने या होने का पता चले, उसे क्रिया कहते हैं; जैसे- लिखना, पढ़ना, बोलना, स्नान करना आदि।
धातु – क्रिया का मूल रूप धातु कहलाता है। इसी में ‘ना’ लगाने पर क्रिया का सामान्य रूप बनता है।

धातु + ना = सामान्य रूप
पढ़ + ना = पढ़ना
लिख + ना = लिखना

(क) कर्म के आधार पर क्रिया भेद –

अकर्मक क्रिया- हँसाना, रोना, भागना, दौड़ना, कूदना, उछलना, बैठना आदि।
सकर्मक क्रिया- पढ़ना, लिखना, खाना, पीना, बनाना, बुनना, देना, तोड़ना आदि।

(ख) बनावट के आधार पर क्रिया भेद

1. मुख्य क्रिया – टूट गया, रोता रहा, चल दिया, खा लिया आदि।
2. संयुक्त क्रिया – कर लिया, सो गया, काट लिया, गाता गया आदि।
3. प्रेरणार्थक क्रिया – लिखवाना, कटवाना, बनवाना, पढ़वाना, चलवाना।
4. नामधातु क्रिया – फ़िल्माना, शरमाना, लजाना, हिनहिनाना आदि।
5. पूर्वकालिक क्रिया – पढ़कर, खाकर, नहाकर, पीकर, देखकर आदि।

काल-क्रिया होने के समय को काल कहते हैं।

ब – अविकारी शब्द या अव्यय

अव्यय वे शब्द होते हैं, जिन पर लिंग, वचन, काल, पुरुष आदि का कोई असर नहीं होता है।
जैसे – प्रातः, अभी, धीरे-धीरे, उधर, यहाँ, परंतु, और, इसलिए आदि।

अव्यय के भेद – क्रियाविशेषण, संबंधबोधक, समुच्चयबोधक, विस्मयादिबोधक तथा निपात अविकारी शब्द हैं।

1. क्रियाविशेषण–क्रिया की विशेषता बताने वाले शब्द क्रियाविशेषण कहलाते हैं; जैसे- बहुत, धीरे-धीरे, उधर, प्रातः आदि।

2. संबंधबोधक – जो अव्यय संज्ञा या सर्वनाम के बाद प्रयुक्त होकर वाक्य के अन्य संज्ञा या सर्वनाम शब्दों के साथ संबंध बताते हैं, उन्हें संबंधबोधक कहते हैं।
जैसे – विद्यालय के पास बगीचा है।
मंदिर के सामने फूल खिले हैं।
मुझे सुमन के साथ बाज़ार जाना है।
इसके अतिरिक्त, के अलावा, के भीतर, के बारे में, के विपरीत, के बदले, की तरह, की तरफ, के बाद आदि संबंधबोधक हैं।

3. समुच्चयबोधक – जो अव्यय दो शब्दों, दो पदबंधों या दो अव्ययों को जोड़ने का कार्य करते हैं, उन्हें समुच्चयबोधक कहते हैं; जैसे – और, तथा, किंतु, परंतु अथवा आदि।

4. विस्मयादिबोधक – जिन अव्यय शब्दों से आश्चर्य, हर्ष, घृणा, पीड़ा आदि भाव प्रकट हों, उन्हें विस्मयादिबोधक अव्यय कहते हैं; जैसे – ओह, अरे, अहा, हाय आदि।

5. निपात-वे अव्यय शब्द जो किसी शब्द के बाद लगकर उसके अर्थ पर बल लगा देते हैं, उन्हें निपात कहते हैं। ही, तो, भी, तक, मात्र, भर आदि मुख्य निपात हैं।

प्रयोग वैशिष्ट्य के कारण पद-परिचय में अंतर:
कभी-कभी प्रयोग में विशिष्टता के कारण भी पदों के परिचय में अंतर आ जाता है। इस अंतर को प्रकट करने वाले कुछ उदाहरण देखिए –

1. और –
सर्वनाम – औरों की बात मत कीजिए।
विशेषण – और लोग कब आएँगे?
क्रियाविशेषण – मैं अभी और खाऊँगा।
समुच्चयबोधक – सुमन आई और उपहार देकर चली गई।

2. अच्छा –
संज्ञा – अच्छों की शरण में जाओ।
विशेषण – कुछ अच्छे काम कर लिया करो।
क्रियाविशेषण – वह बहुत अच्छा नाची।
विस्मयादिबोधक – अच्छा! तुम्हारी इतनी हिम्मत!

3. कुछ –
सर्वनाम – खाने को कुछ दे दीजिए।
विशेषण – कुछ छात्र जा चुके हैं।
संज्ञा – कुछ के लिए जलपान का प्रबंध है।
क्रियाविशेषण – कुछ पढ़ो तो सही।

4. बहुत –
संज्ञा – मैंने बहुतों को देखा है।
सर्वनाम – बहुत हो चुका।
विशेषण – बहुत अनाज खराब हो गया।
क्रियाविशेषण – हाथी बहुत खाता है।

5. ऐसा –
संज्ञा – ऐसो को मैंने बहुत देखा है।
सर्वनाम – ऐसा नहीं होगा।
विशेषण – ऐसा साँप पहली बार देखा।
क्रियाविशेषण – ऐसा मत कीजिए।

6. वह –
सर्वनाम – वह आ गया।
विशेषण – वह घर हमारा है।

पदों का व्याकरणिक परिचय:

(क) निम्नलिखित वाक्यों के रंगीन अंशों का व्याकरणिक परिचय दीजिए –

1. उदिता यहाँ बच्चों को पढ़ाती थी।
उदिता- व्यक्तिवाचक संज्ञा, स्त्रीलिंग, एकवचन, कर्ताकारक, ‘पढ़ाती थी’ का कर्ता।
बच्चों को- जातिवाचक संज्ञा, पुल्लिंग, बहुवचन, कर्म कारक।
पढ़ाती थी- सकर्मक क्रिया, एकवचन, स्त्रीलिंग अन्य पुरुष, कर्तृवाच्य, कर्ता-उदिता

2. मधुकर यहाँ पिछले साल रहता था।
मधुकर- व्यक्तिवाचक संज्ञा, पुल्लिंग, एकवचन, कर्ताकारक, ‘रहता था’ क्रिया का कर्ता।
यहाँ- क्रियाविशेषण, स्थान सूचक, ‘रहना’ क्रिया का निर्देश करने वाला।
रहता था- अकर्मक क्रिया, एकवचन पुल्लिंग, अन्य पुरुष, भूतकाल, कर्तृवाच्य, कर्ता ‘मधुकर’।

3. रामचरितमानस की रचना तुलसीदास के द्वारा की गई।
रामचरितमानस- व्यक्तिवाचक संज्ञा, एकवचन, पुल्लिंग, कर्म कारक।
तुलसीदास के द्वारा- व्यक्तिवाचक संज्ञा, एकवचन, पुल्लिंग, करण कारक।
की गई- संयुक्त क्रिया, एकवचन, स्त्रीलिंग, कर्मवाच्य, अन्य पुरुष।

4. वह दौड़कर विद्यालय गया।
वह- अन्य पुरुषवाचक सर्वनाम, एकवचन, पुल्लिंग, कर्ता कारक, ‘गया’ क्रिया का कर्ता।
दौड़कर- पूर्वकालिक क्रिया, रीतिवाचक क्रियाविशेषण, ‘गया’ क्रिया की विशेषता बता रहा है।
गया- मुख्य क्रिया, एकवचन, पुल्लिंग, भूतकाल, कर्तृवाच्य, ‘कर्ता’ वह।

5. बाग में कुछ लोग बैठे थे।
बाग- जातिवाचक संज्ञा, एकवचन, पुल्लिंग, अधिकरण कारक।
कुछ- अनिश्चित संख्यावाचक विशेषण, ‘विशेष्य’ लोग।
लोग- जातिवाचक संज्ञा पुल्लिंग, बहुवचन, कर्ता कारक।
बैठे थे- अकर्मक क्रिया, बहुवचन, पुल्लिंग, कर्तृवाच्य, भूतकाल, कर्ता लोग।

6. मैं आपको कुछ रुपये दूंगा।
मैं- उत्तम पुरुषवाचक सर्वनाम, एकवचन, पुल्लिंग, कर्ताकारक, ‘दूंगा’ क्रिया का कर्ता।
आपको- मध्यम पुरुषवाचक सर्वनाम एकवचन पुल्लिंग, स्त्रीलिंग संप्रदान कारक।
कुछ– अनिश्चित संख्यावाचक विशेषण, विशेष्य रुपये।
रुपये- जातिवाचक संज्ञा, बहुवचन, पुल्लिंग, विशेष्य, विशेषण-कुछ
दूंगा- सकर्मक क्रिया, एकवचन पुल्लिंग कर्तृवाच्य, भविष्यतकाल, कर्ता मैं।

7. जब हम रेलवे स्टेशन पहुँचे गाड़ी छूट रही थी।
जब- कालवाचक क्रियाविशेषण, पहुँचने के समय का उल्लेख करने वाला।
हम- उत्तमपुरुषवाचक सर्वनाम, बहुवचन, कर्ताकारक, पुल्लिंग, पहुँचे क्रिया का कर्ता।
रेलवे स्टेशन- जातिवाचक संज्ञा, एकवचन, कर्मकारक, पुल्लिंग
पहुँचे- मुख्य क्रिया भूतकालिक, बहुवचन, पुल्लिंग, कर्तृवाच्य, कर्ता हम।
गाड़ी- जातिवाचक संज्ञा, स्त्रीलिंग, एकवचन, छूट रही थी क्रिया का कर्ता।
छूट रही थी- सकर्मक क्रिया, भूतकाल, सातत्यबोधक स्त्रीलिंग, एकवचन, कर्तृवाच्य अन्य पुरुष, कर्ता गाड़ी।

8. भारतीय सैनिक रणक्षेत्र में वीरता दिखाते हैं और शत्रुओं को सबक सिखाते हैं।
भारतीय- गुणवाचक विशेषण, पुल्लिंग, बहुवचन, विशेष्य-सैनिक।
सैनिक- जातिवाचक संज्ञा, बहुवचन, पुल्लिंग, कर्ताकारक, ‘दिखाते हैं’ क्रिया का कर्ता।
रणक्षेत्र में- जातिवाचक संज्ञा, एकवचन, पुल्लिंग, अधिकरण कारक।

सिखाते हैं- सकर्मक क्रिया, बहुवचन, पुल्लिंग, कर्तृवाच्य, वर्तमानकालिक कर्ता ‘सैनिक’।

9. उस गमले में तीन फूल खिले हैं।
उस- सार्वनामिक विशेषण, एकवचन, पुल्लिंग, विशेष्य ‘गमला’।

रस – साहित्य का नाम आते ही रस का नाम स्वतः आ जाता है। इसके बिना साहित्य की कल्पना नहीं की जा सकती है। भारतीय साहित्य शास्त्रियों ने साहित्य के लिए रस की अनिवार्यता समझा और इसे साहित्य के लिए आवश्यक बताया। वास्तव में रस काव्य की आत्मा है।

किसी साहित्य को पढ़कर जब व्यक्ति कविता के भावों से तादात्म्य स्थापित कर लेता है तब इस प्रक्रिया में उसके मन के स्थायी भाव रस में परिणित हो जाते हैं। इस तरह काव्य से जो आनंद प्राप्त होता है वह जीवन के अनुभवों से प्राप्त अनुभवों जैसा होकर भी उससे ऊँचे स्तर को प्राप्त कर लेता है। यह आनंद व्यक्तिगत संकीर्णता से अलग होता है।

परिभाषा-कविता-कहानी को पढने, सुनने और नाटक को देखने से पाठक, श्रोता और दर्शक को जो आनंद प्राप्त होता है, उसे रस कहते हैं।

रस के अंग-रस के चार अंग माने गए हैं –

1. स्थायीभाव
2. विभाव
3. अनुभाव
4. संचारीभाव

1. स्थायीभाव – कविता या नाटक का आनंद लेने से सहृदय के हृदय में भावों का संचार होता है। ये भाव मनुष्य के हृदय में स्थायी रूप से विद्यमान होते हैं। सुषुप्तावस्था में रहने वाले ये भाव साहित्य के आनंद के द्वारा जग जाते हैं और रस में बदल जाते हैं

मानव मन में अनेक तरह के भाव उठते हैं पर साहित्याचार्यों ने इन भावों को मुख्यतया नौ स्थायी भावों में बाँटा है पर वत्सल भाव को शामिल करने पर इनकी संख्या दस मानी जाती है। ये स्थायीभाव और उनसे संबंधित रस इस प्रकार हैं –


2. विभाव – विभाव का शाब्दिक अर्थ है-भावों को विशेष रूप से जगाने वाला अर्थात् वे कारण, विषय और वस्तुएँ, जो सहृदय के हृदय में सुप्त पड़े भावों को जगा देती हैं और उद्दीप्त करती हैं, उन्हें विभाव कहते हैं।
विभाव के भेद होते हैं –

1. आलंबन विभाव-वे वस्तुएँ और विषय, जिनके सहारे भाव उत्पन्न होते हैं, उन्हें आलंबन विभाव कहते हैं।
आलंबन विभाव के दो भेद होते हैं
(क) आश्रय – जिस व्यक्ति या पात्र के हृदय में भावों की उत्पत्ति होती है, उसे आश्रय कहते हैं।
(ख) विषय – जिस विषय-वस्तु के प्रति मन में भावों की उत्पत्ति होती है, उसे विषय कहते हैं। एक उदाहरण देखिए –
अपने भाइयों और साथी राजाओं के एक-एक कर मारे जाने से दुर्योधन विलाप करने लगा। यहाँ ‘दुर्योधन’ आश्रय तथा ‘भाइयों और राजाओं का एक-एक कर मारा जाना’ विषय है। दोनों के मेल से आलंबन विभाव बन रहा है।

2. उद्दीपन विभाव-वे वाह्य वातावरण, चेष्टाएँ और अन्य वस्तुएँ जो मन के भावों को उद्दीप्त अर्थात तेज़ करते हैं, उन्हें उद्दीपन विभाव कहते हैं।

इसे उपर्युक्त उदाहरण के माध्यम से समझते हैं –
भाइयों एवं साथी राजाओं की मृत्यु से दुखी एवं विलाप करने वाला दुर्योधन ‘आश्रय’ है। यहाँ युद्ध के भयानक दृश्य, भाइयों के कटे सिर, घायल साथी राजाओं की चीख-पुकार, हाथ-पैर पटकना आदि क्रियाएँ दुख के भाव को उद्दीप्त कर रही हैं। अतः ये सभी उद्दीपन विभाव हैं।

3. अनुभाव – अनुभाव दो शब्दों ‘अनु’ और भाव के मेल से बना है। ‘अनु’ अर्थात् पीछे या बाद में अर्थात् आश्रय के मन में पनपे भाव और उसकी वाह्य चेष्टाएँ अनुभाव कहलाती हैं।
जैसे-चुटकुला सुनकर हँस पड़ना, तालियाँ बजाना आदि चेष्टाएँ अनुभाव हैं।

4. संचारी भाव-आश्रय के चित्त में स्थायी भाव के साथ आते-जाते रहने वाले जो अन्य भाव आते रहते हैं उन्हें संचारी भाव कहते हैं। इनका दूसरा नाम अस्थिर मनोविकार भी है।
चुटकुला सुनने से मन में उत्पन्न खुशी तथा दुर्योधन के मन में उठने वाली दुश्चिंता, शोक, मोह आदि संचारी भाव हैं।
संचारी भावों की संख्या 33 मानी जाती है।

संचारी और स्थायी भावों में अंतर –
1. संचारी भाव बनते-बिगड़ते रहते हैं, जबकि स्थायीभाव अंत तक बने रहते हैं।
2. संचारी भाव अनेक रसों के साथ रह सकता है। इसे व्यभिचारी भाव भी कहा जाता है, जबकि प्रत्येक रस का स्थाई भाव एक ही होता है।

रस-निष्पत्ति –

हृदय के स्थायी भाव का जब विभाव, अनुभाव और संचारी भाव से संयोग होता है अर्थात् वे एक दूसरे से मिल-जुल जाते हैं, तब रस की निष्पत्ति होती है। अर्थात्
स्थायीभाव + विभाव + अनुभाव + संचारीभाव = रस की व्युत्पत्ति।

रस के भेद –
रस के भेद और उनके उदाहरण निम्नलिखित हैं –

1. श्रृंगार रस-शृंगार रस का आधार स्त्री-पुरुष का सहज आकर्षण है। स्त्री-पुरुष में सहज रूप से विद्यमान रति नामक स्थायीभाव, विभाव, अनुभाव और संचारीभाव के संयोग से आनंद लेने योग्य हो जाता है, तब इसे शृंगार रस कहते हैं।
अनुभूतियों के आधार पर शृंगार रस के दो भेद होते हैं –
(क) संयोग शृंगार रस
(ख) वियोग शृंगार रस

(क) संयोग श्रृंगार रस – काव्य में या अन्यत्र जब नायक-नायिका के मिलन का वर्णन होता है, तब वहाँ संयोग शृंगार रस होता
उदाहरण – वर्षा ऋतु में रात्रि के समय बिजली चमक रही है, बादल बरस रहे हैं। दादुरमोर की आवाज़ सुनाई देती है। पद्मावती अपने प्रीतम के संग जागती हुई वर्षा का आनंद ले रही है और बादलों की गर्जना सुनकर चौंककर प्रीतम के सीने से लग जाती है। संयोग शृंगार का वर्णन देखिए

“पदमावति चाहत रितु पाई, गगन सुहावन भूमि सुहाई।
चमक बीजु बरसै जग सोना, दादुर मोर सबद सुठिलोना॥
रंगराती प्रीतम संग जागी, गरजै गगन चौंकि उर लागी।
शीतल बूंद ऊँच चौपारा, हरियर सब देखाइ संसारा॥ (मलिक मोहम्मद जायसी)

यहाँ स्थायीभाव रति (प्रेम) है। रानी पद्मावती आश्रय तथा आलंबन उसका प्रीतम है। बिजली चमकना, दादुर-मोर का बोलना, बादलों का गरजना उद्दीपन विभाव तथा चौंककर सीने से लग जाना डरना संचारी भाव है।

(ख) वियोग श्रृंगार रस-प्रिय से बिछड़कर वियोगावस्था में दिन बिता रहे नायक-नायिका की अवस्था का वर्णन होता है, तब वियोग शृंगार होता है

मनमोहन तै बिछुरी जब सौं,
तन आँसुन सौ सदा धोवती हैं।
हरिश्चंद जू प्रेम के फंद परी
कुल की कुल लाजहि खोवती हैं।
दुख के दिन कोऊ भाँति बितै
विरहागम रंग संजोवती है।
हम ही अपनी दशा जानें सखी,
निसि सोबती है किधौं रोबती हैं। (‘भारतेंदु हरिश्चंद’)

यहाँ स्थायी भाव रति (प्रेम) है। विरहिणी नायिका आश्रय तथा उसका प्रिय (मनमोहन) आलंबन है। विभाव-मिलन के सुखद दिन तथा संचारी भाव-पूर्व मिलन की यादें, दुख आदि, जिनके संयोग से वियोग शृंगार रस की अनुभूति हो रही है।

2. हास्य रस – किसी विचित्र व्यक्ति, वस्तु, आकृति, वेशभूषा, असंगत क्रिया विचार, व्यवहार आदि को देखकर जिस विनोद भाव का संचार होता है, उसे हास कहते हैं। हास के परिपुष्ट होने पर हास्य रस की उत्पत्ति होती है।
उदाहरण – श्रीराम-लक्ष्मण के वन गमन के समय उनके पैरों की रज छूकर शिला बन चुकी अहिल्या जीवित हो उठीं। यह समाचार सुनते ही विंध्याचल पर्वत पर रहने वाले मुनिगण बड़े खुश हुए कि यहाँ की अब सभी शिलाएँ नारी बन जाएँगी –

विंध्य के बासी उदासी तपोव्रत धारी नारि बिना मुनि महा दुखारे ।
गौतम तीय तरी तुलसी सो कथा सुनि भये मुनिवृंद सुखारे।
हवै हैं सिला सब चंद्रमुखी, परसे प्रभु के पदकंज तिहारे।
कीन्हीं भली रघुनायक जो करुणा करि कानन को पग धारे॥

यहाँ विंध्याचल पर तपस्या करने वाले ऋषि-मुनि आश्रय, राम आलंबन हैं, शिलाओं का पत्थर बनने की खबर सुनना विभाव और प्रसन्न होना, राम के वन आगमन को अच्छा समझना संचारी भाव है। इनके निष्पत्ति से हास परिपुष्ट हो रहा है और हास्य रस की उत्पत्ति हो रही है।

3. वीर रस – युद्ध में वीरों की वीरता के वर्णन में वीर रस परिपुष्ट होता है। जब हृदय में उत्साह नामक स्थायी भाव का विभाव, अनुभाव और संचारी भाव से संयोग होता है, तब वीर रस की उत्पत्ति होती है।

उदाहरण – अर्जुन के दूसरे मोर्चे पर युद्धरत होने और कौरवों द्वारा चक्रव्यूह की रचना से चिंतित युधिष्ठिर जब अभिमन्यु को अपनी चिंता बताते हैं तो अभिमन्यु उनसे कहता है

हे सारथे! हे द्रोण क्या, देवेंद्र भी आकर अड़ें,
है खेल क्षत्रिय बालकों का, व्यूह-भेदन कर लड़े।
मैं सत्य कहता हूँ सखे! सुकुमार मत जानो मुझे,
यमराज से भी युद्ध में प्रस्तुत सदा मानो मुझे।

यहाँ आश्रय अभिमन्यु, आलंबन कौरव पक्ष के वीर और उनके द्वारा रचित चक्रव्यूह, उनकी ललकार सुनकर भुजाएँ फड़कना, वचन देना, उत्साहित होना विभाव तथा रणक्षेत्र में जाने को तत्पर होना, रोमांच, उत्सुकता उग्रता संचारीभाव तथा वीर रस की निष्पत्ति हुई है।

4. रौद्र रस – क्रोध की अधिकता से उत्पन्न इंद्रियों की प्रबलता को रौद्र कहते हैं। जब इस क्रोध का मेल विभाव, अनुभाव और संचारीभाव से होता है, तब रौद्ररस की निष्पत्ति होती है।
उदाहरण-सीता स्वयंवर के अवसर पर धनुष भंग होने की खबर सुनते ही परशुराम स्वयंवर स्थल पर आए। लक्ष्मण के वचनों ने उनके क्रोध को और भी भड़का दिया। वे रौद्र रूप धारण कर कहने लगे –

अब जनि देइ दोसु मोहि लोगू। कटुवादी बालक वध जोगू॥
बाल विलोकि बहुत मैं बाँचा। अब येहु मरनहार भा साँचा॥
खर कुठार मैं अकरुन कोही। आगे अपराधी गुरुद्रोही॥
उत्तर देत छोडौं बिनु मारे। केवल कौशिक सील तुम्हारे ॥
न त येहि काटि कुठार कठोरे। गुरहि उरिन होतेउँ भ्रम थोरे ॥

यहाँ स्थायी भाव क्रोध है, आश्रय-परशुराम, आलंबन-कटुवादी लक्ष्मण है एवं परशुराम का कठोर वचन उच्चारण अनुभाव है एवं आवेग, उग्रता, चपलता आदि संचारी भाव है। इनके संयोग से रौद्र रस की निष्पत्ति हुई है।

5. भयानक रस – डरावने दृश्य देखकर मन में भय उत्पन्न होता है। जब भय नामक स्थायीभाव का मेल विभाव, अनुभाव और संचारी भाव से होता है, तब भयानक रस उत्पन्न होता है।
उदाहरण – प्रलय का एक भयानक चित्र देखिए –
पंचभूत का वैभव मिश्रण झंझाओं का सकल निपातु,
उल्का लेकर सकल शक्तियाँ, खोज रही थीं खोया प्रात।
धंसती धरा धधकती ज्वाला, ज्वालामुखियों के नि:श्वास;
और संकुचित क्रमशः उसके अवयव का होता था ह्रास।

यहाँ – स्थायीभाव – भय, आश्रय स्वयं मनु हैं जो प्रलय की भयंकरता देख रहे हैं, आलंबन-प्रलय का प्रकोप, अनुभाव-भयभीत होना, उद्दीपन-धधकती ज्वालाएँ, धरा का धंसते जाना, ज्वालामुखी में सब कुछ नष्ट होना तथा संचारी भाव-शंका, भय आदि हैं, जिनके संयोग से भयानक रस की निष्पत्ति हुई है।

6. करुण रस – प्रिय जन की पीड़ा, मृत्यु, वांछित वस्तु का न मिलना, अनिष्ट होना आदि से शोकभाव परिपुष्ट होता है तब वहाँ करुण रस होता है।
उदाहरण – दुलारों में नित पाली हुई, प्रेम की प्रतिभा वह प्यारी।
खिलौना इस घर की वह हाय, वही थी सरला सुकुमारी।
अरे! कोई यह दीन पुकार, कहीं यदि सुनता हो कोई।
मुझे दिखला दे मेरा प्राण, जगा दे फिर किस्मत सोई ॥

यहाँ – स्थायी भाव-शोक, आश्रय-जिससे हृदय का भाव जाग्रत हो, आलंबन – मृत प्रियजन और नाश को प्राप्त ऐश्वर्य। उद्दीपन – प्रिय केशव दर्शन, चिता जलाना उससे संबंधित वस्तुओं एवं अन्य रोते हुए बांधवों का दर्शन, अत्याचार आदि। अनुभाव – विलाप, रोदन, भाग्य की निंदा, प्रलाप आदि। संचारी भाव – मोह ग्लानि चिंता विषाद आदि।

7. वीभत्स रस – वीभत्स का स्थायी भाव जुगुप्सा है। अत्यंत गंदे और घृणित दृश्य वीभत्स रस की उत्पत्ति करते हैं। गंदी और घृणित वस्तुओं के वर्णन से जब घृणा भाव पुष्ट होता है तब यह रस उत्पन्न होता है।

उदाहरण – हाथ में घाव थे चार
थी उनमें मवाद भरमार
मक्खी उन पर भिनक रही थी,
कुछ पाने को टूट पड़ी थी
उसी हाथ से कौर उठाता
घृणा से मेरा मन भर जाता।

यहाँ – स्थायीभाव – जुगुप्सा (घृणा) है,
आश्रय – जिसके मन में घृणा हो,
आलंबन – घाव, मवाद भिनभिनाती मक्खियाँ ।
उद्दीपन – घाव-मवाद युक्त हाथ से भोजन करना
अनुभाव – नाक-मुँह सिकोड़ना, घृणा करना, थूकना
संचारी भाव – ग्लानि दैन्य आदि।

8. अद्भुत रस – जब किसी वस्तु का वर्णन आश्चर्य उत्पन्न करता है, तब अद्भुत रस उत्पन्न होता है।

उदाहरण – अखिल भुवन चर-अचर सब हरि मुख में लखि मातु।
चकित भई गदगद् वचन, विकसत दृग पुलकातु॥

यहाँ-स्थायी भाव-विस्मय है। आश्रय-माता यशोदा तथा आलंबन-बालक श्री कृष्ण का मुख, मुख के भीतर का दृश्य उद्दीपन। आँखों का फैलना, गदगद वचन बोलना अनुभाव, भय संचारीभाव है। इनके संयोग से अद्भुत रस की उत्पत्ति हुई है।

9. शांत रस – जब चित्त शांत दशा में होता है तब शांत रस उत्पन्न होता है। इसका स्थायी भाव निर्वेद है।

उदाहरण – अब लौं नसानी अब न नसैहौं।
राम कृपा भव निशा सिरानी, जागे फिर न डसैहौं।
पायो नाम चारु चिंतामनि, उर करतें न खसैहौं।
श्याम रूप सुनि रुचिर कसौटी चित्त कंचनहि कसैहौं।
परबस जानि हँस्यो इन इंद्रिय निज बस हवै न हसैहौं।
मन मधुकर पनकरि तुलसी रघुपति पद कमल बसैहौं।

यहाँ-स्थायीभाव-निर्वेद, उद्दीपन विभाव-संसार की क्षणभंगुरता, सारहीनता, इंद्रियों द्वारा उपहास, अनुभाव-राम के चरणों में मन लगना, संचारी भाव-दृढ़ प्रतिज्ञ मति होना आदि के संयोग से निर्वेद नामक स्थायी भाव पुष्ट होकर शांत रस को प्राप्त हुआ है।

10. वात्सल्य रस – छोटे बच्चों के प्रति स्नेह के चित्रण में वात्सल्य रस उत्पन्न होता है। हृदय में ‘वत्सल’ नामक स्थायी भाव का मेल विभाव, अनुभाव और संचारी भाव से होता है, तब वात्सल्य रस परिपुष्ट होता है।

उदाहरण – मैया मोरी मैं नहिं माखन खायो।
भोर भयो गैयन के पाछे मधुवन मोहि पठायो।
चार पहर वंशी वन भटक्यो साँझ परे घर आयो।
ग्वाल-बाल सब बैर पड़े हैं, वरबस मुख लपटायो।
मैं बालक बहियन को छोरो, छीको केहि विधि पायो।
सूरदास तब बिहँसि यशोमति मैं उर कंठ लगायो॥

यहाँ – स्थायीभाव-वत्सल, आश्रय – माता यशोदा, आलंबन – श्री कृष्ण, उद्दीपन – श्रीकृष्ण के मुख पर लगा मक्खन, अनुभाव-यशोदा के मन में शंका, जिज्ञासा प्रकट करना, संचारी भाव – यशोदा का हर्षित होना आदि के संयोग से वात्सल्य रस परिपुष्ट हुआ है।

If you’ve picked up your pace in PUBG Mobile Lite and wish to test your quick-acting skills, the new Golden Woods map is the right place to start.

According to PUBG Mobile developers, the Golden Woods map is smaller and has small towns to loot. There’s also a lot of shrubbery for intense combat scenes. If we have to draw similarities, Golden Woods could be the Sanhok of PUBG Mobile Lite with its own unique taste.

PUBG Mobile Lite’s new map isn’t everything in the 0.14.1 update. There’s also a new Arcade Mode, dubbed War Mode, which as the name suggests is for action-filled combat. Players in the War mode will have RPG-7s.

5. The student should be a domicile of Maharashtra.

Rajarshri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship – Benefits

• Under this scheme, the SC students who secured 75% in the SSC examination and takes admission in Class XI will get scholarship Rs.300 per month for 10 months for two years.
• This Scholarship will be given in addition to the Government of India (GOI) scholarship and freeship

Post-Matric Scholarship for Persons with Disability – Eligibility

1. The students who are disabled are eligible to apply. (40% or above)
2. The students should be a domicile of Maharashtra.
3. The students should be studying in recognized university or institute.
4. The scholarship will not be applicable if the candidate fails or quits the same course.
5. The student studying in recognized institute or college out of Maharashtra and belong to the Maharashtra state are also eligible.
6. The students pursuing post-graduation from the medical field but not allowed to practice out of institute are also eligible.
7. The candidates who are taking distance education from a recognized institution where non-refundable fees have to be paid by the student are eligible to apply.

•  The courses which students have enrolled in should be approved by the government or AICTE.
• The students should not have had 2-year of the gap during their course.
• The students must have given all semester examinations.
• 100% tuition fee waived for Government & Non-government aided courses for students up to Rs.2.5 Lakh family annual income.
• For students with family annual income up to 8 Lakh will receive 50% Government and Non-government aided tuition fees.

Eklavya Scholarship

• Arts with at least 60% marks in Science with at least 70% marks.

State Government Open Merit Scholarship

• The Candidate must be a resident of the Maharashtra state.
• The Candidate should have secured at least 60% marks in class 12th.
• This scholarship is for students who have enrolled for Arts, Commerce, Science and Law courses.

Scholarship to Meritorious Students Possessing Mathematics/Physics

• At least 60% in Science exam and more than 60% in Maths & Physics in Class 12th.

• Rs.100 per month will be paid.

State Government Dakshina Ahichatra Scholarship

• The Candidate must be a graduate student from non-agriculture University only.

• The Candidate must be a resident of the Maharashtra State.
• Rs.250 per month scholarship amount will get disbursed by the department.

Government Research Adichatra

• The Candidate must be a postgraduate degree holder.

MahaDBT Application Procedure

The candidates can apply for Maharashtra DTE scholarship via Aaple Sarkar DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) portal. This platform is uniquely run by the Government of Maharashtra for the students to help them get the benefits of various schemes available. Also, students should make a note that the Aadhaar number is necessary from the academic session 2018-19 to apply for any scholarship via the portal. The candidates are suggested to go through the instructions carefully and get the awareness of all the requirements before filling up the scholarship form. INSPIRE Scholarship: “Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE)” is an innovative course sponsored and administered by the Department of Science & Technology(DST) for the pull of talent to Science. The basic goal of INSPIRE is to deliver to the youth of the country the activities of creative pursuit of science, pull talent to the art of science at an early age and thus create the required significant human resource pool for sustaining and expanding the Science & Technology system and R & D base.

A prominent feature of the program is that it does not consider in conducting competitive exams to identify talent at any level. It concludes in and relies on the ability of the existing educational edifice to identify the talent.

Government of India has passed the INSPIRE Scheme in November 2008 at a total expense of about Rs 1979.25 crores in the 11th Plan Period and Honourable Prime Minister originated the program on 13th December 2008. INSPIRE Scholarship – Rules To be Followed

• INSPIRE-SHE is granted to students for a period of five years, starting from the 1st year B.Sc., BS, Integrated M.Sc/MS or until the end of the course, whichever occurs earlier.

• The shortlisted candidates have to submit their year-wise performance report (signed by the Head of the Institution) and mark sheet of their BSc, BS, Int. MSc/MS course for the release of the scholarship. Head of the Institution refers to Vice-Chancellor/Registrar/Dean of Science in case of Universities and Principal/Vice Principal/Proctor/Officer-in-Charge in case of colleges.
• The Head of the Institution should clearly state in the performance report if the scholarship should be extended or not in that academic year.
• For the first time, the scholarship is published only after the approval of the performance report and mark sheet of 1st year B.Sc, BS, Int. M.Sc/MS. If the academic performance of the candidate is satisfying, two years of scholarship, i.e., Rs.1,20,000 is issued during the candidate’s 2nd year of B.Sc, BS, Int. M.Sc/MS.
• Applicants availing any other scholarship from other sources are not eligible to win this scholarship.

Assured Opportunity for Research Careers (AORC) 

It endeavors to attract, attach, retain and nourish young scientific Human Resource for increasing the R&D foundation and base. It has two sub-components. In the first part i.e. INSPIRE Fellowship (age group of 22-27 years), it awards 1000 fellowships every year, for carrying out a doctoral degree in both basic and applied sciences including engineering and medicine. In the second component i.e. INSPIRE Faculty Scheme, it offers guaranteed opportunity every year for 1000 post-doctoral researchers in the age group of 27-32 years, through contractual and tenure track positions for 5 years in both basic and applied sciences area.

• TS ePASS is fairly available for all the candidates belonging to any of the categories such as General, OBC, SC, ST.

• College Verification:  Here, the college principal has been asked to verify the documents provided by each student with the details in the application form.  Once the verification is finished and all details are found correct, he/she would certainly sign the same and send it to the department for confirmation by the verification officer appointed by the District Collector

• Verification by the Verification Officer:  the verification officer appointed by the District Collector will conduct physical and documentary verification and submit his report either accepting or rejecting the scholarship application.

• Scrutiny by the Welfare Officer: before each and every application is taken up for permission it is the responsibility of the welfare officer to satisfy himself of the verification by the college principal and the verification officer and finally sanction the scholarship.

PM Scholarship 2019: PM Scholarship or Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme (PMSS) is a scholarship scheme that strives at promoting higher professional and technical studies for the dependent wards and widows of Central Armed Police Forces & Assam Rifles (CAPFs & AR) and State Police Personnel. Initiated in the year 2006-07, this scheme is run by the Welfare and Rehabilitation Board,  Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. This scheme has by far affected lakhs of students and helped many of them pursue their dream career easily.

The Government of India(GOI) has recently introduced major changes in the scholarship by revising the scholarship reward amount for girls from Rs.2,250 to Rs.3,000 per month and for boys from Rs.2,000 to Rs.2,500 per month. Additionally, 500 new scholarships will also be given to the wards of State Police officials who were martyred in terror or Naxal attacks.

PM Scholarship Important Dates

PM Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

• Wards of Civilians including Para-Military Personnel are NOT ELIGIBLE.

PM Scholarship Eligible Courses

• First Professional Degree Courses like BE, B.Tech, BDS, MBBS, B.Ed, B.B.A, BCA, B.Pharma, etc. duly recognized by the respective Government Regulatory Bodies, such as All India Council for Technical Education, Medical Council of India, UGC, etc.
• Master Degree Courses are not eligible for PMSS except MBA / MCA Courses.
• Students studying abroad are not eligible for this scheme. No distance learning course is permitted under PMSS. PMSS can be availed for ONE COURSE only.

• Click on the “New Registration” link.
• Read the application guidelines carefully and click on continue to proceed.

• After getting registered the user id and password will be generated on your mobile number.

Login with User Id and Password

• Log in to the portal using application id and password received on your registered mobile number.
• An OTP will be generated on your registered mobile number for successful login.
• Verify the OTP and change the password.

• Upload the scanned copy of all supporting documents.

Documents Required to Apply for PM Scholarship

Once Candidate has completed the application process, they should further know about the necessary documents that candidate need to submit to apply for the Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme. PM Scholarship Rewards

• The amount of which candidate will receive under the Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme and for how many years the scholarships will be disbursed are the necessary details a candidate should know.
• A total of 5500 eligible candidates get benefit under this scheme every year. And these scholarships are equally distributed among boys and girls, i.e. 2750 each.
• Besides, the amount of the scholarship offered to girls is Rs.3000 per month and to boys is Rs.2500 per month, every year.
• Moreover, the duration of the scholarship may differ from one year to five years depending on your course span.

PM Scholarship Selection Preferences

The criteria that are considered while shortlisting candidates for PM scholarship and the authorities who are responsible for the final selection of students, those details are discussed. For the end-to-end implementation and disbursement of the scheme, the Ministry of Home Affairs is completely responsible. But the preference is given to students in the following order:

• Category A: The first preference is given to the wards and widows of CAPFs & AR personnel who were killed in action.
• Category B: The second preference is given to the wards of Ex-CAPFs & AR personnel who got disabled in action.
• Category C: The third preference is given to the wards and widows of deceased CAPFs & AR personnel who died during their service for causes attributable to Government service.
• Category D: The next preference is given to the wards of Ex-CAPFs & AR personnel who got disabled during their service with disability attributable to Government service.
• Category E: Further, the preference is given to the wards of Ex-CAPFs & AR personnel who have received gallantry awards.
• Category F: The next preference is given to the wards of Ex-CAPFs & AR personnel (PBOR only).
• Category G: Lastly, the preference will be given to the wards of serving CAPFs & AR personnel (PBOR) subject to the availability of the scholarship.

Note: The dependents wards of State Police Personnel who died during Naxal/Terror attacks will also be given preference.

PM Scholarship Renewal

Let us know the renewal procedure for the candidates who want to renew their scholarship. While the selected students will get the reward of the first installment of the PM scholarship as soon as the merit list is declared, the subsequent payments are done only if the scholars apply for the renewal of scholarship at the end of each academic year. Just like the new application, the candidate can also apply for the renewal through online mode. Although to apply for the renewal application, it is necessary for a candidate to fulfill certain criteria that include:

• Candidate should secure at least 50% marks in every semester or academic year.
• Candidates have to pass all the subjects in each year/semester in one attempt.

Candidate can apply for renewal within one year of the declaration of merit list and the applications can be made throughout the year but not between January to April months.

PM Scholarship for Integrated Courses

• Minimum Educational Qualification (MEQ) will be 10+2. However when applying student need to upload mark sheets of 10+2 in all cases, 1st year and 2nd year (all semesters) where 1st course is non-professional.
• There are two types of Integrated Courses (dual degree) which are discussed below :
  • Integrated courses (dual degree) which have both the courses as Professional/Technical for example BE+ME, B.Tech+M.Tech, BBA+MBA, etc. In such cases, only the first professional degree will be granted a scholarship.
  • Integrated Courses (dual degree) which have a first degree as Academic (Non-Professional) and second degree as Professional/Technical for example BA + LLB, B.Com + LLB, B.Sc.+B.Ed. In such cases, students will be paid for the professional part of the course and not for non – professional/academic part.
• A student pursuing Integrated courses wherein one degree is professional and another degree is non-professional, he/she will be awarded scholarship for professional portion of the dual degree course only and not for the academic portion of such course. The same is illustrated with the help of an example as under :
  • “In BA+LLB (dual degree course) first degree is BA which is non-professional and 2nd degree is LLB is which is professional. Therefore, scholarship for the professional portion (i.e. LLB) only will be provided.
• When 1st degree is non-professional and 2nd degree is professional, in such cases, while seeking PM scholarship from third year onward student must have completed his previous two years of non-professional course without fail. Repetition/RA/Failure will make students ineligible to apply for a scholarship. A student should clear all the subjects of 1st & 2nd year in the first attempt and within the stipulated time frame from the date of admission, otherwise he/she will not be considered for award of scholarship and application will be rejected.

Important Instructions for Students

• Students to respond in time according to SMS/email received from Kendriya Sainik Board.
• E-mail and Mobile Number mentioned in the application must be of the student. Alternate Mobile Number can be of ESM. E-mail and mobile number once registered should not be changed since all messages being sent to the registered email/mobile number
• During checking of new application if observation raised from ZSB/RSB and KSB are not rectified within the stipulated time frame of 10 days, then the application will be automatically rejected by the system. So ensure that the observation is rectified in time to avoid system rejection of the application.
• During the period from January to May, processing, selection and preparation of merit list of a new application (1st-year students) are being done by KSB. Processing and payment of renewal application are done as and when received by KSB throughout the year EXCEPT from January to May. Student/ESM to keep in mind the periodicity of checking of application (new and renewal) before raising any query relating to checking/payment status of applications.
• Student/ESM should log in to KSB account to check the status of the application. It is to be noted while application status is showing pending to the student dashboard, but on the ground, the application is in the process at different levels/functionaries at KSB.
• Student studying abroad as well as distance learning case is not eligible for PMSS

The District Collector appoints verification officers for one or more colleges depending on the number of students in the college. The verification process is a two-step verification process:

• Verification by the College Principle: All applications to be verified individually by the college and signed by the principal of the college.
• Verification by the verification officer: The verification officer will have to verify all the student in the college an appointed date and time.

What is the meaning of verification in the scholarship process?

Answer:
The process of verification is essentially meant to check whether the particulars given in the scholarship form are correct as per the documents enclosed.  The verification is done in two steps namely college verification and Independent verification.

• College Verification:  In this verification, the college has been mandated to verify the documents furnished by each student with the entry made in the application form.  Once the verification is completed and all entries are found correct, he would finally sign the same and send it to the department for verification by the verification officer appointed by the District Collector
• Verification by the Verification Officer:  the verification officer appointed by the District Collector will conduct physical and documentary verification and submit his report either accepting or rejecting the scholarship application.
